Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Brianna Randall | Outlander | Video

[personal profile] roundthecentralaxis 2016-07-14 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[Bree had always had a dose of skepticism when it came to her mother's ridiculous stories about the stones and Jamie Fraser but now that she had somehow come to a weird place without any real memory how she got here aside from the boat she came in on, she understood a little. Just a little. She wasn't going to give her mother full credit because, really, that was just insane, but she understood the tiniest bit of what she must have felt like if it was real.

The network fascinated her. It was nothing she had ever seen back home and the idea that a phone could be so small, could be held in the palm of her hand and transmit voice and picture like a camera? It was insane.]

Hi, everyone. I'm Brianna Randall and I'm looking for some answers. I'd really, really like to know how I got here and how I can leave. So, if you have any suggestions, it's an open forum. I'm willing to try just about anything.

[Bree leaned in a little, lowering her voice.]

I'll take any suggestions, no matter how crazy.

[ How about an almost painfully handsome redhead, Bree? Because that's what you're getting. Also not at all sorry for continuing to make you put up with really thick Scottish accents.

Unfortunately, he's not particularly good-humored today. Mostly resigned. ]

Your guess is as good as any, lass. If you've a lucky stroke, you may wake up one morning back home.

Less lucky is the returnin' here.

[Bree had only begun to be able to parse Roger's accent before winding up here and this man's accent was a hell of a lot thicker than anything Roger ever gave her. It took her a moment to figure out what he'd said and once she had, she barely refrained from rolling her eyes.]

Yeah, well, the women in my family tend to have that kind of luck. So, have you done it? Have you gone back home?

[personal profile] brochtuarach 2016-07-15 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, aye. 'Twas as if no time had passed.

[ Which, he suspects, is different from Claire's version of traveling through time. But he's trying not to think about that. ]

When I returned here, some time had passed, as well, but not as much as back home. For what it's worth.

Re: video;

[personal profile] roundthecentralaxis 2016-07-15 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
[It was a little comforting, if only because she wouldn't want her mother to worry. Claire Randall had done enough worrying over her life to have to worry about where she'd gotten off to. Bree didn't want to do that to her even if her mother would prefer to be in the past instead of the present.]

It's worth a lot. I wouldn't want my mother to worry about me. They tend to do that even when you're an adult, you know.

Aye, I ken. Ye never want to be the cause of grief for your parents.

[ He feels responsible for his father's death to this day - wishes he could've done something different, if only to spare Brian. But, he can't change that, either. Best not to dwell on it. ]

Oh, my name's Jamie, by the by. Jamie Fraser. Pleasure to meet ye.

Re: video;

[personal profile] roundthecentralaxis 2016-07-16 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
[Bree startled for a moment and tried to recover. Jamie Fraser. Was it her Jamie Fraser? Was it the man that her mother claimed was her father, someone who came from the 1700s because she somehow magically went back in time through a set of standing stones? Bree gave him a careful look, trying to decide if there was some resemblance between her face and his and, if so, if he'd notice it.]

And you're Scottish, right, Mr. Fraser?

[personal profile] brochtuarach 2016-07-16 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
[ A strange sort of reaction to his name, and he doesn't miss it, but it doesn't really mean anything to him, either.

The name "Randall" might've given him a bit of a start, but it's a common enough English name, and there's really nothing else familiar about this young woman. Nothing that he can put a finger on, anyway. ]

Aye, that I am. Are ye surprised? There's at least one other Scotsman here.

[ Tony shifted slighty as his device flickered to life. He smiled because he was a DiNozzo and that's what he did when faced with a beautiful beautiful woman. Some things won't ever change kid or not. He reached offscreen and started Tali's bouncy seat. ]

Hi Brianna. I'm Anthony DiNozzo. I'm afraid I'm still trying to figure that out myself, but I don't think they let you leave, or else people wouldn't keep coming right?

[ Tony smirked at her ]

I don't know I have a vivid imagination.

[Bree frowned a little and tried to decide if the guy was being serious. She didn't mind being flirted with as a general rule but there was a time and a place. This was neither.]

Do you have any real suggestions or just want to screw with me for a little while? Because I'm asking for serious answers.

[Tony looked taken aback not because he was getting called out, but because she was right. ]

I'm sorry. It's been a long week. I'm not trying to screw with you promise. [ He has a serious expression on his face, not his clown mask at all. ]

I just got here myself, with Tali, who I just found out about. [He scrubs a hand over his face, and looks over at Tali before turning back. ]

I haven't found a way back home, not that I would go anyway, but I'd be happy to help you try and find one. To make up for being a jackass, only if you want.

[Bree lifted one hand, signaling a truce. She hadn't meant to do anything other than call him out on flirting - she hadn't meant to make him feel bad about it. She offered a smile.]

You don't have to self-flagellate, I promise. It's good. I just...I don't like being somewhere that I don't understand. I'm sure you can agree with that, right?

[Tony's head jerk's forward as his hand came up and slapped the back of his head. ]

Thank you Boss. [It may seem strange to Brianna but it focuses Tony instantly. ]

Self-Flagellation is my MO actually, or one of them. But yeah I totally get why it would freak you out. I was supposed to be in Paris with Talli.

Do you have family here?
cricketsong: (leaning back yeah okay)

Re: Brianna Randall | Outlander | Video

[personal profile] cricketsong 2016-07-15 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
[This is probably somewhat unusual for Brianna. While Cricket looks fairly normal, with a really nice Welsh accent, he has a small glowing thing about the size of a penny sitting in his hair.]

Hello Brianna, I'm afraid you're going to be getting a lot of the same answers: we don't know.

[His voice turns a bit sardonic as he continued.]

And I'm also afraid, even killing yourself isn't going to work - if you really want a crazy suggestion.
roundthecentralaxis: (concern)

Re: Brianna Randall | Outlander | Video

[personal profile] roundthecentralaxis 2016-07-16 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
[The idea of killing herself hadn't occurred to Bree at all and she was a little startled by that suggestion. She had barely even lived yet - she was only twenty - so ending it just to attempt to go back home? Ludicrous.]

Yeah, no, I wasn't really looking to step off this mortal coil. I'm just trying to get some answers. How long have you been here?
cricketsong: (looking over shoulder)

Re: Brianna Randall | Outlander | Video

[personal profile] cricketsong 2016-07-16 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
[Sometimes his humor could be a bit on the morbid side. A failing, perhaps. But he shook his head apologetically.]

I didn't mean you should, lass. I just heard that someone brought here had died and come back to life. And you were asking for some crazy suggestions.

As for myself, I've not been here too long.
roundthecentralaxis: (skeptical)

Re: Brianna Randall | Outlander | Video

[personal profile] roundthecentralaxis 2016-07-17 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
[Bree still gave him a bit of a wary look. Anyone who would jump straight to that went beyond morbid sense of humor.]

Yeah, I'm definitely passing on that way out. So, recently arrived? Did you get here through the boats too?
cricketsong: (yeah okay smirk)

Re: Brianna Randall | Outlander | Video

[personal profile] cricketsong 2016-07-17 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Seeing the wary look, he smiled a little, trying to be assuring. He didn't mean to upset her. In any case, definitely a piece of conversation to drop.]

I am and I did. Like waking up from a dream, though in this case more like waking into a dream.

Re: Brianna Randall | Outlander | Video

[personal profile] roundthecentralaxis 2016-07-17 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't particularly like all the weirdness of it. I like things that I can see and touch, things I can take apart and put back together again. This is a little too much for me, I think.

[Bree wasn't sure if she was going to get the kind of easily-digestible answer she wanted, though, but that wasn't the fault of anyone else.]

Private Video

[personal profile] dresdensluck 2016-07-15 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
[Harry had just arrived himself, and he nodded to her across a video conection, smiling. ] Hello! They call me Harry. Nice to meet you.

We don't, any of us, really know how we got here, and as yet, no one has found a way to leave. I tried to get to the force fields around the islands, but I couldn't make it.

And the boats well, if you stow away in them, you pass out and wake back up in a starter house here.

[He grumbles, frustrated, and sighs.] I fear we may be trapped, until we can come up with a plan to somehow defeat this place.
roundthecentralaxis: (concerned)

Re: Private Video

[personal profile] roundthecentralaxis 2016-07-16 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
[So even going back to the docks apparently wasn't an option. Hmm. Bree wasn't particularly fond of this place and what she'd learned about it thus far but she guessed that she would just have to do a little more experimentation. Wasn't that part of being an academic anyway? Testing and seeing what results you got?]

I guess you probably tried both of those and you're talking from experience? Because I like to learn by observation - so I'll avoid both of those, thanks.
dresdensluck: (Y - surprised)

Re: Private Video

[personal profile] dresdensluck 2016-07-16 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Sadly, those were all ideas I tried, and learned better from, the hard way. [He sighed, and rubbed his face.]

Even tried breaking into the palace, and woke up in my house again.

[He spread his hands and shook his head.] You're welcome. I like knowing how big the box I'm in is, when I'm being shut in.
roundthecentralaxis: (not bad)

Re: Private Video

Re: Private Video

[personal profile] dresdensluck 2016-07-17 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
Well, yes. I mean, I can survive it... theoretically. I'm just not fond of prisons, of any kind. Even nice, airy gilded ones.

[He shrugs, a why lopsided smile on his face. ]
