Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Getting Settled

Naturally the first thing that Varric did once he got off the boat was find a bar. Not just because he needed a drink, though that was naturally a factor in his decision, but also because bars and taverns were the best sources of information anywhere. All he had to do was settle down in the middle of the crowd and listen. Once he got a feel for the atmosphere, he could slide in a few words here and there to encourage the conversation.

Sure. A blacksmith named Smith. With a name like that, he didn't know what else to do with his life.

"You know," Nadia says, a slight smile twisting her lips as she leans against Varric's table nonchalantly, "my first thought when I found out you were here was to conduct a search of all the local taverns. You're too predictable."

He glanced up at her and smiled, raising his tankard in greeting. "I go where the stories are, Inquisitor. And the best ones are here."

"One of the many reasons I find myself glad you're here," Nadia says, slipping into the seat across from him. "Have you heard any good ones yet?"

"Something about poisonous rabbits?" Varric raised an eyebrow. "The islands were overrun. And they said I just missed a comet. Not quite as intriguing as the rabbits, but I bet it was still an amazing sight."

"Oh yes, those," Nadia says with a sage nod. "Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the attack, so now we can talk about it and laugh at the absurdity."

Great minds think alike and ever since arriving here he's made sure to imbibe a glass or two of wine, just to keep his mind even with the insanity of the situation. Dorian was a man of theory, he was a many of research and this was suddenly a rather large project that even with the help of the Inquisitor would be quite the undertaking. Still, it wasn't as if he wasn't prone to drinking back in their own realm, he wasn't about to drop the hobby and even though he wouldn't admit it, he did slightly miss the beer.

So when he enters the bar and see's yet another familiar face, he wonders if they have stopped arriving off boats and simply started dropping them off at the nearest tavern. A small quirk of his lips and he walked forward, pulling a seat out next to the other without saying a word before dropping into it.

"You're the second man I found from our realm drinking here before I even knew you've arrived. A bit short compared to the other one though."

Staying with the Inquisitor exposed Varric to a lot of weird shit. This was just another on the list, as far as he was concerned. It didn't even surprise him that the others were on this island. The Inquisitor was here; why wouldn't the rest of them eventually follow?

"Is that a dwarf joke, Sparkler?" he asked wryly. "You can do a little better than that." If his greeting wasn't a big enough clue, he was glad to see the mage. At least Varric wouldn't be the only one making snarky comments.
