Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!
3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
arrival
She's only just arrived in this world and it's taking all of her will to keep herself calm. Seeing a boy freaking out gives her strength, simply because someone needs her and she's the sort of person who will always be there for others.]
This is a new world. [She's found nothing to argue the contrary.] As to how, I don't know. I've only just begun to explore.
[Her sentences are smooth and spoken as if reading poetry with a succinct clarity.]
I know this situation is startling and the answer to this question is most likely 'no' but are you alright? I can find you a glass of water if it will help calm your nerves.
no subject
[ The response comes with no respect, the only evidence of any kind of gratitude for an actual intelligible answer being the lack of venom in the words-- well. Mostly lack of venom; a snake can't help his nature, and Ronan can't help his anger at the situation from bleeding through.
(He never can; he feels too much, too fully. It always bleeds through.) ]
What the fucking hell? [ He stares at her like he's not sure whether he'd rather walk away, throw something at her or just yell really loudly; in the end, he does none of these options. ]
That's the stupidest load of platitudes I've heard in my fucking life, are you for real? I want to go back, not a glass of water! [ His voice is loud, sharp, like a punch on the wall, a shattering window. ]
no subject
Yes but as I can't offer that, I can offer something that might help you calm down. For now we're safe and we can learn more. [Her voice remains call but stern. She understands but yelling won't change the situation.]
It isn't ideal but it isn't horrible either.
no subject
[ The anger is replaced with cocky arrogance, a self-assured drawl that aims to prod at that teacher-like quality of hers, to rattle her, to break that perfect, calm facade. ]
Tell me, what exactly about this isn't horrible? Wait, don't, I don't fucking care. [ He pauses, eyes flashing as he looks away, at the crowd, the boat. Mutters, under his breath, ] At least you can wake up from nightmares.
no subject
I can certainly buy you whiskey if you prefer. [Drinking laws in England are different and if he wishes to drink she won't stop him. Kids need to learn by doing, at least that's what she's always thought.]
There might be a day we wake up but isn't it better to take advantage of what's here? You aren't hurt and there is no peace living in the past. As for the unknown... [She glances around.] Well just have to learn more.
[Alice isn't afraid to get her hands dirty and if someone is bringing people here only to hurt them then she'll do everything in her power to stop it.]
