Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Nico avoided the docks most of the time. He figured his fellow demigods would keep him up to date with the arrivals of other demigods. And the sea in general -- well, he wasn't a fan.

He wasn't actually on the docks, though close, when he noticed the aura -- something familiar, something ... important. He walked towards it until--

"Father."

[styxfan]

Hades goes completely still as the familiar voice. He turns to face the young man a look of pain on his face. He isn't sure what his reception will be after everything. "Nico," he says softly, "son...."

Nico is also temporarily frozen. His dad was, let's be real, probably the best of the Big Three. But that shouldn't be an accomplishment. Other Greek gods may have done better-- and other non-Olympian gods definitely did better.

Nico shakes his head and with it, any expectations. "Dad. Welcome."

(He's still a wreck inside, and he knows that Hades probably knows that, but appearances mean something.)

Hades tried to relax his stance as he moved closer to Nico. He needed to see his son for himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming. "Nico...you have every reason to be angry with me, but I promise you....I didn't mean to leave you and your sister alone for so long."

Oh. Ohhh no. Oh, that was just the cue for Nico to clench his fists, scorch any greenery around him, and ... well, scowl at his father, since that was the most he could summon on these islands.

"For seventy years?!

"Sorry. Sorry, we've discussed Bianca and--" Nico swallowed. It wasn't Hades' fault that Bianca didn't answer his calls before being reincarnated.

"You remember Hazel Levesque, right?"

Hades nodded. "I do," he said with a slight smile, "but why bring her up now after all this time? What does she have to do with what I did to you?"

Nico breathed in; Nico breathed out.

"I took her-- rescued her. You know that," he added with a shake of his head. "I just need to know that you won't take her back. She's my sister," he added, looking away again.

He was pathetic. So desperate for a sister that he made sure of her safety before that of his current Medietas friends. As if Hades could make a difference now he was here anyway.

Hades stepped closer slightly and sighed. "Nico....I have been a terrible father to you. I have been to you what my own father was to me and that is wrong. But I swear to you I will do what I can to be better. I will keep the oath Rhea made me swear on the river."

Nico snorted and kept his gaze averted. His hands were in his pockets and his hair hung over his face, true early Noughties Goth style.

Then he sighed, shook his head, and peered up at Hades from under those dark bangs. "Well ... you weren't that bad. You never threw me up. Thank G-- uh, you."

Reflexively, he crossed himself.

Hades laughed at this. "I'm also not at all bothered if you want to curse my name do it. Most people curse my name every day it's what being Death means."
