Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!
3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Fabulous. He should warn Nico. Will knew he should probably go up and greet the God. Gods liked that.
Here goes nothing. Will approached him. "Lord Hades?" Gods he really wasn't ready to meet you. At least this was a 'just got off the boat' meeting, rather than a 'so you're dating my son' meeting.

Hades turned and studied the young man. A godling this one no question and for a moment his heart squeezed as he thought of his children. There was never a time when he did not miss Nico and Bianca deeply, just as much as he missed his dear wife. Zeus had much to answer for and Hades hoped this would be the lifetime where he would get his justice. For now he turned his full attention to the young man...he didn't have the power of Zeus' get, Hades knew his youngest brother's children well. And yet the young man shone brightly.
"Hello," he said politely inclining his head. No reason to be rude even though Hades didn't exactly get along with his siblings and sometimes liked their children even less. "I am surprised to see a godling here, these people do not seem like the worshiping type." Hades knew his reputation and knew it well. It is what made his every happiness hard fought and won. "Who is your father son?"

His father. Will was worried about Apollo. His physical well being, his state of mind. He knew his fathers exploits well, he had bookshelves filled back in Cabin 7. Never before had he been so transformed, so mortal. And helpless. And now Will wasn't even there to help.
"Apollo, sir. There are three others here as well, including your son, Nico."
Now did not seem like a good time to also add 'I'm dating him.' With any luck it would come up naturally before something horrible happened, like Hades walking in on a make out session. Awkward.
Will gave the Lord of the Underworld an awkward look. "I think we're the only one giving offerings. Sir." He added.

Hades freezes for a moment not daring to hope he could see his son again, He wasn't sure what Nico's thoughts on him were, but family was family. Part of him couldn't help wondering if this was some trick of Zeus' some way to lure Hades into a trap and deal with him once and for all. Happiness just wasn't on the cards for those of the Underworld. "My son is here," he asks his tone hopeful, "is he well...safe?"
His feelings on Apollo were less complicated then those on his siblings, Hades found the sun god flighty but hard working and had always been content to let him do his work in peace. "You need not fear me," he says calmly, "I am not at full strength nor do I want to harm anyone here son of Apollo. I have no idea why I've been brought here, but if my son is here I can hope his sister and my wife will soon arrive. Who is the other godling who is here?"
His natural instinct is to protect the children as his brothers and sisters would expect. Hades was the oldest of Rea's children and it was his duty to do so. "I am pleased all of your remember to honor those who sired you."

"He's safe. He's fine. Nico's living with me in my room, in Imber 505. Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase are also there."
Hades wasn't at all what he had expected. In truth, Will wasn't sure what he had expected. But meeting Hades wasn't the nerve wracking experience he had thought it was going to be. Sure, the last time he had seen Hades had been the Battle of Manhattan, in full armor, war chariot pulled by darkness incarnate. He had been glad Hades was on their side. Now? He reminded him a little of his own father, if Apollo wasn't as self centered and flighty. A father who actually remembered his children. Speaking of which, he wasn't sure which sister Hades was talking about, and he wasn't going to touch that one with a ten foot pole.
"Thank you, Lord Hades."

"It is my pleasure son of Apollo," Hades replied feeling his joy ratchet up about ten notches. Nico was safe and in a place of peace, It was more then he could have hoped for and he mentally thanked whatever gods these good people believed in for bringing his son here. Now if only his beloved Persephone would come his contentment would be ten fold. "It is good to know my brother and sister's children are also safe and that you have had each other to lean on."
"What can you tell me about these islands," the god of death and wealth asked.
no subject
"I guess that means you're not here to take us back then?" Will looked around at his new home.
"They're weird. People from all over just show up, from places I'm not familiar with. And they're ....encouraging us to go to school." Will didn't like that part. He hadn't been to a regular school in years. This one didn't even teach archery or monster fighting or medical skills. He had to do that after.
"But there hasn't been any monster attacks. Yet." Will said, not quite ready to let go of the paranoia that had been hammered into him.
no subject
Hades looked surprised. "Of course I haven't come to take you anywhere. Why would I force you to go anywhere you didn't want to go." What had happened that Will would assume Hades would simply make decisions for him and not give anyone else a say in the matter. He shook his head. "No that is not who I am. Mortals must have free will. I know Zeus believes differently, but what is the use of free will if people who have it don't use it."
The comment about monster attacks makes Hades chuckle. "Well that is a blessing. Sometimes even I get tired of fighting monsters."
no subject
"That's great. Free will and all." What he really wanted to say was that they might be able to exercise it more if they didn't keep having to save the Gods, or if they could keep their pants on. Which.....at least the last part wasn't Hades fault. Of all the gods, barring Hera and Artemis, he had done a surprisingly good job of not siring half bloods.
"Can you take us home? If we wanted it?"
The comment about the monsters almost made him lose it. Not the impression he wanted to make to Nico's father. Especially one that could kill him with a moments notice and turn him into a mindless ghost. Instead, he said, " Monsters are a little different when you're a half-blood. It's not nearly as much fun."
no subject
"I'm not sure I can," Hades admits, "I have been cursed by my brother and I have yet to test my abilities. I have no wish to harm anyone living without reason."
no subject
"There's a lot of that going around. Zeus got angry with my Dad too. He's currently a fifteen year old mortal." Zeus needed a xanax or there wasn't going to be any Gods left up there.
