Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!
3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"This oak has grown with no one to love him," she explains, wistfulness in her tone. "I would like to share mine with him for a moment. He should know a dryade's care, if only for a brief time."
Hazel eyes are asking if Remylebeau won't mind halting their exploration for the dryade to climb the oak and imbue it with a tiny bit of her life's force. If she has any. Otherwise, she just wants to be in a tree for a minute.

He smiled at her. "And is there anything I can do to help?" She had a good heart, this girl.

"You are welcome to climb, if it takes your fancy," she tells him with a smile, then promptly sheds her chiton. Completely nude save for her long red hair and the few flowers woven into it, the dryade reaches out both hands to the trunk of the tree, then climbs it so swiftly she almost flies. Cradled by strong branches, smooth limbs wrap themselves as far around the oak as her slight body allows. The majestic tree visibly shudders in response, and one branch clearly moves to cradle her back.
Her eyes are closed, and Remylebeau might be able to hear her crooning gently to the ancient tree, singing to him of life and sunlight and rain and sweet joys.

Because.
Wow.
he slid closer, listening, watching her, and curious at what she was doing, how she was doing it. She seemed a little like a mutant.
no subject
The tree is responding to her because that is simply the way of dryades.
After a few minutes, the oak's foliage is slightly more green, its bark a richer brown, and there are several new leaves crowning her auburn hair when she jumps lightly to the ground.
Smiling sweetly up at her companion, who is standing by her discarded chiton, she says, "Thank you for waiting. He's a lovely tree, and it was my pleasure to tend to him."
Eurydice has missed trees greatly in the Underworld.

He smiled a little wryly.
"We should find the house they assigned to you, so you can have it as a home base to go out from."
no subject
But she does lean up to kiss his cheek in thanks.
"You are kind, Remy," she replies, taking the chiton and wrapping it with expert grace around her slender figure, the material both hinting at and hiding it. "I am glad to have met you. Will I stay here long, do you think?"
no subject
He shrugged and offered her a hand as he led the way away from the stately oak. "I don't know. Remy's only been here a short while. So, maybe not?"
no subject
"I do not understand all your words," she smiles up at him, slipping her hand into his. "But it is an endearment? A term for one whom you like? A friend."
As for the rest, she only nods, a little doubtful as to her own permanence. She's supposed to be dead, after all.

"So, when they gave you a device and a map, in the device or on the map, there should be a listed home for you. If we find it, you can choose to rest there, or in the forests, as you like."
Grr, I didn't spot that html fail. Sorry.
"We are friends, Remylebeau," she decides with cheerful deliberateness, and offers him her somewhat crumpled map and device. "If you would be so kind as to help me, I will weave you a crown of flowers."
A generous offer from a nymph, and if he looks, he'll find she's been assigned quarters in Imber - 204, pending approval from the powers that be. It seems she's here to stay, for a while.
Re: Grr, I didn't spot that html fail. Sorry.
With a blink, he pushes it, then speaks in English, and find his words translated into her language, perfectly.]
We are. And always will be. And it looks like I've found a translation function on this device. Can you understand me? [ The map is forgotten for a moment. ]

"The stone speaks?" she asks, and looks immediately surprised and somewhat mistrustful when the box throws out the same strange tongue in a voice she recognizes as female, though not hers. Or at least if it is, she doesn't sound like that to her own ears. "How-- how... can this... be?"
Her words begin to falter as she tries to speak and listen at the same time to the lovely sounds of her native Greek transforming into something so foreign she can't name it.
