Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"I don't know what a medietas is," Augustine said, smoothly. "What region are we in? Where's Kalos?" He shook his head, looking thoroughly bewildered. "I'm sorry, my manners are terrible. I'm Augustine Sycamore."

"It's the name of this place. It isn't a thing." He canted his head to the side. "You're not on your world, anymore." Remy rubbed his face.

"Most people call me Gambit."

Gambit? Well it wasn't the strangest name he'd ever heard. He took a moment to digest what Remy had said. There was reason to doubt Remy or think he was lying. Augustine looked at his communication device, wondering who he would even call. "Why bring me here? I'm a scientist, not. . . I don't even know. Maybe a trainer would like it here, with all the stranger Pokemon."

Remy shook his head. "Nobody knows why anyone was brought here. Maybe you'll be the one to figure it out." Remy grinned. "Scientist, and all, maybe you can."

He squinted. "What are Pokemon?"

Augustine huffed a little, then looked around for an example. There was a painting of a bird on a shop window and he pointed to it. "That's a pokemon. There are all kinds, they live everywhere." He didn't know how to properly explain what pokemon were. "They live alongside people, sometimes bonding quite deeply with people that treat them with care and respect. That's what I study, the bond that's required for them to mega evolve."

"Ah... no. That is a bird, an animal." Remy peered at the man.

"You study animals?" That was fair enough. "LOts of work for that kind of thing here."

[professorhotpants]

Animal. Okay. Different word, same idea, hopefully. He looked visibly relieved. "Is there? Fantastic! I would hate to interrupt my research."

Remy wasn't sure this guy was right in the head, but okay. "You'll probably still need to get another job unless there is a animal research lab here."

[professorhotpants]

That was disheartening. Augustine considered that for a moment. "I'll find something to do. I patched up poke- er, animals when I was training to be a scientist, perhaps I could go back to doing that?"

"Probably. Where there are animals and people, there are animals needing patching up." he grinned.

"Did they give you a housing assignment on the docks? There's sometimes things there that are from our homes."

[professorhotpants]

Augustine nodded. "I was looking for my house, but I seem to have gotten turned around." He slid the map over to Remy, pointing to the place they'd said his house was. "I need to get here, but I don't know where I am now."

"I can help with dat. Remy is good with maps." He examined the map, then nodded. "We're over here," and he tapped the map in a different place, then traced a way to the other place.

"We go dis way, we get you home jus' fine, okay?" Remy nodded. "Remy make sure you get home safe and sound."

[professorhotpants]

"That's very kind of you," Augustine said with a wide smile. "I'd appreciate it a lot. I don't get out of my lab much these days, and all maps are computerized and rely on GPS and all other sorts of technology."

He pushed off from the railing, giving Remy a brilliant smile. "So your name is Remy, hmmm?"

"I can understand that. But you need to get a few non-tech skills. Else, things like this will bite you in the ass." Remy nodded, sticking out a hand. "Some call me Remy, too."

[professorhotpants]

"You're almost certainly correct," Augustine agreed. He was in a strange new world, he needed to be prepared for it.

When Remy offered his hand Augustine shook it. He gave Remy a confident smile. "Would you like to have a drink when we get to my home? Assuming, of course, I have anything to drink."

Remy shook his hand, then nodded and led the way down the road. "Remy never turned down a drink with a new friend, before. Sure." He nodded as they walked.

"If not, I know a good place, mon ami."

[professorhotpants]

"OH! You speak Kalosan?" Augustine said, feeling relief. He wasn't completely at sea, it seemed. "Merveilleux!" The relief was obvious in his posture and face. He was a whole different person when he was at ease.

"French. And Cajun, too." Remy chuckled. This guy obviously came from an alternate universe with a capital AU, but he was amusing.

"Come on, let's get you sorted."

[professorhotpants]

Augustine nodded, heading off in the direction Remy had indicated. "French. Is that what it's called in your universe? It must be."

"Yes. Far as I can tell, you must come from one like, but not like, my own." He grinned and nodded down the way.

[professorhotpants]

"Interesting. I'm not used to all this new stuff. Most research is centered around pokemon in my universe." Which was, he was beginning to realize, rather short sighted. "Of course, most people are trainers in my universe as well."

"Must be a rather peaceful universe. Sounds like maybe someone keeping your world together, behind the scenes." Here, professor, have the ideas of a professional skeptic and paranoiac.

[professorhotpants]

Augustine shrugged. "Maybe Arceus. It would make sense."

"Who's Arceus?" As they walked along, Remy waved and tossed a coin at a vendor, then got two bottles of water back, and handed one to the other man.

[professorhotpants]

"Possibly the first pokemon. It's incredibly powerful and supposedly very intelligent. Not many have seen it. I'm not one of the people who has. If anyone is keeping us safe, it's likely that pokemon."

He took the water and drank some, sighing in relief when he finished drinking. "Ah, that hit the spot. It's a lovely day, today. Is the weather here temperate?"
