Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"You... don't remember being here before, do you?" is Gabriel's reaction to her. All right then. Different universe's version from the Paige he met once.

Meanwhile, she gets to have an archangel. Have fun with that one, Paige.

[halflighting]

Hey, Paige was kind of half-angel herself, so she could roll with it. As to Gabriel's question, he got a bewildered shake of the head. "Nope, sorry, doesn't ring a bell."

[lotsoflaughs]

Gabriel studies her for a moment. "You seem maybe a little younger than I remember. So. Not only different version of your universe, I think but different point in the timeline."

"I'm Gabriel," he continues. "We met when I felt recovered enough from what I had going on when I arrived, to try to leave. One of the places I ended up was your classroom. Cue you following me to find out who just gave your students candy."

[halflighting]

Younger? Okay, so apparently she was going to come back here in the future. Or something. Except from what Gabriel was saying, it sounded almost like he'd encountered a younger version of her. She hadn't been a teacher in a long time. Maybe she went back to it while she was here.

"That does sound like me," she admitted. "Nice to meet you again, Gabriel. Uh, I guess you already know my name is Paige." She gave him a little smile.

[lotsoflaughs]

Like he said. Multiple universe fuckery.

"Yup," Gabriel agrees. "Although I had to find out from Chris. I wasn't really sticking around to chat the time you and I met. I found out from him because of a get-together we were having about the differences between worlds, lest he stomps on toes and gets bitch-slapped for it. Again. Told him I've seen his mode of travel before and produced an illusion to show him who I'd met. Cue him recognizing you."

[halflighting]

Hey, she's met her evil version before, so multiple universes isn't a foreign concept. Still, she couldn't help smiling a little at Gabriel's explanation. That sounded like Chris, all right.

"So, you want to show a girl the sights?" Someone who already knew her and her nephew was as good as anyone to hang around.

[lotsoflaughs]

"Well, currently, we're on Aerilon, which is the middle island. It's the island that's basically the business distract. The only people who live here are the ones in the castle. Eurus is to the east and is mostly mountains and caves with a handful of places, like the bookstore, to go. The southern-most island is Mulciber, which is where my house is, is desert. It has stuff like the police station and places for physical activities, like the pool and the training center. Think gym but with more variety.

"Imber, to the west, is mostly beach. Has things like the clinic and the bar I used to go to before I swapped bars to follow a couple people to their new one on Mundus. Speaking of, that one's forests and fields and is to the north. It has kiddie housing for those kids here without a parent or other adult and aren't old enough to have their own place. That should give you a general overview of things although obviously, there's more to find by looking around yourself. So. Anyplace you'd like to start or do you want me to pick one?" Yes, he's aware there's lots of choices and information packed into what he just said. He can wait.

[halflighting]

That was a lot of information to take in all at once, but Paige listened and tried to think of where to go first. They all sounded like places she should check out, though obviously she wasn't going to drag Gabriel around with her the whole time.

"It does sound like there's a lot going on," she said at last. "Where do you like to go? I'll need good recommendations."

[lotsoflaughs]

"I like to go to Harvelle's Roadhouse on Mundus to drink, although they also do food. You might get a little side-eyed when you being Chris' aunt comes up, though. Given most people's introduction to him was when he decided picking a fight with an archangel on opening night was a good idea," Gabriel says. He's giving her fair warning. Chris made an impression.

"The Troll and the Fish is on this island. It's a pub with decent food. The Rotten Tooth and Frozen Lick are a candy store and ice cream parlor, respectively. They're both good." Drinking and sweets. Those are his priorities when it comes to food.

[halflighting]

Paige should've gotten a medal for not visibly rolling her eyes at that. Seriously, Chris? Though at least that sounded better than the first impression he made with the Charmed Ones.

"I'd like to hope people judge me for me," she said in response to all that. She did make a mental note to ask Chris about all that when they had a private moment. "But thanks for the head's up anyway."

[lotsoflaughs]

"Most people would want that, but people are people. They're gonna do what they're gonna do." At least Chris is managing to fix things somewhat.

"For reference, since Chris didn't seem to know this as you guys use different terms, archangels are the very top of the angelic pecking order in my world. Equal to your elders in rank although a lot more powerful." Just to make it a little clearer how badly Chris screwed up.

[halflighting]

"Dude, I know what archangels are," Paige assured him, and this time she did roll her eyes. And she also knew the name of one was Gabriel.

[lotsoflaughs]

"So Chris apparently didn't pay attention in class. Good to know," Gabriel says mildly, hiding his annoyance. Probably not the best time to be a smartass.

[halflighting]

"I wouldn't know. He being from the future and all," Paige said casually. She definitely needed to have a talk with Chris so she could figure out where he was in his personal timeline.

[lotsoflaughs]

"Popping around in time is something angels from my world do, as well. Not that we do it often." Gabriel's just sharing a tidbit of information here.

[halflighting]

"If we're really going to talk about the similarities and differences in our worlds, maybe we need to find somewhere to sit down," Paige suggested.

[lotsoflaughs]

"Probably. Or we can play a game of telephone and let Chris fill you in on what he's learned. See what he remembers right," Gabriel says with a grin.

[halflighting]

"I'll get myself settled and then we can talk," Paige decided. She was going to talk to Chris either way.

[lotsoflaughs]

"Probably the best move. You'll know where to go for primal screaming into a pillow purposes as needed," Gabriel says with a grin. He has no doubt hearing about Chris' exploits in more detail will result in a certain amount of 'why?!'.

[halflighting]

"I'll keep that in mind," Paige assured him. She wasn't really the screaming into a pillow type, but she wasn't exactly looking forward to hearing all the details, either.

[lotsoflaughs]

"Oh, while I'm thinking about it, the Seaman's Flagon on Imber is a bar. It's good. Used to go there before I followed someone from home to the Roadhouse when she opened it up," Gabriel says, just thinking of it. "Should I let you get to it, then?"

[halflighting]

"Thanks for all the tips and the head's up on Chris," Paige said. She consulted her map. "I think I'll get my bearings, then we can sit down and hash out what's been going on. See ya then!" No one else was really noticing and Gabriel already knew about angels and Chris, so Paige decided to test out her orbing.

It worked, dissolving her into white light as she moved to where her new house was on the map.
