Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!
3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Durotan | Warcraft
Durotan knew nothing about technology. The most advanced his clan had ever gotten was engineering to mount ever larger and more impressive beastly tusks to their huts. Orcs loved their bones and fangs. What they didn't love was trying to use devices obviously meant for tiny hands, which they didn't have. Durotan's hands were average for an orc, but massive compared to this tiny thing in his palm. All he could do was glower down upon it with a bewildered frustration.
The people here, they had told him it was to communicate with. Who was he supposed to communicate with, exactly? Durotan had no idea how to use it, let alone what to do with it assuming he ever did figure it out.
As frustrated as he was, Durotan had no plans of moving from his spot for some time. He was sitting on a low, stone wall that lined a decorative planter. Sprawling above him blotting out the sun was a large tree, and a cool breeze was helping ease his anxious mind. Nothing here was familiar to him, nothing here was supposed to be. He wasn't supposed to be here, and that's the true thing which he was struggling with and not the scapegoat device in his hand.

...if you want to meet him some other way, feel free!...

So, as she walked along the sidewalk, she fully intended to be just fine - and, as she turned the corner and came upon a sight she'd never seen before, her eyes went wide and her mouth opened a little. The... creature in front of her was radiating frustration and, as she caught sight of the device in... it's(??) hand, she took a very cautious step forward.
"It's more difficult than they tell you," she offered with a hestitant smile, not sure if English was preferred or what would be understood.

It looked rather small in the chieftain's hands, but it did give him an idea. He poked at the communicator until he'd located something he'd seen in passing while exploring it prior, turning it on and hoping that it worked as he thought it should.
If he was right, then he and the chieftain should by all rights be able to understand each other without the necessity of a living translator.
He closed the remaining distance between him and the orc, coming to a halt just shy of arms distance. "Hello. I can sympathize I think with how you must be feeling currently." He suspected it was worse for Durotan, given he was even more of a stranger in a strange land currently.
"Can I see your device for a moment?" He asked, gesturing with his free hand toward it. "It has a translator. I can turn on for you."
Sorry for the randomness, but it was too tempting...
He spotted an Orc! Alright! He considered taking off his shirt, to show off his Kelsheen mark, but then he's have to carry it, and his pink jacket looked better against the black shirt. Besides, nothing quite beat a dramatic reveal.
So, with a grin on his lips, his axe on his back, his sword on his hip, and a friendly wave, he approached the lone Orc. And did what he does when confronted with an Orc, speak to them in their own language, it's only polite, right? "Fruit! My name is little pink man who wears pink."
