Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Event

Since it seems that she's stuck on this island-- and Hermione already tried to Apparate out a few times-- Hermione decided it was time she mingle with others and learn more about the place. As she wanders around the faire she listens in on conversations and tries looking for any familiar faces.

She felt the presence of another witch.... but her sense of this girl was odd. Was she a half-blood? That could explain why she felt almost nothing of the Darkness from her. Well, one way to find out. Cassidy put on a charming smile, pushing aside her worries for the moment, and walked over.

"Good morning," she said to the other girl. "Seems to be a lovely day at least."

Hermione gave the other girl a little smile. "It is lovely," she agreed. Curious and hopeful for information on the place, she asked: "D'you happen to know what they're celebrating?"

She shook her head. "I'm not sure. I just arrived here myself, and am a little out of my depth," she said, touching the rose jewel on her necklace.

Wait, was she wearing that necklace a second ago..?

"Oh, I see." She was a bit disappointed, but she was sure someone could tell them the reason behind this fair. "I'm a bit out of my depth too, honestly." Not to mention she'd been doing something important just before finding herself on that boat, but there was nothing to be done about that until she learned more about this place.

"I'm Hermione, by the way," she added.

"I'm Cassidy," she said with a warm smile.

She sighed and looked around. "I've tried asking people if they know anything about how I came here, but it seems to have happened to everyone else."

"Hullo, Cassidy," Hermione said courteously. She frowned at the news of everyone showing up in a similar way. "So this place just brings people here... and no one knows how or why?" Worse, if no one knew how or why, they wouldn't know how to get back.

It made the place feel more sinister.

She nodded. "I don't like it. It doesn't feel tainted or off... but there is something not right here, all the same...."

Hermione had to agree: there was definitely something wrong with this place. The question remained what that something could be. "Well, we won't figure it out by standing around. Let's see if we can find anyone in charge."

[lady_cassidy]

She nodded. "I haven't sensed any Queens or Princes, but maybe between us, we can find whoever rules here," she agreed. She only wore the Rose, so she was fairly weak, for the Blood, but she couldn't sense a Jewel at all from this girl, so she might be half blood, or she might just be a witch. Either way, Cassidy's shields were the best defense they had, so she would have to stay alert.

Hermione took a mental note of the word "queen" but said nothing. "Well, then," she said, "we can see if they have a town hall or some sort of administrative building." She took out the map she was given upon arrival. Surely this place would at least have a building dedicated to information for arrivals such as herself and Cassidy.

She nodded, looking over her shoulder. "I wasn't sure if the things they gave us was safe, be careful."

Hermione had already done a few spells on it to check, so it was relatively safe. "It's all right," she assured the other girl. "C'mon, let's look around."

She nodded. "Alright. Do you want me to extend my shields to cover you?" she offered.

"Oh, no, that's quite all right," Hermione said with a little shake of her head. "I'm capable of protecting myself if I need."

[lady_cassidy]

She nodded. She wasn't sure how the girl could protect herself, but she wasn't going to insult her or challenge her. She probably had enough pig headed stubborn males back home to do that, that she didn't need more of the same from a sister.

"Alright."

Luna's ponytail (with wand tucked into it) had a way of sticking out and when she realized the girl nearby was indeed Hermione she made sure her earrings could be spotted. "Hermione! Its me, Luna!" knowing she was still wrecked from the manor. She wanted to give her friend a hug but gave her space as well.

Hermione was delighted to see the other girl. While she and Luna never saw eye-to-eye on certain things, they were comrades in Dumbledore's Army. So she greeted Luna in a hug.

"It's so good to see you! Have you been here very long?"

Of course Luna has a hug in return since Hermione is a comrade,"A few months now, last thing I remember before the boats was escaping the manor and making for the cottage." she offered as a way to maybe fill in some blanks. "So far there's only a few of us here: me, Neville and Sirius plus someone I believe may be from a different era." trying to think of a way to explain Helga.

What she was saying didn't make much sense even by Luna standards. So she didn't know about being back at Hogwarts and leading Harry to the Ravenclaw tower? Hearing Sirius's name came as a shock as well. Hermione shook that off for the moment and tried to focus.

"I'll call Neville with the D. A. coin and we can talk about what's been going on. And I feel like we may need to catch each other up on what's been going on back home."
