Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Have an old muse you want to dust off, or voice test a brand new one in our game setting? Then you've come to the right place!

How To Play:

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat, with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor with what appears to be.. are those floating islands? They sure are! And as if that isn't mind boggling enough, no one seems to have answers. But you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device and send you on your way. Perhaps the questions can wait for now. There's a new place to explore!

2. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to see, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Visit the market on Aerilon. Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.

3. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!

4. Wild Card! Customize your own scenario to fit your needs!

For Alric's part, he had merely been exploring the shops, but it wasn't hard to spot the newcomer in some manner of distress, out of sorts as he was. He stepped nearer, hands raised slightly in a soothing gesture, with a calm, affable smile.

"Newly arrived, I presume. How can I help you?"

Thor turned to the man and smiled, hopeful. "Indeed, friend." He waved a hand. "I seek to find [name] island, and to see where it is, and learn more of this place. Those who greeted me seemed lame of mind and low of willingness to share information."

There was a growl in his words that that, and a flicker of lightning in his eyes.

Alric's hands remained in the same calming position as he approached. He wore a sword at his hip, but by his posture, he seemed to have so little intention to draw it that it could have been decorative.

"...I'm certain there was no harm intended. Still, I understand how frustrating it can be upon arriving here so unexpectedly. I'd be glad to escort you, if you wish. My name is Alric, of House Caelegart. And you are...?"

Thor eyed the man, and nodded. "I do not share your certainty, since they are... " He shook his head, and changed his words.

"I am Thor, Odinson, or Asgard. Well met, Alric of House Caelegart." And he offered his arm as a warrior might, to grasp the other's wrist when offered.

Alric adapted readily, clasping Thor's arm in similar fashion--his grip feeling cautious, in a way, as though treating the Asgardian delicately for some reason--although his smile grew a touch more serious.

"They are most gracious, welcoming hosts. Something for which we cannot be too grateful. And the honor surely is mine--Your Lordship, is it?"

It was hard to miss that Thor had the bearing of someone raised among nobility. The impassioned nature and boldness could come from any background, but the air of integral pride was certainly aristocratic.

"Do correct me, of course, as necessary; I certainly wish to offer no offense."

"Merely Thor, friend. My days of nobility are long behind me." And it was true, for Midgard was his home now, and Asgard was a memory in the mirror, albeit one that loomed large.

Thor looked around. "This place has the feel of a gilded trap."

Alric paused briefly at that reply, but smiled and tilted his head acceptingly. No need to push for an explanation immediately, after all.

"...mm. Well, as you wish, Thor. As to this place... there are enough here whom it would be no advantage to trap--and enough also whom it would be a grave mistake to trap--that I'm inclined to suspect something else entirely is afoot. Still, I can certainly understand your suspicions, given the mysterious means of our arrival."

Thor shrugged. It has been my experience with villains that they rarely make as much sense as they think they do, or as others think they should, but you may be right, my friend."

He looked around and sighed. "Mayhap there is another, more hidden agenda."

Alric chuckled softly, offering a lighthearted, reassuring smile, projecting both sympathy and confidence--in particular, careful that his council should sound more diplomatic, or even friendly, than judgmental.

"There may indeed be such an agenda; but there are more than a few innocents, here, who deserve, I believe, some modicum of subtlety and discretion in the means by which we seek to identify it. I have my own suspicions, of course, but would you not rightly scold me, were I to visit distress upon those who merely live here, in my search for answers?"

Thor nodded. "In truth, I would prefer it so. Some peace would be intriguing. But only some peace." Thor would get bored, and let's face it, even Thor knew that was a bad thing.

"One must always protect those who cannot protect themselves."

"I've no doubt we will find ways to keep ourselves occupied."

Alric smiled to himself at that.

"But I'm certainly glad to hear we're in such strong agreement on that point."

"What can you tell me of this place, my friend? How many people have been thusly brought, and is there a list?" For suddenly the possibility of Jane being here occurred to him.

"A list?"

Alric raised his eyebrows at that.

"...mm... not one that I've seen, myself. Of course, not everyone wishes to be listed."

He pauses, considering.

"...a few dozen, perhaps, at a guess? Our purpose here remains somewhat... enigmatic, although it's not clear whether information is being withheld deliberately, or simply cannot be shared, for some reason. However, I have traveled enough to know that such matters are often more complicated than they appear on the surface... and there are those for whom being here has proven a definite boon."

"Most realms keep note of those who are brought in to their borders. Whether or not there is one apparent, there is likely one, somewhere." Thor was reminded of both his father's policies, and those of groups like SHIELD.

"Aye. I am not overly fond of lists, myself. I was just reminded that if i am here, so too might the woman I love be here."

Thor nodded again at the other man's words. "I can imagine so. My own universe tends to have many chaotic events, wars and the like, which disrupt lives. I can only imagine that most would rather not live in such."

Ahh, that clarified a great deal. Alric smiled and nodded.

"I fully understand, and sincerely wish that you might find her, here.

And, yes, some of us have certainly been... considerably less fortunate than others, in the circumstances of their native time and place. For their sake, at the very least, I am willing to be patient with the silence of those who brought us here. ...still, I assure you, I do sympathize."

Thor nodded. "IN truth, I am in no real hurry to return, save that if I stay, I would wish some friends come here also." He grinned at the idea.
"Though perhaps not Volstagg. I am not sure this city could survive his intense appetite."

Alric raises his eyebrows and chuckles at that.

"...indeed? You must have some most impressive friends, if that's the case--and a most impressive homeland to support them."
