Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Have an old muse you want to dust off, or voice test a brand new one in our game setting? Then you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat, with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor with what appears to be.. are those floating islands? They sure are! And as if that isn't mind boggling enough, no one seems to have answers. But you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device and send you on your way. Perhaps the questions can wait for now. There's a new place to explore!
2. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to see, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Visit the market on Aerilon. Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.
3. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!
4. Wild Card! Customize your own scenario to fit your needs!
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
"I'll tell you a secret, little one," Obi-Wan said, keeping his voice low and soft so that the girl felt she was truly sharing a secret with him.
"I am a hermit, though I live in a cave and not a mountain. You were absolutely right. I don't think I smell, though. Do I smell?"
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
"You're not one of the dogs," he said in the tone of voice of someone who is used to this as he grinned a little at the other adult.
Siiiiigh. "Nooo...you mustn't be a very good hermit."
"Or maybe only mountain hermits smell like pee.
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
Obi-Wan laughed and got to his feet, offering his hand in greeting to the man who must be the girl's father or guardian. They had a look about them, similar enough, so possibly they were related.
"Ben Kenobi. It's a pleasure to meet you and the little one."
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
Rory took the hand in a good grip, "Rory McCallum and this is my niece, Ceilidh McCallum. Good to meet you."
He watched to see if there was any sort of recognition to his name.
"And this is Princess Stabbity!" Ceilidh informed Ben, holding up her "bloody" princess doll that wore a tiara as well as held a bloody sword.
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
"Well, she's quite the princess, isn't she?" Seeing her reminded him painfully of all the little ones that he'd failed at the end of the war and Obi-Wan pushed that aside and tried to focus on the good. This was a new place with new people and it seemed to be far away from his own galaxy and the concerns within it.
"It's my pleasure, Rory. And, of course, Ceilidh. Did her parents not come with you?"
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
Grimacing he said, "No, her mum didn't come with. I'd just picked Ceilidh up from a friend's house and we were on our way back to the Hall when we ended up here. It's too bad, I would have liked the backup."
Not having someone he can trust to watch his back is bothering Rory greatly. While he'd prefer his twin sister Grace, any other family member would work. And it was always entertaining watching Siobhan take people down with just her words. The phrase mock some one to death was truer with her than with other people.
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
"I recently found myself in care of a small child, too. It's quite a predicament if one isn't prepared for it."
Though, really, it appeared Luke was tucked away back on Tatooine with his aunt and uncle and he was all alone. More the better.
"Do you have any of your own?"
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
"Auntie Grace says that anyone who wants to have kids with Uncle Rory is a bigger fucking fool than he is and he's a crow begotten fool!" She beamed at Ben some more delighted to be able to contribute to the adults' conversation.
Rory, meanwhile, just sort of sighed in amusement at Ceilidh, clearly used to these outbursts.
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
At such rough language, Obi-Wan startled a bit. He wasn't unused to it himself, being a General and dealing with pilots, but it was a little startling from a young girl.
"Youngling, has anyone ever told you that sometimes we don't always repeat what we hear verbatim?"
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
As much as he tries, Rory can't keep a straight face. It's true. And she has taken that very seriously since her nana told her this. However she's also never actually put it into practice.
"We've been trying," said Rory, trying not to laugh.
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
"Trying is sometimes all we can ask for," Obi-Wan said, chuckling a little. "I know I was a trial upon my master in those early years and he got me after I had gotten old enough to have some semblance of self control. I could never have been one of the masters who tended the creche. The young are...so impressionable."
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
This is a serious compliment according to Ceilidh's expression.
"What were you apprenticed for?" Rory's not exactly sure what sort of profession would require an apprenticeship and watching over a nursery.
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
"I was a Jedi," Obi-Wan explained. "And before I took the trials and became a knight and master in my own right, I was merely an apprentice. I was raised in the Temple from the time I was a child. I was smaller than Ceilidh when I came there."
He didn't even remember his birth parents or the system he came from, come to that.
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
Rory glanced down at Ceilidh. "Yes. I am, but not a Jedi Knight. We've never heard of those before."
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
"What sort of knight are you, then?" Obi-Wan was intrigued at the concept of a knight that wasn't a Jedi. He had only heard the term used in relation to the Order and to associate it with something else was both unusual and interesting.
"If you don't mind me asking?"
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
Because Rory's never heard of Jedis. (Not even as a movie thing as they don't exist in his world.)
Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi | post-Revenge of the Sith | 01
"A Jedi uses the Force," Obi-Wan explained. "It lives and breathes around us, sustaining all life and binding us all together. I wouldn't suppose you would know about that, would you?"
