Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Have an old muse you want to dust off, or voice test a brand new one in our game setting? Then you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat, with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor with what appears to be.. are those floating islands? They sure are! And as if that isn't mind boggling enough, no one seems to have answers. But you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device and send you on your way. Perhaps the questions can wait for now. There's a new place to explore!

2. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to see, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Visit the market on Aerilon. Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.

3. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!

4. Wild Card! Customize your own scenario to fit your needs!

House Caelegart. It wasn't a house that Gendry had any familiarity with, and if he was expecting some acknowledgment, he would be waiting a long time. It did put Gendry further on edge, if only because houses meant nobility, and nobility usually wanted something, even if you weren't willing to give it.

"Gendry. And I am."

Alric made no sign at all of being vexed by the lack of acknowledgement or bowing or scraping or whatnot; his manner remained casual and relaxed, but studiously polite.

"Ah... well met, then, Gendry. Forgive me for prying, but may I ask from where you come..?"

He paused a tick.

"Many of us--myself included--are guests, here, just as you are. I ask only... because from some places, there are many people, here."

He smiled a little to himself, as though there was a joke in that; it was pretty clear Gendry wasn't from Kaitheny, if the Caelegart name meant nothing to him, but Alric wasn't about to emphasize that.

"...and very few, from other places. But, ah... I thought that if you have friends, here, already, it might help you to feel more at ease."

"The Inn." He was, perhaps, being very stubborn, knowing that that answer wouldn't mean much. Yet where he came from, originally, didn't matter. A bastard child in a big city. He'd been going to the Wall, for no reason he knew of, before everything had changed. And home? What was home? All he could recall of his mother was her blonde hair, and he knew nothing about the drunkard that had knocked her up.

As for friends. Just like a home, it was another thing he was lacking in. True, he lived with others, but it wasn't as if he formed any strong attachments to them. For a time... Yet there was a bullish shake of his head. "Doubt that. Most of the travel companions I had are dead, and the rest?"

A shrug of his shoulders.

"Ah... I am sorry to hear that. Although... I've known a few who have met those they believed dead, here. So, I meant, rather, to ask from what nation, or kingdom, you hail."

Alric paused just a moment, and smiled a little--he might be standoffish out of concern over meeting someone he'd prefer to avoid. Judging by his lack of reaction to the name Caelegart, he very likely was not Kaithenian, at the least.

"My own is the Kaithenian Empire. I'm afraid I've not yet met anyone from my homeland, here--living or dead."

There were names that Gendry did know, although they tended to be people who had come in to the smithy to get work done, or those lords and ladies that were known for whatever deeds they had done. Personally, Gendry could have cared little for any of them, as all they seemed to do was muck things up again and again. His opinion of nobility wasn't the best.

Yet that shrug of his shoulders again. "Seven Kingdoms."

Vast and expansive, it covered a wide area of land- not that he had seen much of it. Too much, if you were to ask him, as he had been just fine in Kings Landing working at the forge. Although one forge was as good as the next, and he'd been fine at the Inn as well. Not that it seemed like he was going to return to it anytime soon, much to his further annoyance.

"Never heard of it." Then again, Gendry wasn't educated. For all he knew, it could be some place across the waters.

Alric paused a moment--that name was familiar, although not immediately so--and raised his eyebrows, once he made the connection.

"Ah... Seven Kingdoms--do you mean Westeros? I have met a few from there, here. Your inn, I'm afraid, is... very far away. As is my own homeland, so I can scarcely fault you for finding it unfamiliar. None of us has yet found a way to return to the places from which we came... but should you need any assistance adapting to this place, I'm sure I would be glad to provide it."
