Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Have an old muse you want to dust off, or voice test a brand new one in our game setting? Then you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat, with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor with what appears to be.. are those floating islands? They sure are! And as if that isn't mind boggling enough, no one seems to have answers. But you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device and send you on your way. Perhaps the questions can wait for now. There's a new place to explore!

2. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to see, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Visit the market on Aerilon. Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.

3. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!

4. Wild Card! Customize your own scenario to fit your needs!

Lydia just kept an eye on him as he seemed to nurse a headache, though there was no wobbliness or indication that he was anything but fine. A bit shaken, probably, but fine. That was good; she was glad to see that. Too often, she'd shown up to people dying or about to dying or just healing after dying, and it'd be nice to find someone in relatively good condition for a change.

She realised, after a second, that he did have a metal arm. For some reason, she thought it was a shirt, or something just decorative. But no, it looked metal. That held her attention as he hunched and straightened and finally regarded her; only then did Lydia properly look at him again. "Aerilon. At the main docks. I don't suppose you've ever been the victim of interdimensional kidnapping, have you? That would make this much easier."

Bruce should have backed away. The second he saw the man he sensed something was wrong, but he was an Avenger and for once he was tired of being afraid. His time on Asgard had taught him that he and the Hulk could and did fuction as one being. At worst if their was trouble the docks might get smashed, but better smashed docks then dead people.

Bruce waves people away from the man, who looks familiar in a way Bruce can't yet put his finger on. "Hey," he called, "Hey over here. You look lost...can I help?"

"I think there is a juice bar around here somewhere," She teased. Seriously though, they seemed to have everything so a juice bar wasn't out of the realm of possibilities.

"How about a salad and a sandwich?" She also suggested pointing. "There is a fantastic deli."

[personal profile] msromanoff 2016-05-16 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh you have got to be joking!" She yelled across the way. "If you didn't want to talk to me you could have just said so Barnes."

Her tone was both impressed and pissed all at the same time. She let out a deep sigh, and ran for the rail, using it as a lever to propel her to the other deck.

She stood back up and looked around. "Mission status?"

"As long as it's the leafy kind of green I'll eat it," Bruce says, "or drink it if they can juice it. Thor's people were very nice but if one more Asgardian tried to make me eat half an animal I think I was going to die a little."

Physically fine, absolutely. It was rare he took much more than minor cuts and bruises and even those healed quickly enough. Not that it was something he actively paid any attention to which probably made it seem he took it for granted.

His hand came down, brow creasing in further confusion. "Interdimensional kidnapping? What are you talking about? I was in Bucharest before waking up on that boat."

As he speaks, the tone of his voice is still slightly detached.

The mindless violence in which he uses to dispatch of the three men steals Anna's breath away but her gaze continues to be steady on him as she assesses the way he moves. She wonders briefly if the men are alive after he's done, hopes that they are, and shifts over to where she thinks he will land.

Close enough that she is only a couple feet away when he lands beside her, giving her a glance before he goes back to whatever it is he has planned.

"You're not going to get anywhere." She doesn't know if he can or will hear her but she has to try. Then she reaches out to grab him.

"Well, we can't go having a mess," Anna Grace says, laughing softly. It's not exactly her idea of a good time, going splat on the pavement, and she's glad the people in charge seem to agree with her.

"Wouldn't be nice at all."

Anna Grace gives him a broad smile when the bartender produces two drinks with no fuss at all. She isn't real sure if that's because she charmed him or because her new guy friend has helped her out but either way, she's going to repay the karma as best she can.

"Now, look at you going and helping a lady in need," she drawls, all bright eyes and full of charm. Anna Grace has learned how to be very charming in her short life.

"I'm going to need a name to put with a face now."

There's something about her that makes Anna Grace stop in her tracks. It's something...familiar, as weird as it sounds, and she wonders if it's just her being strange or if there's something to it. She has a sixth sense about stuff sometimes, things that her vulpine side knows that her human side doesn't and she's getting a hint.

"Hopefully not," Anna Grace says, frowning just a little. "It would put a cramp in my evening, for sure. Can I ask you a question? A kind of weird one?"

"Mmhm," she confirmed before shrugging one shoulder delicately. She was, of course, the picture of casual, as she always was with things like this. But in the back of her mind, there was some niggling memory trying to come up to the surface; she had a feeling it was something from a world she'd visited before, back in the day. It all blended together.

"You're not in Bucharest anymore," Lydia pointed out, fluttering one hand around them slightly. "Unless this is what Bucharest looks like, at which point, I'd be interested in seeing it."

Cisco Ramon | The Flash

[personal profile] thisismadfreaky 2016-05-17 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
{Thread option}
[Arrival]
Cisco wakes up to find himself surrounded by others who seem equally confused as he feels. Dark eyes scan the crowd of faces searching for a familiar one.

He pushes himself to his feet and wanders toward the boat's edge, peeking over the side of it. Eyebrows arch as he stares for a moment longer before he spins back toward his unintentional audience, pointing vaguely over his shoulder, "We're floating. In a boat. Is anyone else amazed at this right now?!"

[Settling]
Once the locals gave him the welcome spiel, Cisco follows the maps to the island he would apparently find his house on. He was literally assigned a house and he just doesn't know what to do with that. He can still hardly wrap his mind around the idea that he's here, nevermind the implications of being expected to be here. The whole situation is kind of surreal.

He wanders down the block in search of this house and eventually, he finds it, right where it was shown to be. "This is so weird." He mumbles, staring up at the building in front of him before eventually going inside.

{Comm option}
[After Cisco had made a walk through of the house in an attempt to start familiarizing himself with his new surroundings, he turns to the familiar: Computers. Or more specifically, a tablet-like device. He finds the apparent islands-wide network quickly and decides to give it a shot.

A live feed starts and shows Cisco kicked back at the desk shoved in one corner of the room, near the window, where the fading light of day is peeking through.]

Hello, world. [He gives a sweeping wave with his free hand to his cyber-audience before leaning the device up so both hands are free.] I'm guessing most people that are seeing this probably got here the same way I did-- [His hands move animatedly as he speaks.] by the way, those boats? Impressive. And I have a ton of questions about the islands, too, but-- [He holds both hands up in a distinctly 'stop' motion, pausing briefly, before he's just as lively as before.] I'll hold off on that for now.

[He shifts his feet to the floor and leans forward on his knees toward the camera. He's a bit calmer, a little more serious now.] Right now, I'm just looking for any friends I may have around here. And for the mass majority of you that don't know me, the name's Cisco.

It's the sound of screaming that pulls Vision's attention away from the communication device he has been given. The Winter Soldier is easily spotted among the civilians trying to run away from the demented man. If there has been an expression that would have fit the moment, it would have been a frown, but the android simply modifies his density to float up to the Soldier.

From the Mind stone, he fires a warning shot in front of Bucky:

"Jame Buchanan Barnes, I must ask you to calm down," he says sternly as he touches the ground. From the archives he has seen of the man, this may be futile, but if the attempt at calming the man down fails, at least his attention will be redirected to Vision, to someone able to counter his punch.

He pays no mind to her words. They are just that and any sort of random statement or forewarning is lost in a thick haze of determination to move on; to carry through the objective of his assignment even though it wasn't his handlers who made the order.

It's the unmistakable feeling of someone about to make contact with him physically that has him grab her instead, metal fingers curling around her wrist in what seemed to take less time than it would to blink. Distant blue eyes made contact with hazel ones.

He didn't say anything but it was clear by his expression that he wasn't going to accept that statement.
idisobeyed: (orly? you might want to rethink that)

[personal profile] idisobeyed 2016-05-17 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
Anna's breath hitches for a second as he grabs onto her in return. She had expected the metal to be cold but it almost feels like it is burning her skin as he curls his fingers around her wrist. There is no wince of pain though. She merely looks up again, finally seeing the vacant look in his eyes which confirms there is more trouble coming as she recognizes there will be no easy way of stopping him.

She offers him a mental apology then before twisting her hand in his grasp and yanking hard against his thumb. In most people, it might weaken or break the hold but she isn't actually expecting that to happen here considering his hand is metal. It's mostly a distraction as she shifts into place and aims a rather hard punch at his face.

New arrival + video option (Civil War Spoilers may be possible)

[personal profile] voicedbyjarvis 2016-05-17 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Arrival

Vision rarely sleeps, if floating silently in the corner of his room can even be considered as sleeping, but the one time he tries to clear his mind from the turmoil of the past few days, he opens his eyes to a completely different view than the Avengers empty compound.

Wherever he is, the laws of physics he knows seem not to apply, as he flies to give a closer look to the floating boat. A red hand reaches to touch the wood, feeling the smooth of the grain, finding no anomalies that may explain its ability to fly. No change in the density, no rockets or repulsors. Not even motored palms to keep it airborne. It's the strangest thing Vision has ever seen, as this can not be explain with everything known on Earth.

Shifting his focus to the bustling crowd on the dock, he flies there, arriving moments before the boat he woke up on. He is given a device, something to communicate with the rest of the floating islands (and how do they stay in the skies is another mystery to add the Vision's growing list of interrogations). He turns it in his hand before he grows still for a moment, the stone on his forehead gleaming yellow slightly, downloading through contact all the information he can.

He tries a few time to hack into the device, to learn of its origin, but seems each time to be faced with an invisible barrier. Vision frowns, puzzled by this unexpected turn of event:

"How is this possible?"

---------

video;

[The blue eyes and a red skinned face comes into view of the camera, the android tilting his head slightly]

Medietas, it does not exist per Earth's measure. Though given that life exist on more than one planet, and given the high possibility that alternate versions of the Universe we know might exist, this place, it should be known to someone. The device given at my arrival yields very few details of this place, beside maps of the islands and whom resides here. Is there more information available regarding this world?

[Vision is more than aware that some of the Avengers have already arrived here, and where they live, but he will seek his teammates in due time, if they don't seek him first.]

Oh, that warning shot definitely got his attention. He spots the red man hovering as the people run to dodge whatever violence is about to go down. And there will be violence given the Soldier is programmed to achieve mission success. By any means necessary.

So he levels a glare at Vision. One that speaks loud enough without Bucky needing to say a word. There is only brief recognition before he charges towards him.

Whoever tried to get in his way had been quickly (or violently) pushed aside and as the Solider continued moving inwards, towards the market in Aerilon, he didn't stop for much. Not even the man who, while taking the calm approach, seemed to get him to stop.

But he did hear him and even so much as glanced Bruce's way before continuing on.

"Did you go Vegan Doc," She said looking at him again, while opening the door to the Deli. The building was spacious but not covered in Glass which was a very good thing in her opinion.

She kept stealing glances when Bruce wasn't looking. He looked alright to her, but then again he always did.

"Pick your poison. My treat."

Bucky looked around again, gaze moving off the docks and into mid air and then to the boat with the hole in the side of it. That hadn't been the only damage to it, but the men gathering around it before looking and pointing at him had him stare back before letting his gaze flicker back to the red head.

"It's not Bucharest." he confirmed, taking a step back in preparation to start walking. He wasn't going to let them arrest him. He glanced back to the men. He could duck out and disappear, but then that chanced the dock workers questioning the woman.

Still looking away, Bucky asked. "Why don't you show me around."

It hadn't gone unnoticed that there was a bit of a crowd gathering over by the boat. Of course something like this would end up entirely too obvious; this place had too much calmness to it, even with the various goings-on that she had little to no part in. It wasn't the City, that was for sure.

Lydia just nodded, glad that she wasn't entirely out of her mind when she thought Bucharest looked quite different. In truth, she was still interested in seeing it. It sounded interesting, and travel sounded nice. Not like she didn't get enough of it anyway.

"Sure," she granted easily, nodding for him to saunter away with her, far from the onlookers pointing their way. "What do you want to see? There's a nice market around here."
