Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!
3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"We have! You're an old family friend. You've been bothering us McCallums since the very beginning! At least that's what the stories say. And even more once we started making our whiskey. You helped Kale out of a coma when he was eight after he touched the Watchers and they overwhelmed his psychometecy!"
His accent obviously places him from Eire so he doesn't even bother saying that's where he's from.

Very sideways going on here. Though, Rory's not exactly sure what.

"I don't know. I was thirteen at the time. Mum kept us out. There was some old fey in his mind and you convinced him to let Kale go. I think. Kale doesn't really remember either." Though he added because he couldn't really help it.
"He ended up with a mad crush on you."
You needed to tease and embarrass family, even if they weren't around.

Rhys's next words though make him stop on his Kale ramble and tilt his head. "Oh? What do you mean?"

"Ah. Okay. I think I got it. There's no McCallums where you're from, I guess."
Which is a really weird thing to think.

Then, because Morbid Curiosity. "What sort of protectors does Eir... Ireland have?"

"Oh, there's a family or two that's guarding the byways and passages, knowing the old bargains. I haven't checked on them in a while, but it's still there so they're doing all right." He's been across the ocean, so it's kind of hard to keep an eye on everything like he used to.

There's a hesitation as if wondering if he should mention the Clutching Grove, but ultimately he decided against it. This wasn't his Rhys after all. If the McCallums didn't exist then the Grove probably didn't either.

"....they're from your world?"
There'd been stories about how the Morrigan and her family and the others came from another world. They'd been passed down over the generations. But they had no way to confirm it. No one who might have known ever said so. No records remained from the time.
But there were stories of a battle lost and becoming refuges and traveling the cosmic web.
"I mean... we've heard stories... about it. But never any concrete proof. Caelum..."

He knows as well as Rory that it's not, but pulling the spectre of the Clutching Grove into somewhere that seems to be untouched by it seems like a deeply bad idea to him. He shakes his head, the smile returning. "Let's talk of better things. What's magic in this world of yours like, then?"

There's only two of them on the island - three now - that know of the grove. Best to keep it that way.
"What's it like...? Hm... everyone has it. We all have our knacks. I'm a seventh son of a seventh son so I'm Lucky. We get it from our gods though. We worship them and in return they give us magic. Symbiotic relationship."
