Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!

3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Re: Khadgar | Warcraft (possible slight spoilers, but will try avoiding them)

"Same Islands, different one, same world. Still no teleporting out." Merlin's voice was soft and understanding, but amused. He stood in mid-air, a little behind this new mage, having just stepped from a portal of his own, if a very different one. A dimension door, to be exact.

He had been tracking his efforts for awhile, as he had the other mage like him who had arrived.

Such an influx usually meant more would come. Merlin wondered how many would follow these two.

Khadgar jumped briefly with a small splash when the answer came from behind him. He turned around to look at the man, blinking once at the fact he was levitating. Pulling his attention off the mystery of how he was doing that, he turned it to the issue of teleportation and going home.

"You tried as well?"
themerlin: (Hmmm)

Merlin smiled a bit, then nodded as he settled slowly to the ground. "Aye, as have many others I am afraid. As yet, none of us have found a hole in the shield around us, nor a loophole out of it. I've seen technology, magic, and inborn abiltiies all uses, and all fail." He shook his head.

"Which is not to say to stop, just be cautious. The Powers that be of this place can sometimes be cranky, and if you push them too much, too often, they'll rob you of your powers for a short while."

Khadgar nodded briefly once in acknowledgement, though his eyes had slightly widened at the last part. The idea of what or whomever was in charge of this place robbing him of his powers for even a short while was a bit frightening.

"I'll be careful." He managed to reply. Though he had the feeling that if the mage before him and all of the others couldn't figure out a way home, he stood very little chance of finding a way himself.

"Thank you for the warning."

Merlin nodded. "You're welcome. All here can contribute to people eventually getting out." He grinned then., "Or to taking the place and letting others stay."

As they talked, he paused. "One thing of significance you should know. This place brings people from all times and places, even those who are in our personal times, dead."
