Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!
3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Finn | Star Wars | 1 | Spoilers for Star Wars VII
... with a groan, he tried to move, and screamed as pain ripped through him, centered in his back. He collapsed to the floor, and panted there, hearing voices near, and yet so far away. Where was he? Where was Rey?
What had happened while he was out? He had to get up, he had to!
With a groan and a cry that was ripped from between clenched lips and teeth, he forced himself to his knees, then staggered to his feet, swaying. He looked around as he staggered toward a wall, and realized he was on some kind of flying platform. Maybe an assault vessel of some kind? But one that seemed to hold a few other people, and headed toward...
He gaped as he looked ahead, hanging onto the wall to keep himself upright. Were those islands? Floating in the sky? He'd never seen tech quite like that! He couldn't wait to take a look. Maybe they needed a soldier?
As the boat docked, he slowly staggered off of it, taking the items thrust at him numbly, not hearing the explanation given. Fumblingly, he put the things in his belt pouches and sagged against a building, and looked around.
How had he gotten here? And where was here?
And where was Rey?
(ooc: Finn has bad burns to his back, where his jacket has been laid open by a lightsaber strike, and the wound, while cauterized, has done massive trauma and shock to his system. And looks pretty bad, to boot.)
/grabby hands
That's when he sees an arrival he knows. He pushes his way through the crowds until he reaches Finn, where he stands, bouncing on the balls of his feet. He gives him a look over, concerned. He's obviously seen better days.
"Let me guess. Kylo Ren?"
Re: /grabby hands
Only his concern for Rey kept him on his feet. "Where are we? How did we get here? Is this a new Resistance base?"

"She's okay... but Ren is here? Why? What is going on?"
He swayed, and thought better of staying upright, nearly falling to his knees, then to his butt, stabilized only by Poe. "Where are we?" He was confused and with Rey safe, his energy suddenly seemed far away, very far away.
Lightsaber wounds sucked.

"You look like crap." Given he's cranky over not seeing anyone he actually wants to see, he doesn't feel like being diplomatic.
no subject
He looked around, sagging more against the wall. "Where am I? Where's Rey? Did Ren get her?" Panic entered his tone as he forced himself up with a cry of pain.
"What's going on?"
no subject
"Take it easy there, champ," he advises. "You are decidedly not where you're from in terms of universe, never mind galaxy, anymore. On that note, I'm not familiar with either of those names."
no subject
Finn now had no idea what to think. How could he be outside the universe? Why would he be outside the universe.
"UHm, what about Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, General Organa, or Poe Dameron?" Maybe someone else was here who could give him answers. Who could explain this!
no subject
Just in case this guy was from a different point in time.
no subject
He stared at the man.
"He's what? How... but... my head hurts." A pause. "MY everything hurts." How could Skywalker be that young? That made no sense at all!
Finn sagged against his wall more, groaning a little.
no subject
A half-assed offer to fix Finn up? Maybe.
no subject
"I don't care if I'm hurt, if you can help me find Rey. As long as she's okay, everything's fine." Okay, not fine, because he hurt bad, and he knew it, but... Rey was what mattered to him.
no subject
He pauses for a moment. "Of course, there's a potential faster way of looking for her than running around everywhere."
no subject
He perked up a little, curious.
"Oh? What's that?"
no subject
"As for getting in touch with her... By using the phone I know they gave you to leave a message for her on the network," Gabriel points out. "If she's here and checks it on a regular basis, she'll see it. And if not her, maybe someone else you know."
no subject
Finn nodded. "Worth a try. Thank you." If he could figure out how to do it, what a network was, and how to make a message that Rey would get, but agents of the First Order would not. He had a headache, just thinking about it.
no subject
"All fixed," Gabriel announces, withdrawing his hand. "And yeah, basically. It should be easy enough for you to figure out with some fiddling around. Phone is short for telephone; they're what people use for communication where I'm from; although more often than not, they don't tend to have a video function."
no subject
He stared at the man, but how could... "Are you a Jedi?" Because what else could the being be?
He listened more carefully, his head clear, and his mind focused, and felt like he had not in a long time. Wow.
"I... I will figure it out. Thank you." He breathed out, then smiled. "I don't know how you did that, but thank you." He extended a hand to the other.

Finn had the vaguest sense he had heard the term before. But he didn't know where. Or how.
"So what do... we do here? And flying islands? For real?" Finn, now thinking, was feeling overwhelmed.
no subject
Right, moving on before this guy could flail too much. "Flying islands for real, yep. You'll get used to it. As for what we do, it's whatever we're inclined to. Unless trouble shows up, at which point, those of us up to it will deal with it."
no subject
"Okay." he nodded, and blew out a long breath of air. "Okay. I guess I'll figure out this phone thing and try to... figure out what this means to me." He was confused still, but felt less shaky.
"Thank you."
no subject
"Anyway, you should probably figure out your phone and find wherever it says you're staying."
