Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!
3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
haon the islands with the bright blue hair, though for once the metal gauntlets will look less questionable. At least she's covered, though a bikini top and shorts may not constitute much of that. Oops?"Whatcha need?"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Some sort of ... warrior Dothkari woman?
"Well now that I have ... viewed you in closer proximity, it seems your attributes give you away as a lady, my lady." He stated dryly, "I am wondering what manner of place this was."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
And then that question; she wasn't new, but it wasn't easy to answer. Still. "Well. It's called Medietas, and it's an archipelago, but...floating. High enough that jumping off the edge of the islands would be not good. As to much past that...it's basically like any other city. This is Aerilon, the one with the shops."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
He frowns then, sounding out the name of the island, before he nods at the architectural terminology and then - "I see ... how precisely does it float? And why?"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Noriko shrugged at the questions. "Not a damn clue. I was asleep in a hospital containment room and woke up on a boat docking here, so as far as I'm concerned there's a possibility this could all be a really fucked-up hallucination." Substance-induced psychosis is a thing! And she's not sure whether she likes that idea better or worse than the notion that she's actually stuck on a floating bunch of rocks with literally no one familiar to her.
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
He sighed, rubbing one hand through his bright golden curls. "I see. Is there a library here, with more information?"
He could not work like this - he needed context, background, something he could set his feet on and walk towards.
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
She's much more fond of facts, numbers and physics and laws that can't be bent or disregarded. "Would you like me to walk you to it, or are you feeling froggy?"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"I am not ... froggy, but I am Tyrion Lannister. Would you be so kind as to escort me there?"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"Froggy is an expression, not a name, but it's nice to meet you, Tyrion Lannister. I'm Nori, short for Ashida Noriko." And she gestures him ahead of her, so sure, she's willing to walk just about anywhere.
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"Interesting -- what does 'froggy' mean, Nori?" Ashida Noriko - so her last name was in front of her first name. He would ask why in a moment.
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Americans, what can she say. (Not that her own country's sayings made any more sense.)
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"I have no idea who or what the Cranognan children are, but they sound interesting. Are they literal children?"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"They are literal children, born of the Cranognan men, our swamp people. They live towards the North, wilding children who keep to our old ways."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Two could definitely play at that game and it'd been a while since Noriko had the opportunity to be not only mouthy but teasing, because her brand of teasing--this--wasn't usually received well outside people who knew her, and she was not at that stage with anyone here yet. "Oh," Nori said. "Rednecks. Okay. Gotcha."
Ask her what she knows about them sometime. She could tell you stories that'd make sailors blush. "Kids aren't usually that hard to deal with, though."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Well, Nori, you were in luck. You had fallen in with the most teasing fellow in all of Westeros. He frowned though, before shrugging, "Rednecks is a bit odd, but certainly."
"Depends on the children." This he knew personally.
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
She huffed. "Redneck is what we can swamp people and their kin in my world. So named because they're usually too stupid to do much other than field labor, hence sunburns on the back of the neck. They're generally not fun people; what they lack in intelligence they make up for in rabid dislike of people who look different." Like her, even before the blue hair.
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Aaaaahhh. "Then no, they are not like that. They are more intelligent than most, and great fighters besides. I would never insult them by calling them 'rednecks'."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
At the mention of their intelligence, Nori lifts a brow. "Well, they sound like they could either be incredible friends, or the worst enemies you'll ever have." Not unlike the people she was thinking off, oddly. "Do you not insult many people, then?"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
He thinks about the reports he had of House Reed terrifying other Houses all along the North. "I would say ... yes." Now, he laughs. "It really just depends on the day - and my mood. Sometimes I go out of my way to insult people as best I can."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
As to that smiling comment she looks down at him with an expectant look. "Well if that's you offering to whip it out in public, don't let me stop you. I'm sure someone would get a kick out of it." Noriko likes that laugh he has, and finds herself amused about it. "Good, I'd hate to be insulted badly. I like some creativity if people are gonna give me shit."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"I never whip my cock out in public unless I am going to use it. Otherwise it gets excited for no reason whatsoever, and I don't like to tease the poor thing." He stated smoothly, before he smirked back up at her. "Oh trust me, my insults will vary, and dance upon your ears with tiny daggered wings."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
All for the better. At his teasing about the aforementioned poor thing, though, she was expecting an entirely different answer, and her glance at him is sharper, more perceptive if anything, though it's also a little more luminous. She's known guys for whom blue balls were not an option. "Man, you know how to make a girl feel so special."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Now he laughed again, before he looked up at her, "One has to be given the opportunity to do so first, I've found. Whipping one's cock out for a lady's approval never seems to have the right effect in these cases."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
She rubbed a hand over the back of her neck at that, pretending to be thoughtful. "I wouldn't worry, you'll probably get another chance. Some of us are easy."
