Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!
3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Getting started.
"Hello, my Lady," he greets her with a friendly smile as he falls into step beside her. "I take it you arrived on one of the boats from today and are giving some of the modern things around here a look?"
Re: Getting started.
Even so, she was started seeing the stranger walk besides her. She'd never been all that great around strange men, but, atleast she was properly dressed and not in just a nightdress, that was something she could feel better about. "Modern?" She repeated the word, her german accent especially thick. "I am, giving things a look around here."
Her words are slow, careful. English was still a language she was learning, and clearly this man spoke english, but doing so when she was nervous was always tricky.

He quiets down after that, aware she'll need a moment to absorb that shock.

"Yes, please, this makes it much easier." She switched to german, glad to be able to speak it again after having to switch to English and then relying on translators. Every on the court was impressed at how quick she was able to learn english, but it was such a relief to be able to speak her native language again.
Yet, what he told her started to sink in. "Two..two thousand years?"
How was that possible?

So there's the small consolation of someone being further out of his depth than she is.
Gabriel exhales a breath as he thinks about how to explain things further. "There's obviously magic involved in the place since islands don't just float in mid-air on their own. Same with ships that look like they belong on water. We don't entirely know why we're here and the locals aren't really any more knowledgeable about it than we are."

"Magic..." She didn't like to think herself superstitious, but this..all of this couldn't be anything but magic. "And no one knows why or how we got here?"
For what purpose, and why her? She was divorced from the king and she wasn't sure anyone would wish for her brother's influence if they controlled magic.

"The how, no. The why..." Gabriel bobs his head more uncertainly. "For some of us it's obvious, given the attack of monster rabbits. Quite a few of us got involved in the fighting. Gave a lot of people a way to let out frustration at being grabbed from home and needing to resettle. I mostly stayed somewhere high up and picked off those who looked like they were giving people I know too many problems. Others are more suited to patching people up after, others more towards helping run things in various places. Or other tasks."

She shook her head. "Forgive me, sir, this is a lot to take in." And here she thought the worst was having to get used to being the 'ex wife' of King Henry.
