Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, Eurus, and now Nidus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your home world to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Trouble!: All is quiet and calm when suddenly the warning signals across each of the islands sound. Not long after, or, at least only long enough to get prepared, a large hydra creature crawling out of the lake on Imber. Do what you can to help remove this threat before it gets to any of the other islands!

5. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

[Right. Okay. Kimberly Hart. Andros was pretty sure the last Kimberly Hart he met looked different. At least this one new how technology functioned. His first experience with Kim involved her trying to contact Zordon on her communicator and broadcasting it to the entire network via her comm device. He already had more respect for you.]

[Andros wanted to press fingers to the bridge of his nose and just sigh. How many different Ranger universes were there? He'd already met Dillon(who did not like), and he was wasn't from Andros' universe either. What with the whole apocalypse and no ranger thing. Made it kind of obvious. He was broadcasting from the bridge of the Megaship]

Andros here. We've actually already met. Or, I met a version of you. Here's what's I can tell you. I'm not sure what planet we're on, I'm not even sure what dimension we're on. The locals as you've already found out, are not very helpful.

[He had tried asking nicely. Then he had tried more subtle methods. Astronema tried threatening them at the end of her staff. Neither had worked well.]

There's some kind of security system around the islands. Poke around it or get too close and it will kill you.
[Andros held the record for the quickest death since arriving on the islands.]

Also, don't bother trying to contact Zordon. It won't work.

[That was another conversation he never got to have with the other Kim and Billy. And it was one he really, really didn't want to have with her either.]

[She, thankfully, comes from a time of smartphones and bluetooth. And she's pretty sure it's when they're morphed that they have any kind of link to Zordon and the ship, that's the only time they've heard him outside of their visits to the control room. And he yelled at them.]

Andros. Okay, cool- other planets, that's closer to my level. As much as high school can prepare you for. Other dimensions? Not so much. That's some sci-fi bull.

[At least the spaceship thing won't phase her much. She and her friends had found one. And got super powers. Kind of.]

Death, great. Because there wasn't enough of that- [WAIT]

[Oh look, Andros can still lead and be a not crap red ranger]

Besides, you're still a ranger. No matter if your team isn't here, you're part of a family now.

[That was helpful Kim. It bought you more respect when you looked like you knew what you were doing.]

I guess you haven't checked out the rainbow bridges then? Yeah, they're solid. I'm pretty familiar with a lot of different planets and none of them had solid rainbow bridges.[and physics. He was kind of hung up on that one. And the whole floating islands thing. Someone needed to clue him in on Animaria because he was pretty upset about that one too.]

Yeah, I knew Zordon. [Damn, did he just use the past tense there? Maybe she didn't notice. Maybe he could back track] Earth isn't the only planet with Rangers.

No, I'm still- uh, still getting used to this. This might take awhile. I didn't even know about aliens before a couple weeks ago. I mean, technically, yeah, I did but it was all fantasy, yanno?

[And then she and the gang found some coins in a glass wall in a mine. And then a prheistoric ship buried underground. And a little robot that could kick their asses.]

Seriously? [Okay right.] I suppose I could have guessed. Zordon, and probably the rest of his team, weren't from Earth.

[No, he didn't kind of know, Kim. But he could guess based on the excited 'omg your from outer space' talk he got from his team and how they'd stare out the windows in awe.]

Not really. But I think I can guess. It's not easy to find something out that shatters your world. [That he did know something about]

[Now it was Andros' turn to be confused.] Zordon had a team? [Now that he thought about it, it actually made some kind of sense. He knew he'd fought Rita before she trapped him, but Zordon was always busy with his earth rangers. And he wasn't exactly the type to talk about his past.]

[Shattering her world, that's a good way to put it actually. And right now, as much as she talked crap on Angel Grove, she wouldn't mind being back on Earth and in her little town.]

'Course he did. Jason has his old coin, kind of weird thinking about how old these things are. [She pulls the gold coin out of her pocket, bushing a finger over if where rock and dirt used to cover the gold edges.] He probably would have been useless on Earth alone, even with Alpha tagging along.

[If it was one thing Andros had learned, it was to treasure moments, everything you know could change in an instant and nothing would be the same. He wouldn't even mind being back in Angel Grove either. He might not even mind the hero worshiping stares he and the other rangers got. Let that be a lesson to you Kim. Zordon's rules are there for a reason. Earth wasn't ready]

[He stared at the coin she brought out, so different than the ones he'd seen from the other Kim and Billy. Hers looked older, more alien. More primal.]

We shouldn't be talking here. This isn't secure. I'll send you directions to my ship. It's on another island.

[She could agree that it wasn't and not even from experience. Billy had gotten so excited at the concept of being super heroes, she'd seen a couple of superhero movies when she'd bee dating Ty (and zoned out) so the possibility of life getting more difficult by revealing who they were, she could only imagine how it would go.

Though it might get them out of detention.]

You have a ship too? [she shoves her coin back into her pocket and crosses her arms, quiet for a moment and the nodding.] Sure, okay. Where am I going?

[It wasn't a secret here, at least for Andros and Ashley. They both didn't see the point, and while Ashley hadn't reached 'shout it from the rooftop' levels, Andros just didn't care. He didn't see a reason to keep his identity secret. But he knew that a lot of other teams didn't see it that way.]

Nidus. My ship's the blue one, it's on the south eastern side of the island, you can't miss it. There's a bunch of other ship's in the area. I'll meet you outside.

[It might get them out of detention, that's for sure. Or, if they were really unlucky, they might get mobbed for destroying public property. As if they could control where the zord fell.]

Is that how that works? I don't know. See, I always thought that there would be more loops in it than that. Like what if different teams but same colors? Green meet green? That's weird.

Also do you have those explosions behind you too? I'm still really curious about that.

[Ziggy finds himself inside and eating before he realizes that he's crashing the party. Oh well, the food is delicious. His eyes move across the room, landing on Kimberly. His jaw slackens and he stares at her.]

Wow, you look. Wow.

[He's usually a lot more articulant than this... sometimes.]

[swiftlet]

"Better than it was," Swift sighed. He loved Forever, but Terzian hadn't exactly been a builder. Or even a sympathetic ruler. "There's still a lot of work to do, but we're doing our best." They'd improved, and they still were. People lived better than they had been. He had to keep thinking of what they'd accomplished or he'd get lost in the sheer amount of work left.

"What about you? I haven't been where you were. What is it like there?"

[blindpuppet]

Enis didn't have an answer to Swifts question. "It was a small town." A place where her father could work without interruption or detection. It was a place he used as a hiding place.

"I wasn't allowed outside after I got to middle school. I was home schooled."

[swiftlet]

"That sounds awful." But really, hadn't he been raised essentially the same way? Except that he at least got to see the sky every now and then. But he also thought that a lot of things about her life sounded awful.

"What was that like, then? Did you like it?" He doubted that she did, but that was rude to point out.

[blindpuppet]

Enis dropped her eyes. She didn't show much emotion but Swift asked questions that she didn't have the answer too.

"I don't know. I don't know anything about myself." She wasn't sure what she liked.

[swiftlet]

That was slightly frustrating, but more at the people who'd raised her than at her. How was that even possible?

"Maybe you could learn here. You have to find something. You can't live with yourself for years without knowing."

[blindpuppet]

"I know computers." It was one of the few things she knew. Her father had a PHD in Bio-mechanics among other disciplines. From him, Enis had learned the basic of engineering and computers. She'd been trained to hack into anything in front of her.

"I don't know if I like them." Or what that felt like.

[swiftlet]

"Computers?" He'd never seen one. He didn't even know much about them beyond that they were something humans had before the world ended. Or maybe they still did. He didn't know.

"Maybe try something different and see what happens? Sometime you have to find something you hate to know what you like."

[blindpuppet]

"Like what?" She needed examples. If she'd had access to the internet she would have looked it up herself, however she had no such luck.

[Andros laughed. Be grateful Ziggy, he didn't do it that often.]

Actually most colors tend to get along. Before I got here I was helping out another team of Rangers. I got along with their red just fine.

[That teamup hadn't ended well, but at least they all left on good terms, wishing they could help their counterparts more. As for Ziggy, he was a little new wasn't he? It would be almost cute if it wasn't so dangerous]

And yes, the explosions happen. Not often, but they do. Usually when there's a lot of rangers in one place. That much concentrated energy has to go somewhere.

"Anything." Trying to think of things, though, would be difficult. There were too many and just thinking about it was enough to make him hesitate before he started. "Music, dancing, art, reading, whatever you can think of."

[He pauses.]

Wait, you've met a lot of other rangers. Should I call you red leader mark 2 or something?

[blindpuppet]

"Music. Dancing. Art. Reading." She recited the list back to him and then nodded her head in a decisive motion.

"I will start there." Music was the first on her list. She quickly searched through her records of the map that lay safely in her head. Her bright blue eyes momentarily flashed yellow before she spoke again. "There is a music store nearby."

He hadn't exactly meant it as a literal list, but at least it was a place to start. Maybe she'd find something she liked better after working her way through it.

He still wasn't certain what to make of her eyes changing color. Cobweb's did too, sometimes--bright green when he was happiest, black when he was angry or upset--but it wasn't quite the same. He'd thought it was part of his magic, but maybe it was just part of him. Hers seemed far more magical.

"Alright. You can start there. Do you want me to come with you?"
