Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, Eurus, and now Nidus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your home world to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Trouble!: All is quiet and calm when suddenly the warning signals across each of the islands sound. Not long after, or, at least only long enough to get prepared, a large hydra creature crawling out of the lake on Imber. Do what you can to help remove this threat before it gets to any of the other islands!

5. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Enis answered him candidly. "No." She knew that she was odd. She had no memories of her childhood or her friends. She was sure that she had friends at one point though it was only a fleeting thought.

"I don't know what I am." She couldn't access that data.

[swiftlet]

That was surprising, and Swift didn't even bother to keep that off of his face. How was that even possible?

"How can you not know what you are?" Did something go wrong, maybe? He didn't know what humans went through. That hadn't been deemed an important part of his education since he'd never been human.

Enis was a special case and she knew it. "My parents were human. I've been tested on since I was young. I don't know what's inside me or what I am." She had some parts that made her human, she looked human, but there was DNA inside of her that was constantly trying to change her.

She didn't know what was happening to her.

"I am not normal."

[swiftlet]

Tested on...just hearing that made him sick. Knowing the things his father and Ponclast had done to humans... Those were images and memories that he would never be rid of. He still had nightmares sometimes.

"I'm sorry. That sounds..." Awful barely even scratched the surface. Had she been har he would have reached out to her, but he didn't know how well she would react. Even so, his arm made an aborted half-movement that way before he could stop himself.

"I'm sorry."

Enis watched his arm wearily. She didn't have a problem with touching however she knew that the chip inside of her head might react to anything it sees as danger. She didn't want it to turn on now.

It was difficult to control.

"I didn't tell you for sympathy." She didn't need apologies.

[swiftlet]

"So? That doesn't mean it's not the decent thing for people to do." He couldn't even imagine being so cold and uncaring. Especially after the horrific "experiments" he'd been witness too. Or, at least, their aftermath.

But now he was beginning to see the need for her disclaimer or not being polite.

"I won't apologize for it. You're entitled to your own feelings, of course, but I'm allowed mine, too."

"If you insist." She didn't care if he had feelings. Others were supposed to have feelings. Emotion's were a disease for Enis, she wouldn't be able to fulfill her final task if she let herself feel.

"I don't have any comparison when it comes to decent behavior." There are rules, social implications but these are all foreign to Enis.

[swiftlet]

He bit back a sigh and even managed not to close his eyes again in annoyance, but really, was this any worse than the hara he dealt with on a daily basis already? He was used to rudeness. But that didn't mean he didn't get headaches.

"Trust me, it is. Particularly when it involves experiments and 'testing' on people."

Enis only knew the small amount of information that she'd been allowed to remember. It didn't do well for interacting with others but she was determined to try, if only to meet her end goal.

Deep stormy blue eyes locked on Swift as she spoke and for the first time, her uncertainty filled the vast majority of her tone. "Would you be able to teach me. What's normal and decent?" Enis knew that logically, she wouldn't get very far if she was constantly making enemies.

I've been a ranger for years. Trust me when I say that's not going to work. It's going to get you hurt. Or bring down the team. And that will get them hurt.

He actually smiled at the question, half relieved and half surprised. He certainly hadn't expected that kind of a reaction. If he were anyhar else he might have refused, but he'd always been too nice.

"I'd be glad to." Granted he might have to do a little more research on human interactions since hara were very different in some things, but most of it was the same at least. It was a starting point, if nothing else.

Swift knew more about humans than Enis did, despite the fact that both of her parents had been human. Her father, she would describe as a monster, there was nothing human left in him.

She nodded her head however she had no idea where to start and ended up staring at Swift for longer than was necessary.

"Yes. It was a good way for the crew to let off some steam. Once a week we'd take over the mess, watch a movie and eat popcorn." That was how he'd explain it to anyone from home. He didn't know if Padmé knew what a movie was. Or popcorn.

"Well..." He couldn't help but feel a little awkward being stared at, but he tried to ignore it for the most part. He paused for a moment to think, crossing his arms over his chest once again.

"You seem to be alright with introductions. I'm not really sure how to go about this." Hm. "How about we keep talking for a while and I'll let you know if you should try something differently? What's your home like? I assume it isn't this place."

"I grew up in Illinois." She didn't know very much about the state because she went from private school to home school. "My mother passed away when I was very young. My father was a scientist. I didn't go out." She didn't want to say that her father erased her memories of her childhood.

[swiftlet]

He had to think for a moment of the old words for places. Illinois...that was in Megalithica, right? Or it used to be. Whatever it was called before. He couldn't remember.

"That sounds very sad." How much was he going to share about his family now? Did he confess what Terzian had done?

"I grew up in..." what had the humans called it again? "...Kansas. I guess I didn't go out either."

[GETTING STARTED/SHOPPING]

[This is where she's going to be living? Okay, she's seen worse, and this is actually pretty decent for a high school kid on her own. That's exactly the problem though, she's a teenager. On her own. For one, most people wouldn't trust anyone her age on their own. She can handle it, but it's probably not smart.

She can do what she wants with it at least. And they seemed to have given her money to burn for now. Probably because she woke up somewhere that definitely wasn't Angel Grove. And she doesn't seem to need clothes. Yet. The ones already in her closet are basically right, a few pieces of pink too many for her but she does have a tie to pink now.

Still weird, she can practically feel the coin grow heavier. She knows it's not possible though.

So, shopping. She can probably find some easy food to cook and shit, maybe she'll spot a few cute pieces of clothes to make her feel better about this.]

[ Somehow, she's managed to find a decent cocktail dress before the party. It was a little too frilly for her taste but it didn't look too bad on her and that was what mattered right now.]

[Kim looks a little annoyed but she's settled in her townhouse for now.]

Okay so, Kimberly Hart. Nice to meet you. [She wastes no time.] Can someone tell me what the hell's going on here? The guy on the boat was crazy vague- also boat? That kind of screams human trafficking where I come from, especially when you just wake up on one. Plus, kind of tired of boats already.

Also, I'm supposed to be in detention every Saturday. Kind of killing my senior year, here.

"It isn't sad." She corrected in an even tone. "You can't miss someone that you've never met. It's just a fact." Her life had been build and sculpted by facts. It put a distance between her and the things around her and it was only with that distance that Enis thrived.

"Is your home like this place?"

[swiftlet]

"Of course you can." Feelings didn't have to be logical and, really, they seldom were. Trying to explain that, though, was difficult, and the words kept running away. So he didn't bother and instead answered her question, as honestly as he could.

"No. But I hope it is someday." Only with fewer abductions. And maybe not floating in the sky.

Enis regarded Swift seriously before turning towards their surroundings. There was so much that she didn't understand and she knew that she might never understand. It didn't matter in the end but she felt a pang in her chest at the loss.
