Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!
You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!
2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!
3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right?
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

He moved his hand to his chest and inclined his head as though in greeting. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am called Balthier, and I've recently found myself making port in this most curious of worlds. And you are?"
no subject
"You are a traveler." Her eyes rose to meet his. "What makes you travel?"
It felt like such a simple question but Marie had a feeling that he'd ignore it, just as he had with the question of his age.

He rolled his shoulder in a shrug at her question. "I go where the wind blows. It took to the skies seeking freedom. They have yet to disappoint."
no subject
"And if the sky is taken away from you?" Her eyes watched him, the dark color deepening as she waited for his answer. They appeared to be stuck here, there were airships but they traveled between the islands and it seemed like there was little else.
What would he do? What should she do? Maire hoped to find her answer in his.

"Then I'll take it back, and it'll be mine." It wasn't as easy as all that, he knew. Without Fran's intuition, he'd have a lot of guess-work in his future. Not a happy start to things, but it was what he had to work with, and he would simply have to assure it was enough.
"What else does one do when they've been robbed? Either they find someone to do something about it, or they take matters into their own hands." He straightened the cuffs of his shirt as though that motion accentuated his worlds. "The former usually involves a great deal of paperwork. Much more efficient to cut out the middle man, wouldn't you say?"
no subject
"Most of the world is a middle man." It was just an observation, something she’d noticed growing up in that house hold. There were levels and systems and everyone reported to everyone else with work being passed down and information being passed up.
Other than that Marie didn’t have much of an opinion. She couldn’t afford one before now and she was still adjusting to the flimsy idea of freedom that was presented to her when she stepped off the boat. Her path had always been set for her, she’d lived for others, now she had to find another reason or be swept beneath the harsh currents of the sea.

"Exactly." His eyes glanced toward the ceiling, but more accurately toward the heavens and the skies to be found there. "Sky pirates don't believe in that middle man."

Balthier was much smarter than he let on though that wasn't something Marie was going to comment on. It was her own private assessment of him and like the tides it would ebb and flow.
Marie knew, as she learned more, that her views would change.

He made it sound so easy.

She turned to look over at him, her expression stoic; she didn't get the joke but she was fine with that. Her gaze then turned back to her drink which was mostly gone. She felt the affects of the alcohol and she didn't think it was a good idea to take that last sip. She pulled some money from her pocket and placed it down before standing.
"Thank you for speaking with me. I'll see you again Balthier."

"Don't hesitate to come back around. You'll find me at some similar venue or other."
