Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!
You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!
2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!
3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right?
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Sitting up he rubbed at his eyes, his long blonde hair falling in his face.
"Huh?" The soft noise came, his voice didn't match his features. His gender unclear upon sight, but his voice deeper than one would expect without being a bass or deep baritone. Hearing the commotion, Kelsey pushed himself up, the house coat he wore over silk pajamas drug the ground as he moved past the men elegantly coming down on a knee he held a hand out. "Come now, you can't stay there, they will force you away. Let me help you."

Her limbs were tired and sore and her back continued to feel as if pinpricks covered the fresh and old wounds. There was more that she wasn't saying, not because she can't, but she lost the words to speak.
Marie had been locked up. She can't move until they come and get her. The collar was still in place, her shoes were missing; so she had to wait or she'd get in trouble.
no subject
"Why is that?" He asked, these rare moments of clarity were moments he cherished. When he could speak to people and not feel like everyone was watching him. "Come come, walk with me. There is a world to explore besides this old yacht." It definitely wasn't a yacht.
He shifted forward so his chest was against his knees and held a hand out. "My name is Kelsey."

Her fingers were small and thin. He'd feel a scar across her palm, one that perfectly bisected her hand. She had very little strength as she rose and she tensed when she felt the sharp pain in her back. Marie felt the pressure of the collar around her neck and she was very aware that her full name was written on it as well as a phone number. She wasn't wearing shoes and the rest of her limbs looked just as thin as her fingers. It was clear she might not be eating enough and Kel might notice the crimson stain that had absorbed into the back of her perfectly white dress.
"Anne-Marie." When she introduced herself her eyes were locked on the ground and a calm mask pulled over her features.
no subject
Unlike most men his size he didn't just pull her up, he wasn't that strong. "No reason to be scared." He repeated softly. He didn't know anything better to say, but his instincts said to help her. His eyes noticed the red streaking white. He knew blood he knew it well enough.
"A pleasure, Miss Anne-Marie. I have a sister named Maria." He offered with a soft smile.
no subject
She realized that he expected her to say something more. "Thank you." Her voice was soft and respectful.
She then steeled herself, leaving her hand in his until he released it. "Is your sister here too?" Marie has yet to determine where he was.
no subject
"You are very welcome, Anne-Marie. Come on out and stand up, please. I have trouble with one of my knees. Staying knelled hurts after a little while."
When she asked the question he shook his head slowly. "Maria is in school, and I do not know where we are... I have been on this boat since I awoke. I just heard the noise and came to see what was happening."
no subject
She swallowed and nodded her head. Marie rose slowly, her limbs feeling stiff and sore while her back continued to ach. She was used to pain but it was never a comfortable feeling. She stepped forward slowly, allowing Kelsey the ability to set the pace for them.
Marie stood eight inches shorter than Kel as they moved away from her corner. The men on the boat watched them and a few grumbled silent thank yous towards Kelsey. They looked away from Marie, as if they weren't sure what to think of the red headed girl.

He never liked people apologing for things about of their control. He had to apologize so much to his father for his own problems that he hated people feeling they needed to for him.
He offered her his arm before seeing the blood of her back, they needed to put something on her. So people wouldn't stare and upset her more. Instead he offered his arm as any gentlemen would. His eyes going to those watching them, the men of the ships. "..." He heard more than just the quiet grumbles of thank yous, he was hearing a lot more and it made him wince. "Your welcome." It sounded strained, but he started to lead them off the ship to get away from the noise. "...Their so loud." he muttered low.
no subject
There really was nothing she could do.
She took his arm, lightly placing her palm on his bicep. She kept her thin frame close to his side as if he was the only guard against the busy world around them. She didn't know what the men on the boat were thinking and she found that she didn't care. What she knew about human nature was dark, unkind and unforgiving.
Her eyes glanced up at him before quickly looking away. She always felt uncomfortable meeting someone's gaze. "Loud?" She asked in a very small voice and as the word slipped away from her she regretted asking it. She didn't know if he'd answer her or if she'd be yelled at for inquiring.
no subject
"You don't hear them? They were saying such loud cruel things..." He answered looking a little worried but kept his hand on his temple as a woman approached with maps, and the devices.
He lowered his hand, as the woman held both to him, and the woman beside her to Marie the same. "Welcome." A little explanation of being chosen given by the woman as the artist looked confused.
no subject
She had no way to articulate a response to him. She didn't know what to say. She had no judgement and her very little opinion. All she had were the small threads of her thoughts, random facts of things she's been taught or things she's overheard. There was a saying 'walls talked' and her hearing was a little bit better than those who kept her. She's learned a lot by listening but she hasn't learned how to speak.
"I don't." Marie's voice was softer as the woman stepped closer. She took the items obediently and since she had no pockets she held them in her hands. Marie didn't look up at the woman but waited for her to leave before looking down to the phone and map in her free hand.
This certainly was an odd place or position and it hasn't even occurred to her that she might be free.
no subject
Kelsey nodded listening to the woman explain. "We can't go home?" he repeated the words, a little worried he furrowed his brows. Looking over the device. It reminded him of the iPhone stuck in his pocket of his house coat.
"...We apparently have housing...." He muttered softly. "...Louise is going to pull my hair again." he muttered low with a worried heavy sigh. "How do you explain this..."
no subject
'Let's go. Please. Please. Where there is less people. I can't... Please.' Her cries were silent and her expression unchanged but she hoped that he might hear her. She didn't know about his world or who he was talking about but this didn't feel like the place to talk about it.
'walls talked' The words felt like they were haunting her.
Marie forced herself to relax. That was how she handled the pain over the years. She detached from her body and watched it as if every feeling and touch was happening to someone else. Soft touches were just as painful as harsh ones. There were imagines moving through Marie's thoughts as she felt her panic rise. She didn't trust Kelsey but he'd showed her kindness. That kindness has backfired before but she had no one else to turn to, no other stranger offering a hand.

He didn't know why but he thought of his long dead sister, Ashley's body laid on the drive the same crimson staining another white dress and staining nearly white, blonde hair. A tug at his heart he lead them on despite his lack of shoes. He worried another attack was coming, it had been so long since he had been in such a crowded street.
no subject
She stayed close to his side feeling the grip on her phone relax. She could feel the stars of others as they moved through the streets. Marie didn't know why they were staring and she didn't stop to think about it.
Sans her thoughts, Marie walked silently, her eyes trained downward. She didn't know where they were headed and she didn't care. As long as they could get away from the pressing crowd.

He figured she was scared and though none had ever seemed to feel safe around him he felt the strange need to make sure his fellow prisoner was okay.

If he was able to hear her thoughts, perhaps he'd be comforted as well. Love, lust, power and stress were never things that Marie lingered on. Her life was how it was and she's accepted that it won't change.

""Promises of what I seemed to be, only watched the time go by, all of these things you said to me..." He sang low as he walked along with her, he seemed to focus as his voice came out low, the song pushing the voices away. He's spent his life finding ways of working with it. This was one of them.
The wind picked up, catching his almost silvery blonde locks and whipping them around.

She continued to try and keep her thoughts quiet but she was struck by an idea when she softly heard him sing. Her eyes lowered to the road and she listened to his song, not knowing it, she began to pick up the tune and then hum along. Her voice was sweet, clear and beautiful as she hummed and that same voice filled her thoughts. It might be something small but if he was singing then it was most likely for a reason. A way to ease his troubled thoughts.
Her arms wrapped around her torso as the wind gathered around them. She felt cold though it wasn't the worst feeling that she's ever felt.

Kelsey sang along with her humming, she was clearly good, and he almost thought she knew the song. He had loved it so long, accidentally sending her an image, two blonde children, they looked exactly the same both dressed in pristine white, one in a suit one in a dress, The one in the dress was holding a hairbrush as the other was leaned close both belting the same song he was singing now. The two had a happy air about themselves as they sang into the brush.
The wind seemed to pull him back from the thought.
"leavin' on a southern train only yesterday you lied, promises of what I seemed to be only watched the time go by, all of these things I said to you."
As he finished he looked up at the houses of Imber less people around he seemed less on edge. Pulling the robe more around him because of the wind. "Its beautiful, like San Francisco."
no subject
As the song came to an end she realized they were at the row of houses. She hadn't expected it to be so soon. She blinked away the haze the song left and began walking towards the number that was marked as her new house.
"I wouldn't know." She's never been to San Francisco, She can only take his word for it.
