Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Not alone, no. Obviously. [Obviously. There'd been people on the ship and on the docks...] And this isn't the kidnapping I meant, exactly, though I'm not sure where on Earth someone could land a flying ship and be given a house? [She squints.] You're English.

[As for being valuable, the simple answer is 'yes', but she'd rather not get into specifics.]

Two kidnappings, then? Valuable, indeed.

[And his next response, while admitting to a lack of knowledge, doesn't sound confused.] I'm afraid I've not heard of this "Earth" or have an inkling as to what "English" is, though I would hazard a guess at it's being a nationality. [He shakes his head, and there is the slightest of pauses as he decides whether or not to divulge further. Ultimately, he decides if he's never heard of "English", she's probably never heard of the truth of the matter, either.] I'm Arcadian. [He moves a hand to his breast, bowing his head slightly in greeting.] I'm called Balthier.

[Not heard of Earth? English?

Either this was some very elaborate practical joke or shooting Rittenhouse had had far more serious consequences than anyone could have foreseen. Either way, the 'I don't understand' was there on the tip of her tongue, but she held it back, simply because the historian in her wanted information before she wanted to admit (further) that she didn't have any of her own to share.]

Not that valuable. [And with a small clearing of her throat:] Nice to meet you, Balthier. Is Arcadia... close?

[He flashes her a charming smile.] You hardly do yourself justice, though your mystique has intrigued me. I'll keep in mind your self-proclaimed lack of value.

[He shakes his head, that smile not fading.] I should think not, as this cluster of floating islands is no place on Ivalice I have ever seen, and I have seen much of her.

[He'd seen much of it and Lucy had never even heard of it. It didn't make her feel good about her situation, especially since she still hadn't heard from Wyatt or Rufus. That Flynn wasn't anywhere near her was a bonus, but it didn't bode well for anyone else.]

Balthier, right? [Charm doesn't do a lot for her. She's been working through a lot lately.] I appreciate the almost-compliment, but I'm really interested in learning more about this... whatever it is. Whereever it is. Or when. Have you been here long?

[askypirate]

[He inclines his head at her question in regards to his title, that charming smile never abating.] Just so, but alas, I too have just recently found myself at the airship docks. Strange, really. This place is rather similar to a city in Ivalice.

[His comparing it to his home wasn't actually helpful, but she took a breath before responding anyway.]

But you came to on the ship, right? Not knowing how you got there?

[If he did know how he got there, she was going to file a formal complaint with... whoever there was to file a complaint with.]

[He inclined his head, not seeing any reason to deny that much.]

I did, a standard passenger airship, by the look of it. Makes one wonder what they may be up to, doesn't it? All very curious.
