Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!
You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!
2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!
3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right?
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Ashley Hammond / Power Rangers
Ashley really wished this was the first time she could say she'd been abducted and woken up in a strange place. So far it's the first time that she hasn't been attacked shortly after arrival, but after a walk through her "new home" and a look at the phone she'd been given, to say she was expecting it wouldn't be unreasonable. It all struck her as a little uncannily good, and clearly Andros had rubbed off on her.
So after a little poking around in the home itself, she headed out to the streets, putting in some old-fashioned leg work. She'd seen the bike waiting outside the townhouse, but she left it alone for now. You can't talk to people if you're blowing past them on a bike and she doesn't really know where she's going right now.
3;
Parties are the natural habitat of a born Cali girl like Ashley. She was comfortable enough there, moving through groups of people, stopping to talk with those both familiar and not, a smile never leaving her face. It might not be obvious to some she was also trying to collect information on the place they were all trapped in, but then it might be more obvious to others. She might have a bubbly presence and be more than happy to listen to people talk at length, but subterfuge was a skill she's only passable at.
Re: Ashley Hammond / Power Rangers
He was wearing his ship's uniform, now that he had access to the Megaship and had more than one set of them, it tended to be his default clothing choice. And it wasn't like Andros had to blend in here.
Looking around, Andros saw a flash of yellow and a face he wasn't sure when he'd see again. "Ashley?" He called out, running toward her.
no subject
"Andros!" She was relieved to see him and redirected her course, jogging to meet him. "Thank goodness, I didn't think I'd see anyone I knew here!"
no subject
"Well, you're actually going to know at least one other person here." He wasn't entirely sure how to say it out loud. Might as well just say it. Ashley was going to find out eventually.
"Astronema's here. And no, I don't mean Karone." He'd learned the hard way she really, really hated it when he called her that. "And two of Zordon's planetary rangers. They seemed like the new each other, they must be from the same team."
no subject
"What do you mean, Astronema? You reversed the brainwashing. Did something happen?" She didn't even process the mention of other planetary rangers. For the moment, Astronema being around is probably more important.
no subject
"Not from her point of view I didn't. This, whatever this is, took her from before any of that happened. According to her, she just discovered the locket. She never defected to our side, she doesn't remember much of anything when we were children."
Andros put his hands over his face for a minute, the familiar pain, sadness and loss seeping through again. "I'm so glad you're here, Ash."
no subject
"Oh, Andros..." she replied softly, reaching up to gently take his hands in hers. "Do you want to go somewhere and talk? Or... not talk. I don't know what's been going on here, but I'd like to. My place isn't too far." She knew pushing him to talk about things he didn't want to never worked, but she was also largely in the dark here.
no subject
It was hard not to look at Astronema and not think of Karone. Who she could be. He looked at Ashley, looking down before drawing his head up to look hat her. Andros took a deep breath.
"I'd like that. I.....think I should show you something first though. Follow me." He took out his morpher, and teleported, their connection to the Megaship re-established.
no subject
The fact that they were able to teleport to the Megaship was a surprise, however. She'd followed his head, but when they landed she looked around the transport bay, a little shocked.
"The Astro Megaship is here? Why haven't you flown it away?"
no subject
He just wished it didn't have to be so close to home.
"The engine's don't work. I'm still trying to figure out why, but I don't think it's the Megaship. She's not exactly in perfect shape." Next time he saw Damon they were going to have words on what was appropriate upkeep for a museum.
"The island we're on appeared a few weeks ago, along with the Astro Megaship and other things from others homes." He looked up at Ashley, trying to suppress a laugh. "Astronema has a Quantron. It wont attack me and she's trying to teach it to do laundry and buy groceries." Andros might have to watch that Quantron next time he needed a laugh.
no subject
Ashley moved absently away from Andros, looking around like she thought she could figure out what was wrong with the ship simply by looking. Of course if he couldn't, she certainly couldn't. She turned back to look at him at the mention of Astronema's Quantron, and let out a soft laugh, shaking her head slightly.
"Really? Finally, they might be good for something."
no subject
He knew he needed to go visit her. Besides, Andros might be able to help her get released. She had attacked him after all. He really wanted to see her, but not she was still angry at him. Of course she was still angry at him. It was his sister. No matter what she called herself, she held grudges.
no subject
"Jail?" Not that she probably didn't deserve it, if she was Astronema. But the fact that he brought it up obviously meant something. She walked back over to him and reached out to rest a hand on his bicep with a gentle squeeze. "What happened here, Andros?"
no subject
"We were having an argument. I pushed her and she wasn't ready. She.....doesn't consider me family." Sadly, that was the most painful part to admit. After all they'd been through, Astronema had been taken from a time before, when she wasn't sure who she was, when the Dark Fortress was really all she knew. "She told me she Ecliptor was. I got angry. I told her he was dead. And then, she killed me."
He knew his sister was capable of murder. She'd tried to do kill him multiple times. but actual murder? When she wasn't being cybernetically controlled? All the other times it was by proxy. Death by monster wasn't the same as hitting someone with a chair until they couldn't move and then cutting someone with a piece of glass.
"She was so angry, Ashley. She just got cold. I was afraid I might hurt her if I morphed." He couldn't do that again.
no subject
The revelation that he was killed was a little startling. She'd gotten some basic information on the place they were now trapped in, but the thought that someone who was killed could still be walking around... It's hard to swallow.
"I know this might not be what you want to hear, but she probably needs time, like before. You got through to her once, I think you can again. Even if... she killed you." Astronema had likely killed before, after all.
no subject
Ashley hadn't been the only one to point out to him that he probably needed to give her some time and space. He hated it, but they were right. She needed to think, figure out who she was and what she wanted, especially here on this foreign place.
"....I know." Andros moved his thumbs against her hands, tracing gently. "I hate it, but I know." He let his forehead rest against her own.
