Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? ~~Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands~~.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Jess meanwhile felt like he fell into some weird, cracked out version of a Disney movie and was waiting for everyone to burst into song. Either that or the muffin he had earlier was moldy and he was lying on the floor somewhere hallucinating.

After getting a phone shoved in his hands (cool, free phone?) he wandered around until he saw a bookstore. Unlike Rory, Jess ended up here on purpose. When in a new city, always find the sites. The bookstores were first on that list.

He started at the other end as Rory, going through the shelves, glancing through them, grabbing one and putting another back. Unlike Rory, he wasn't as reverent, then again, she never kept a folded book in her back pocket. He didn't notice her until they actually bumped shoulders.

"Rory?"

Rory felt the bump, and did a little sashay to the side. Her mom would have created some new dance move out of it she was sure, but it caused the book she was holding to almost fall out of her hand.

"Woah, that was close," She whispered. Turning, about to lay into the idiot that made her almost damage a book, when she saw who it was.

Her eyes filled with tears, damn hormones, and she all but lunged herself at him.

"Jess! Is it really you? not some bit of underdone potato or anything like that?"

It was just a book Rory, take it easy. Not like you just almost broke one of your grandma's 5 million dollar vases or whatever. At least the books were paper. They were meant to be read. And occasionally dropped.

He gave her a big, lopsided smile. "It's me. I think. ." Jess noticed the tears welling up in her eyes. "What's with the waterworks?" He asked, taking her in his arms.

"Oh Jess," She said pulling back to look him in the eyes. Her face looked drawn and sad, but her eyes were determined. "I've made such a mess of things, even messier than my usual standards. I don't know what to do. I have no job, no home, no man, not that I need one, and...." She takes a deep breath and steps back from him just a bit.

"I'm pregnant."

Jess was pretty sure it took a man to get pregnant, but, you know, maybe he'd skipped that day in biology class.

"Huh?" He was naturally eloquent when he was surprised. His first coherent thought was that maybe a bookstore wasn't the right place for this. Or maybe, for them, it was perfect. A few seconds later he recovered.

"Okay, most of that's just not true. One." Jess counted them off on his fingers. "You have a home at Stars Hollow, it's not like your mother's going to convert your room into her sewing parlor or something. Two. You have a job. You're writing a book. Three. I'm pretty sure you didn't get there on your own. So, whose the guy? Do I know him? What about that....what was his name?"

Jess looked up at her drawn, stressed out eyes. "You okay?"

Rory snorted softly, rolling her eyes a little, but there was no heat or exaserbation in it at all, just Rory realizing that it was typical Jess. It was something that she was suddenly very grateful for.

"Logan.... his name is Logan, and I don't want to talk about him," Rory said quietly.

She shook her head because somehow she could never lie to Jess, even though she really wanted to.

"Okay isn't in my vocabulary right now. How could this happen?"

He was actually wondering about Pete, forgettable Pete. Oh, Jess remembered Logan. That guy had made a, let's call it a memorable impression on him. That was the guy was bad for Rory, just ask Jess, he'd be happy to tell share. That was the guy who didn't seem to know when he had too much to drink, cheated on Rory and was just a pompous rich asshole. He'd better not show up here. But, Jess respected Rory's request to not talk about Logan. Right now. It was going to happen. Why couldn't she see that jerk was dragging her down? He was like weak poison, Logan killed you slowly.

Jess just shrugged. "Things happen. Condoms fail. Pills fail. But that doesn't mean that you failed." Since he knew that was what she was thinking. History repeats itself. But that wasn't such a bad thing in this case, was it?
