How To Play:

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? ~~Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands~~.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Does he like it? Not especially. For one, he doesn't know what to do with that much space, either. For another, it's all kind of standard and bland. That, and given how he liked the weird arrangement they had in that tiny attic room, he's not sure where he's supposed to sleep. But it's free. He shrugs.

"Better than sleeping against a statue."

Eiji...really can't say much to that, and he's sure Ankh knows it otherwise he wouldn't have said it.

"We can make it work, right? I mean, nothing says that everything has to look like this."

That earned an amused little huff.

"Not enough brightly colored fabric for you?" Not that he doesn't have his own complaints about the place, but he can't resist the jab.

"It is a little...white."

Eiji has a style, after all. It might be every color in the rainbow at once, but it's a style.

Hit the nail on the head.

"Well, I can agree with you on that much, at least." Though if Ankh had his way, the place would get decorated with red and not so much everything else all at the same time.

"Well, we can see if there's anything in the closets. Maybe some extra sheets or something."

So a trip to the closet it is, and...

"...huh."

Well, it seems like he found something.

"What?"

"Were they...expecting us?"

He guesses this is Ankh's room, since the closet has some tight-fitting pants and shirts with red sleeves.

Curiosity piqued, he moves closer to he can look into the closet as well. And... those certainly are the types of clothes he usually wears.

"...heh. Seems like it."

"I guess mine must be in the other room."

That's...bizarrely depressing, that the powers that be didn't assume they'd be sharing a room as usual.

"Either that, or they want you to develop a sense of style."

Teasing, of course. And whoever had set all this up clearly had only paid attention to very specific preferences, considering the general state of the place and the fact that the bed in what was apparently Ankh's room was just a normal bed.

"I guess I can go look."

Of course, Eiji mostly ignores the teasing as he shuffles off to the other bedroom. The clothes there mostly look all like his usual style--loose, various colors and prints, mishmash of international styles and textiles, scarves, vests, and coats.

It's when he finds a neutral colored T-shirt, a pair of skinny jeans, and a tailored jacket that he just stops and stares for a minute. That is not normal.

For now, Ankh keeps poking around in the closet of things that seem like they should be his. Then he discovers that as he gets to the back where things hadn't been so obvious, some of the selections get more interesting. And then there's one that particularly gives him pause... though he decides not to dwell on it too much and shoves all of those back into the far corner of his closet before going to join Eiji.

What he finds is Eiji giving the same confused look to a t-shirt and jeans. Somehow, Ankh isn't surprised that whoever decided to stock these closets couldn't find anything that was weirder than what Eiji normally wears.

"Guess I was right, then." About someone wanting Eiji to develop a sense of style. He says, even though the rest of the closet is as blinding as ever.

"Huh?"

Give it to Eiji to completely lose track of that conversation. He's just going to...quietly fold this outfit up and see if maybe he can donate it or something later.

"Nothing." It's not worth trying to explain it. Though now that he's looking around in here a bit more...

"How come they gave you the bigger room?"

"Is it?"

Eiji looks--maybe there is a size difference? It all seems so huge to him anyway.

"I mean, I don't need all the room, if you wanted to switch or anything."

He shrugs. It's not like he needs the space, either. The two of them are used to having both of them crammed into a room smaller than either of the ones in this place. He's just slightly annoyed if whoever set this up was trying to make some kind of a statement with it.

Well, this is going to be it, isn't it? The two of them just awkwardly standing around in silence, afraid to ask the other to share a room.

Yep, that is exactly what it's going to be. But well, why should they share a room, anyway, if they don't have to both be stuffed into a tiny attic like usual?

He can't come up with anything to say about that either way, though, so maybe it's time to change the subject.

"...I wonder if there's anything to eat around here." If whoever brought them here had stocked the closets, then maybe there would be something in the refrigerator. Yep, going and checking the kitchen is a much better thing to focus on than the sleeping arrangements.

Much better than focusing on that, yes.

"I don't know. I mean, it's weird enough that they did this, but I don't know if they'd add food too..."

Ankh wouldn't be too surprised one way or the other at this point, but he doesn't say anything else as he makes his way to the kitchen and checks the... surprisingly well stocked refrigerator. Okay, maybe he is a little surprised. He blinks at that for a second, then tries the freezer and immediately hones in on his favorite flavor of ice pops.

Grabbing one out, he gives it a slightly perplexed look before he starts peeling the packaging from it. "Someone was definitely expecting us."

"That's really weird. You don't think this is something like what Mr. Kougami would do, do you?"

Which is very normal for them, but under the circumstances right now, a little unsettling for Eiji.
