Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"Nothing. I was just bored. I can bother someone else if you want." Freya really didn't care. She was here a lot and it was entertaining to flit around.

"Fantastic. Go forth. There's a man three booths to my right who really deserves it, if you're looking for targets."

"At least we know the question as to why you have no friends." She took a sip of her drink before wiggling her fingers.

She wanted to ask Emma what that strange scent was but she didn't want to potentially pick a fight.

"I have no peers, therefor no friends. Tell him that his penis is tiny and his taste in porn should embarrass him." The damn lecher was working up the courage to try some stupid line on her and she couldn't have that.

Freya found this really interesting. She paused, looked at Emma and then at the man. "Okay." She walked up to the man and repeated what Emma said. The patron didn't look to happy though Freya was smiling the whole time.

She stepped back towards Emma with the same smile. "Want me to tell you what he said or did you get that? Also, what if I made friends with a squirrel? They aren't peers but they're sometimes fun to talk to." A wolf being friends with a squirrel would't be normal.

Emma chuckled into her drink, amused that Freya had taken her suggestion. She finally looked up and regarded the young woman. "I got it, thank you. Being fun to talk to is a rather low bar to set for a friend."

Freya had no shame and she liked doing things just to see how people might react.

Freya didn't really do friends in a traditional sense. She rolled her shoulders in a shrug. "It's fun." She shrugged and then smiled.

"Maybe I have no friends too." Except like the three people who'd kill her or cry for saying that.

"See? It's not so bad as you think," Emma said with a small chuckle. "What's your name?" She liked bold people and Freya had proven herself to be one of them.

"I think I like it. Freya and you?" She took another sip of her own drink finding the conversation odd but interesting enough to keep her rooted in place.

Freya was seriously waiting for the guy to throw a hisy-fit in public. That'd be fun to watch.

"Emma. It's a pleasure to meet you." Emma slid her finished grading into her briefcase and motioned for Freya to take a seat. "How old are you?"

Freya took a seat and blinked. "That is not a question people ask. They usually assume I'm very young." After realizing that she hadn't actually answered the question she continued. "I'm 26. How old are you?"

"You look like it, but you don't seem like it," At least not to Emma. When Freya returns the question Emma chuckles. "I look as old as I am. Have you been here long?"

"That's a way to dodge a question. Fine, how do I not seem it?" She can not answer questions too, mostly because she wasn't sure how long she'd been here. A few months maybe?

That was a fair trade. "You don't care that I didn't like you at first. Younger adults are desperate to fit in, still. I used to teach teenagers and young adults to use their powers."

Freya shrugged. "I don't really know you. Hence I don't really care what you think. If you end up being someone super cool I might eventually care. Doesn't anything else seem backwards to you?"

She hummed softly.

"Most young adults lack that much confidence," Emma said with a shrug. "It's a waste of energy to care about every little person's opinion, but the young have energy to spare."

"I'd say I had energy but not because I'm young." Freya smiled to herself. "I think it's just because I'm lazy." It really was exhausting to care what people thought and Freya's main concerns were usually making sure that no one found out what she was or that she was being followed.

"Laziness isn't a bad thing if it's used judiciously."

She looked down at her papers again. "You seem to be taking this whole conversation in stride. Are you used to dealing with odd things and people?"

"Yeah. I travel a lot and I've met a lot of different people." She didn't often talk about the oddities of those she's met. It was, after all, a secret.

"Why? Are oddities normal where you're from. I think that they are normal here."

[diamonds_are_forever]

"Oddities are quite normal where I'm from, but that doesn't stop them from being regarded with fear and suspicion." For the first time Emma is showing an emotion other than cool detachment. She's annoyed by this fact, and she doesn't care if Freya knows.

Freya's brow furrowed. "Go figure." She didn't sound very happy about it either though her tone was a little bit more dismissive. "That's generally why I just act normal and play along. It's a lot easier that way, don't you think?"

People can't accept each other if they have different skin tones. How would they possibly accept something that was stronger than them.

"I think the saying is: what they don't know won't hurt you."

"It's easier, but ultimately unsatisfying." Emma had a love hate relationship with the idea of being a public mutant. She didn't hide her appearance in battle, certainly her board of directors knew about her dalliances with vigilantism. But the general public didn't know.

"Here it's different. I don't give a single damn about what these people think of me. I'm proud of my abilities and I've worked hard to be this good with them."

Freya was getting that it was unsatisfying but she was alive which was more that could be said for her family. She rolled her shoulders in reply, trying to come off as if she didn't care one way or another. The problem was that she did care.

"I don't really care either. At least what people think of me." That wasn't why she kept things about herself a secret.

"But you do care about something," Emma noted, sipping her drink again. "So what is it? Are you a mutant like me, or something else entirely?"

"Somethings, yeah." Everyone cared about something, it was one of the man things that made you feel alive.

"I'm not human. I'm a wolf." She spoke plainly and honestly.
