Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"Ah, yes, Sometimes, in trying to relate everything I can think of that is relevant, things get out of order." Merlin nodded, sipping his drink, then waved for the tender to refill hers and his both.

"Aye milady. More than once. Some are here, as well, now. But I have yet to make their acquaintances."

"Which ones are here?" She almost didn't want to know the answer but knew she had to ask anyway. It was always best to be prepared.

[themerlin]

"Elijah, Klaus, and Rebekah. There was a Kol here, but he vanished, as some do." He paused. "There is also a Hailey and a Davina who seem to be associated with them."

He watched her as he sipped his drink.

"It is a strange place, this world."

"Strange doesn't even begin to describe it."

The only name on that list that didn't raise red flags - aside from Davina, who was someone Caroline didn't know - was Elijah. She hadn't interacted with him much personally but Elena liked him. Though he did also date Katherine, which didn't exactly win him any points.

There was definitely no lost love between her and Rebekah, or Hayley for that matter. And the last time she'd seen Kol, he'd been a horribly burnt corpse, which she thought was quite the improvement over him when he was alive. She wasn't sure she even wanted to know why he wasn't still dead.

And then, there was Klaus. Where to even start with Klaus? It's not a crime to love something you can't explain. Not that she loved him or anything, but ... it was closer to that then hate at this point, she had to admit.

On that thought, she downed the rest of her drink. "I'm going to need another one of these. And probably another one after that."

"I can supply those, milady, if you like, or the barman here can. " He nodded and drinks were set up on the bar.

"You are safe here, for the moment."

Caroline grinned. "And this is why you're my new best friend. Or the barman is. Either way works for me."

She doesn't comment on the idea of being safe here. Honestly, these days she's forgotten what it really means, to be "safe."

[themerlin]

Merlin laughed, then nodded to her. "Either way, we'll take care of thee and see that you get safely back to thy domicile." Merlin nodded again. That much he could do.

He raised his glass to her again.

"To drinks, and to new friends."

"Cheers to that." She clinked her glass against his.

"So, tell me more about this place. Where do you like to go, other than the beach?"

[themerlin]

"I, myself, work a few jobs, and then go flying often, or running. I work with plants, and in my lab, and sometimes cook." He chuckled.

"I can show you my workshop, sometime." He paused. "And that was not a euphemism." He chuckled.

If it had been a euphemism, Caroline's not sure she would have minded.

"Sure, sounds like fun. So, when you say flying, somehow I get the impression you're not talking about an airplane."

[themerlin]

"Nay, milady. Usually, I fly in this form, though sometimes, I take on that of an owl, or eagle, or a dragon." He spoke matter of factly, his eyes dancing.

"I may be a bit of a wizard."

Wow, that was crazy. Caroline had met many witches but never a wizard before.

Suddenly, something in her brain clicked. "Wait a second. You're a wizard and your name is Merlin. Are you the Merlin?"

[themerlin]

Merlin chuckled. "I suppose I am, milady, though many of the legends and stories are wrong." he swept her a bow and tipped a hat that had not been there the moment before, and was not there, again, a moment later.

"Merlin is the name, counselor, busy body, practical joker, several millenia old wanderer of the worlds. At your service, milady."

Caroline was fairly certain she wasn't dreaming but right now she wasn't certain that she hadn't finally snapped and gone insane. So little about anyone of this really made sense, even coming from a world where crazy things happened at least every second Tuesday.

She looked at her second drink, already halfway gone. She really was going to need another one soon.

"I can't compete with a list like that." She paused for a moment, thinking. Not only did he have magic but he also knew about Mystic Falls. Which meant she might as well go ahead and own up to what she was. "The closest I can get is the whole vampire thing."

[themerlin]

"There is no need of competition, milady. You are a beautiful and kind woman. As far as what you are, instead of whom? Well, so long as you hurt none who do not threaten thee, I'll have no issue with thee. And indeed, will aid thee in finding ways of taking care of thy needs, if you wish it."

He smiled at her, eyes dancing with warmth. She seemed a kind person and a good one, and he found himself more than willing to be of friendly demeanor to her.

Caroline grinned. "That's probably the most positive response the whole vampire thing has ever gotten." Though it didn't really have much to compete with, as she thought back to Bonnie and her mother and, worst of all, her father. At least they had all come around in the end.

[themerlin]

"I've known many, and as far as I can tell, vampires, like all people, come in all flavors of kind." He grinned at her, tongue flicking, because, frankly, that was almost a euphemism.

"Another drink?"

He had his own refilled. "Or might I interest you in a quiet walk in the moonlight, milady?"

"Oh really?" Caroline said with a laugh. "Well, just as long as you think I'm one of the good flavours." Two could play the almost euphemism game.

She tipped her glass, finishing the last gulp. "Yes to both. You did promise to show me the beach, after all."
