Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Kendall hadn't noticed Astronema until she had gotten a little closer to where she was standing. For a moment, Kendall turned the appearance over in her head for a moment before realizing this was Karone, from the Galaxy team.

Or was it?

Kendall had been fairly young when the whole Angel Grove sacking happened, and she hadn't quite recalled that Astronema had been one of those people who led the invasion. So moving over, she raised a glass in greeting. "Hey. Is this your first time at a party?"

Astronema turned and looked at the girl who approached her. "Yes," she admitted, wondering if it was that obvious. "I didn't have much time for parties before I ended up here." And now, she had too much time on her hands and not enough to do with it - especially since progress on figuring out this strange world didn't exactly come quickly.

"Well, that makes two of us," said Kendall, sipping her drink before holding out a hand in a shake. Brusqueness as she might be, Karone, or at least she figured it might be? Seemed all right with talking to her.

"Dr. Kendall Morgan, Amber Beach Dinosaur Museum."

A few moments passed before Astronema reached over and took the offered hand. "I'm Astronema." She'd never heard of Amber Beach or its Dinosaur Museum. She really didn't care much for dinosaurs, actually.

Uh oh.

Fortunately for Kendall, she knew that picking a fight was the wrong thing to do in this situation with all of these people, and Astronema was the name that Karone went by as a villain. Making sure her expression didn't change, she nodded, shaking firmly. "Astronema."

"So, I take it you don't go to parties that often. Seeing how you said you didn't have time for it."

Astronema looked over at Kendall with annoyance. "I already said that this was my first party, didn't I? So obviously I've never gone to one before."

Some people really needed to pay more attention to these things.

"Just checking," chuckled Kendall. Okay enough poking the bear. "Well, this is a pretty good party all things considered. It's more controlled than, say, college frat parties."

Which were a nightmare when you actually had to study.

"So where are you from, might I ask? What's your world like?"

It was nice to know that this was considered a good party. It was hard to tell, with no frame of reference.

"I'm from ..." she paused, realizing that this question had become complicated in the last while. "Currently, I come from near Earth. I've heard most people know of that planet."

"Near Earth, that's fine. I'm from Earth too, in the general area of Northern California." said Kendall.

So far so good.

"I'm pretty new here, so I don't know too many people after all. Glad to meet you though."

California. Angel Grove was in California. She didn't care for that part of the planet.

"I've been here for several months now. There aren't too many people of interest, though there are some." Astronema hadn't decided whether or not Kendall was one of them yet.

"I take it you like excitement then? I'm a archaeologist. That means I study Dinosaurs and fossils mostly. I run a museum, for relics of the past." explained Kendall. "Other than that, I dabble in technology."

Astronema's not sure yet if she likes excitement or not. At very least, she only likes the right type of excitement. Usually one that she is in control of.

She's aware of what an archeologist was and couldn't see much use for one here. But someone who dealt with technology was always worth a second look. "What sort of dabbling?"

"I'm pretty good with machines, some robotics. I can build a little device for retrieval of items in hazardous areas as well. Advanced technology, or at least as advanced as one can be during my time." said Kendall, pausing to take a sip of her drink.

"I'm also good with programming as well, which allows me to make my own software."

Okay, Astronema's mind was made up: Kendall sounded like a very useful person to have around. She smiled at her, trying to look as friendly as possible. "That sounds very impressive."

"I do what I can. Having a place to work from would be useful as well," said Kendall. "I'm starting to settle in, but it's not too bad here. Having to build a lab from scratch though, that's the real issue."

[princess_of_evil]

Now she was beginning to sound like Andros. But Astronema wasn't going to let a bad association stop her from finding our more about Kendall. "Have you been able to make much progress so far?"

[galactic_blast]

"Not much," admitted Kendall. "I've found some things at the junkyard, so I'm making some progress. It's not much, but I also need to find some quartz and plenty of it. It's for the project I have in mind."

Specifically making Dinochargers. "Quartz or geodes mostly. Are there any kinds of things like that here?"

[princess_of_evil]

Of course, the junkyard. Kendall really did think like Andros. "I haven't seen any quartz but if I do, you'll be the first to know." She couldn't imagine what use quartz would be, however. Sometimes, she wondered if she should have learned more about how technology worked, rather than relying on underlings to take care of it.

Part of being a scavenging scientist. Kendall nodded, pausing to take a sip of her drink. "Quartz and geodes have great conductive sensitivity, and it allows me to charge batteries with a new system I developed a long time ago. It was part of my thesis of energy movement in motion."

"I just wish there was at least a electronics store here... It would make life a whole lot easier. If there is, I haven't found it yet."

"I haven't seen on either and I've been exploring since I arrived." Astronema thought about that for a moment. "You might be able to open one, though I don't know where you would get supplied from. But I'm not sure where the books in the bookstore come from either."

"One of this places great mysteries then," huffed Kendall. "I'll just have to look around a little more then."

Taking a sip of her drink, she asked, "So what do you do here? I'm not working obviously, yet, but I heard there's employment of sorts?"

"I haven't felt the need for such things." And she hoped that would never change. "I have been trying to figure out how things work here and how we might be able to leave."

"I can understand that. This place has some very unique qualities that I'm not entirely certain how anything works." Kendall wasn't going to judge Astronema. If she was in her shoes, Kendall would have done nothing but focus on going home.

Kendall rolled her eyes a little at the unknown power that seeped into the islands. "I suppose more prodding will be required."

"Prodding and prying," Astronema agreed. "And probably less partying." She had to admit, she wasn't really enjoying the festivities. Maybe parties just weren't for her. Especially if this was supposedly a good one.

"One or two couldn't hurt, but I'm usually working through them anyhow."

Which was to say, Kendall at least dressed the part at times. "I wonder if there's a gem store here with some geodes? Have you found any place? I might be able to cobble something together to check the energy signs here."
