Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

More powerful than a sorcerer? But his words caught her attention.

"What do you mean what some of you are?" she asked carefully.

This wasn't a situation in which she could call for a swords or charge into battle, brandishing a weapon of sorts. She couldn't count on the steadfastness of Leon or any of her knights to come take up arms with her. Here, she was on her own. Completely. She'd done it before. Faced off beasts and sorceresses on her own before. She could do it again.

"Hi. My name's Gabriel," he says, wriggling his fingers at her in a wave. "Yes, the one people have in mind when naming their kids. I'm pretty sure you've probably heard of my Father."

In other words, she's been a bit shirty with an Archangel.

"So, since we're sharing names, who are you?"
artis: (Out with my horse)

She was skeptical. Artis took one or two steps closer to really look at him.

"Certainly not what I was expecting of an archangel. I am Artis Pendragon, daughter of Uther Pendragon, and Crown Princess to Camelot."

Slightly less impressive than an archangel but a title nonetheless. Though that did give her pause for thought. What sort of place was this to be able to steal away a supposed archangel of the Lord?

"Don't worry, I'm sure if Michael ever shows up, he might fit your expectations a bit more. So long as you remember the 'General of Heaven' title and what that implies," Gabriel says before blinking and facepalming for a moment.

"Seriously?" He looks back up. "You'll probably be fun for Merlin to handle, given his version is a man named Arthur. He's from well after your time, and given there are people from multiple universes here, may not even be your version of him anyway."

At the prospect of her servant being here and a familiar face, Artis minutely relaxed. However, as Gabriel went on and described a man named Arthur, her lips set in a thin line. Everyone knew Uther wanted a son desperately and that with Artis and the death of his beloved Ygraine, the king much to blame magic for.

"Multiple universes?" Archangels walking among men? Gabriel was right in this went far beyond a simple sorcerer.

Gabriel nods. "Yep. Some of them are completely different from each other with different civilizations and so on. Others hold some similarities aside from major differences in things like if magic exists and whatnot. And then there's the universes that are very close to each other, aside from relatively minor differences like where in one universe, your father had a daughter and in the other, he's had a son instead."

Gabriel pauses for a moment. "I realize it's not that minor to you, but in the grand scheme of things, it is."
artis: (Is that so?)

[personal profile] artis 2016-11-22 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"And just how do you know of these differences?" she asked, her mind whirling at the prospects of all of it. How did she know he was not simply a deterrent of where she needed to be?

Artis mentally shook herself: a sword. She needed a sword. She needed rope. She needed a dagger, blankets, provisions. A horse didn't seem necessary with how she was on an isle that appeared to be floating.

"You mean besides there being lots of people from different universes here?" Gabriel asks with raised eyebrows. "We've had time to work some of this shit out. There's a group here in which someone they're used to being a guy is actually a girl instead. I imagine that took some adjusting for everyone involved."

Gabriel shrugs a little. "None of them is anyone I know from home, so there's no 'but you're supposed to be...!' from me."

"Lucky you," she all but snorted. There were others, potentially, that were here from her world as well. "Besides...Merlin, you haven't seen anyone else from Camelot?" she asked carefully. Perhaps she needed to talk to this Merlin. No relation, perhaps, and possibly every bit a dull servant as he was in her world.

lotsoflaughs: (Calm)

[personal profile] lotsoflaughs 2016-11-22 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Gabriel shakes his head. "Nope, not that I'm aware of. I think Merlin would have mentioned it if anyone was."

Not necessarily with any detail beyond 'so and so is here', but it would at least be a mention.

Anyway, another detail. That being the phone he's still holding out to her. "Would you take this thing? It won't bite and it's not magic. People have become better at making things since your time. You can use it to talk to people without having to go out and find them to speak to them in person."
artis: (Default)

[personal profile] artis 2016-11-23 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
She hesitated before taking the thing out of his hand. She looked at it disdainfully then back at him.

"You are from the future, then, if you mean to say that people have become better at making things." She barely dangled the phone by her fingers. "Why would you not wish to speak to someone in person?"
lotsoflaughs: (Calm)

[personal profile] lotsoflaughs 2016-11-23 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, a little while back, we had a blizzard that dumped several feet of snow on us. No one with any intelligence would have tried to go anywhere. Leaving them with just using their own of those," said with a nod to her device, "to talk to others if they lived alone."

Would she really have wanted to be stuck in her house alone with no one to talk to because she risked becoming a block of ice if she tried to leave?
artis: (Default)

[personal profile] artis 2016-11-24 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)

"Then one would dig out of the snow to reach another person."

Artis knew this was a losing argument of sorts. But with magic so rampant and so casual as this Gabriel was saying, she might need to tread carefully.

"One would have frozen to death and deserved it for being an idiot if they did," Gabriel points out, just barely restraining the urge to roll his eyes. "The only ones going anywhere were us angels and anyone we happened to feel like taking with."
