Welcome to Medietas! Do you have an interest in joining the game? Is there an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, perhaps you're looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do! If you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see and do!

2. Islands: There is definitely some weirdness going on around the islands from the sidewalks that glow to the mysterious energy that doesn't seem to have any direct source. There are statues that hum softly and seem to grow every so often. And what is with these bridges? Go forth and investigate! Puzzles are FUN!

3. PARTY: Every month or so there's always a celebration somewhere, be it on Mulciber, Imber, Mundus, or Eurus! Eat, drink, dance, talk among the other islanders. It's about making new friends and enjoying yourself, right? Even if you have been stolen away from your homeworld to a bunch of floating islands.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Kevin Allaway | Original Character

I. Getting Started
Initially, the shock of being surrounded by a multitude of different scents, some places or objects he's never encountered, others entire species that were alien, and the lack of any home scent, the absence of his marked territory, was a shock to his system. He felt lost, adrift, and immediately made his way, following the provided map, to the residence he'd been provided. Before Kevin could truly explore, his instincts needed to be satiated, and for a male werewolf, that meant marking territory as his own. The modest townhouse on the island the map called Mundus wasn't one he would have chosen, but it sufficed, and after shifting and doing his business, he immediately felt the pressure of dislocation subside.

He had a base to which to return. The rest of the island could be claimed later, as it hadn't already been by another male. Claiming the rest of the island seemed a logical next step, but having the townhouse gave him the leverage he needed to explore the rest of this new place. He'd never been dislocated by magic before, which was the only explanation he could come up with considering all the magic smells around him, but another scent caught his attention more than all the rampant energy.

Her. After she'd left, he hadn't thought he'd ever smell that scent again, but somehow, she was here. Her scent wasn't strong on Mundus, but he was able to follow it across the bridges to the desert of Mulciber, and to a place that made him grin as soon as he saw it.

"Dice, Dice, Baby, huh?" He laughed as he opened the door and stepped inside. "That's awesome."

4. Wild Card - VIDEO!
[When the video initializes, a grinning Kevin gives a mock salute.]

Hey, Medietas. What's shakin'? I've got a proposition. It involves pizza, dice, luck, and everybody meeting at Dice, Dice Baby. Tonight. Because gaming requires pizza. Who's in?

Kevin was in luck because Freya happened to be working. She didn't look very happy but she was seated behind the counter with a wolf and a dog milling around her. Neither were hers but she ended up watching them whenever she was at work and Rocky or Thor were off doing something relevant to work. Despite having strength on her side she refused to help with the heavy lifting. Let the were-dork and clumsy Norse god handle it.

When Kevin walked in she was reading a comic that was positioned in her lap and tossing a D20 in the air. It was a very therapeutic exercise for her.

"Let me know if you have any questions." She'd heard the bell to the store but didn't feel the need to look up. She didn't know Kevin and while she smelled that he was a werewolf and an unclaimed male she didn't realize that he was from the same world as her. She'd met so many werewolves that it was hard to tell.

Her scent filled his nostrils just like the first time she'd walked into his store, and the effect was just the same. His gaze honed in on her, but...she didn't seem to recognize him. A weight sunk into his stomach at the thought. She...didn't know him? He could never forget her scent and she didn't even know him?

That's it. This wasn't some weird, magic, kidnapping. It was a nightmare. He swallowed before doing his best to flash her a smile.

"Who thought of sticking a game store in the middle of the desert?"

Freya looked up and gave Kevin her attention when it was clear that he was going to keep talking to her. She flipped the comic book closed and Kevin might be able to see the title 'Gwenpool' artfully spelled on it's cover. The comic got placed on the counter next to the resister as did the D20.

She hadn't seen him before and as he stepped closer she got a little bit more curious. He smelled more familiar than every other werewolf she's run into. "That would be Rocky who is our resident dork and were." He could probably tell that there was a male wolf around and Freya felt like it was polite to elaborate. "He's sort of eccentric, which is a nice way of saying he's insane and enjoys the sound of his own voice."

The dog behind the counter with Freya nosed her thigh and in reply she began to pet her. "Anything I can help you find?" Her head tilted as her light gray eyes looked Kevin up and down. He really was cute though she already learned that getting closer to people here was more dangerous given their habit to disappear.

"I thought I smelled another were. He doesn't smell the same, though." Kevin couldn't exactly put into words how he smelled different, though. Only that he did and that it was strange.

He chuckles. "Are you trying to say there's something wrong with being eccentric?" If he were a rich guy, which he certainly wasn't, he'd consider himself eccentric, especially for a werewolf.

He raised an eyebrow at the comic she set down. "I didn't have you pegged for Gwenpool."

Freya lifted her shoulders in a short shrug. "There are a lot of weird werewolves around here. Some even do that Hollywood thing with their bites." She squinted at him. "You're not one of those weird wolves right?" She was used to being a wolf more than a person while most of the wolves here were born as people and had to learn how to be a wolf. Communicating with them a a wolf was weird and awkward since they didn't seem to completely understand Freya.

"Nothing wrong with it but-" She frowned. "Once you meet him, you'll see. He's loud and in your face. He's calmed down some now that he has a girl friend but he's still really annoying." The part that Freya disliked around Rocky was his insistance that she was part of his pack. She really wanted to kick that guy in the shines sometimes.

Freya shrugged again when he spoke about the comic book. "It's something to read and you'll find the selection really small but if you want to meet Thor he's sometimes here working." And breaking things. "Do you like comics or just happen to know a few of them. If so I'm going to ask Marvel versus DC and I want your honest long winded opinion."

This was what she did at work, tried to get people to go on rants to distract her.
