Welcome to Medietas! Have an interest in joining the game? Maybe you have an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, maybe you're just looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon, via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see!
3. Event: Teams are being put together to venture out deep into the islands of Eurus and Mulciber to track and destroy a vicious beast who has been the reason for the disappearances of several island locals. Please help stop the creature before anyone else goes missing!
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"I was sent here by my gods,' She clarified, her expression more resigned then sad or scared. "There was a fever..I think here they call it 'the flu'. So many were falling ill that mother turned the drinking hall into an infirmary, and anyone who hadn't fallen sick was made to care for them or take the bodies of those who'd died."
She didn't like to think of this, but it was in her past. The worse was over for her. "This was some days, I got sick as well. The fever was so strong I couldn't tell you for how long. All I know is that I was ill, tired, and fatigued, and then I went to sleep-or maybe that's when I died. Mother and father told me I died of the fever." There's not much of a reaction: so many of their people had died from the illness, she couldn't say she was shocked. "I woke up here instead, still feverish, but strong enough to walk off the ship, and fortunate enough to see my father on the docks."
High school positive message after school programing from the 90s? Yes, I do think so.
"I admit I don't understand," Trini said, "but if there is anything I can do you help you and your family, I will. Okay?"
And since she was kneeling, she was looking up t the younger girl.
And here we're bringing on value disconesance
The woman had yet to tell her her name, but even looking at her, Gyda could tell she was from a modern era, or atleast a place where they had controlled heat-no one wore that sort of clothing if it wasn't a warm place. "Something you need to know about this place. Not everyone here is from the same time. Home..well, home for me was Denmark, the year seven hundred and ninety five. If I didn't arrive here, it would be in Helfiem, the realm of those who die from old age or sickness.""
To a student of history, that would be enough to put some of the pieces together: her clothes and the weapons on her back, the year she was from, and the name..she was from the age of the vikings. "You also haven't given me your name."
Wow
"I'm sorry, I'm Trini. I'm from California, in the United States.... which... wasn't founded until the 1700s," she realized, speaking as she winced a bit. "How is it that we're speaking the same language then?" That really didn't make any sense.
or atleast leading up to it
At the second question, she once more held out the device. "This has some magic to it. So long as I have it switched on, it.." She tried and failed to think of how to explain it. "The magic translates my words to english-you see?"
Gydaturned the device off and handed it to her. Like a literally switch was turned off, the words she spoke were Norse, not english, and definitely a language Trini wouldn't recognize. "My name is Gyda, I'm twelve years old., I can speak little english now-different from Athelstan's english."
She says the last few words in slow, deliberate english. Even with the device, she's been trying to learn to actually speak and understand the language on her own.

She did blink at the technology of the device, holding it when it was handed to her. She listened, then nodded. She spoke slowly and carefully, "That was very well done," she told her, meaning her attempt at English. She wasn't sure what country Athelstan was, but then she hand't studied as much history as she probably should have.
"I will practice English with you," she said still careful and deliberate, "Whenever you wish. And if you want," a small smile, "I can also teach you Chinese."
