Welcome to Medietas! Have an interest in joining the game? Maybe you have an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, maybe you're just looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon, via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see!

3. Event: Teams are being put together to venture out deep into the islands of Eurus and Mulciber to track and destroy a vicious beast who has been the reason for the disappearances of several island locals. Please help stop the creature before anyone else goes missing!

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Trini took in the staff, the black leather outfit, the hair. If Kim were there, she knew her friend would be making commentary on the over all look, but Trini found herself sliding into a fighting stance, which actually meant stepping forward slightly, since she was against a building.

The question was a little odd, since all of Rita's goons always seemed to know who they were, but she wasn't letting her guard down. "I'm not looking for trouble, but I will defend myself."

Since she wasn't 100% this was one of Rita's, though she did look like trouble waiting for an excuse to happen.

Astronema recognized the stance of a trained fighter when she saw it. She adjusted her staff, ready to blast the girl if it came to that.

"If you're not looking for trouble, then why don't you answer my question?"

"Why exactly do I have to answer your question, if you're not looking for the same?" she asked. Angel Grove logic at its best. Or worst, as the case may be. She kept her eyes on the staff and waited for a sign the other woman was going to attack. Trini would never hit first, but she would defend herself.

Astronema rolled her eyes. "Because it's polite," she said finally, even though she couldn't care less about that. "Also, because if you don't, I'm going to have to hurt you."

Since when do Rita's goons care about polite. "I'm Trini, and I will defend myself if I have to. who are you?"

[princess_of_evil]

Trini. The name was familiar but she couldn't remember why. But the fact that it was a name she even vaguely knew seemed to confirm her suspicious. "I am Astronema, Princess of Evil," she replied, to see what would happen next.

And that was all Trini needed, really.

"I don't know where we are or why, but I won't let you hurt the people here," she said. She readied herself. As soon as the other attacked, Trini would be free to take her down. And she clearly had every intention to do just that.

Well well well. It looks like the day might be fun after all. Astronema wasted no time in raising the Wrath Staff and shooting a bolt of energy at Trini.

Trini dove to the side. Now she could fight back.

"IT'S MORPHING TIME!" she called, pulling her morpher from her back pocket as she threw herself to the side, rolling away from the blast. She held the morpher out in front of her. "SABER TOOT TIGER!" she called, initiating the morph. and we all know nothing ever interrupts the stock footage.

She came to her feet, the Yellow Ranger, ready to fight.

Well, that explained why the name was familiar. Just what Astronema needed, another Power Ranger. The costume was a bit different from what she was used to but that hardly mattered.

Astronema walked sideways, almost prowling around Trini. "How sad, a power ranger without a team. You didn't think any of your friends were here, did you?"

[speaks_billy]

"Doesn't matter, I'm more than enough to take you down," she said through her mask. "You're not hurting anyone here, not while there is even a single Power Ranger to stop you, lady."

[princess_of_evil]

She laughed. "I think I can manage one ranger. You won't be the first I've defeated and I'm sure you won't be the last."

She charged forward, swinging her staff in Trini's direction.

She dodged to the side again and came up in a fighting stance. "Not first or last, because you aren't defeating me, and you aren't defeating any Ranger ever again!"

She would do what it took to protect them all!

Not bad, not bad at all. This was beginning to get fun.

"You're going to have to do better than that to have a chance, little ranger."

[speaks_billy]

"I'll do whatever I have to," she said, grimly. She had climbed those rocks to save Billy, nothing here could be more terrifying....

She wasn't going to let herself think about the boat she was on, however. She would keep away from the edge of the island, though....

"Talk, talk, talk ... do you plan on actually doing anything more?"

Astronema lifted the staff and shot out another bolt of lightning Trini's way. Now that Trini was morphed, Astronema knew the ranger could take a few hits and survive. But it would still hurt.

She dodged to the side again. Part of her brain ticked off possibilities, including what she had done to that putti. She could do it if she was brave enough, except... This wasn't a putti. Evil or not, this was a person, and no way was she doing that.

"You have your weapon, I have mine," she said as an answer. How many times could she shoot that? Trini was going to tire herself physically before the other girl was, but what about magically? Could she make this an endurance game? She thought it was a plan Billy might be proud of, and that made her smile behind her mask. Plus the banter gave her moments of rest and readiness.

"Do you now? Then why don't you try using it? Or are you too afraid?" Astronema smiled again. "I wouldn't blame you, if you were."

[speaks_billy]

"I am," she said, smiling behind the mask. Her mouth, her brain. Those weapons might not be as sharp for her as they are for Billy and Kim, but she was still a Ranger, and she wasn't going to let this girl talk her into escalating the conflict. No way. But she was going to do the best she could to tire her out.

[princess_of_evil]

Astronema wasn't tired but she was beginning to get bored. "If you're not going to fight back, why don't you just let me destroy you and be done with it?"

[speaks_billy]

"You're welcome to try," she said. Bored would work too, so long as it backed her off. This was another Scorpina, it seemed. Eventually she'd go back to where she came from. And then this world would be safe, that much longer.


Not every battle needed to be fought, some could be waited out.

Astronema shot another bolt of energy Trini's way. If this didn't at least partially work, then perhaps this was a fight better left to another day, when the ranger didn't have so much room to dodge and delay.

Trini flipped back, but was a little too aware of the edge, and missed her landing slightly, taking part of the hit. She rolled away from the edge and got up, holding one arm. She'd be fine, she'd recover, she was a Power Ranger. She's been through worse.

Astronema smiled when Trini lost her balance slightly. As Trini stood up again, Astronema charged towards the ranger, swinging her staff towards her target.

[speaks_billy]

Not good.

This time instead of throwing herself to the side or dodging back, she dropped low and moved under the point of the staff, catching the haft over one shoulder, trying to knock her foe off balance. If she can, her free hand will deliver a blow, palm forward, to her neck or chin, which ever she could reach.
