Welcome to Medietas! Have an interest in joining the game? Maybe you have an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, maybe you're just looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon, via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see!
3. Event: Teams are being put together to venture out deep into the islands of Eurus and Mulciber to track and destroy a vicious beast who has been the reason for the disappearances of several island locals. Please help stop the creature before anyone else goes missing!
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"Back home you nearly did marry Lydia. She was an envoy for the Clave and you needed to untarnish the Lightwood name," she tells him. "But Magnus showed up..." She takes a deep breath and lets it out. "You are not taking any type of weapons from me. As for my brother, I am upset with him. He went with our father through a damn portal!"
no subject
"You're from Izzy's reality then." At least that made things easier, explanation wise. Despite the confusion, Alec couldn't help smiling wryly. "I am never going to untarnish the Lightwood name and I'm too far out of the closet for any Nephlim to consider marrying me."
Bristling at her comment about Jace, he reacted before he realized that it wasn't his Jace or even the one he'd adopted here one the islands. "You come near Jace with any intent to harm him, and you will not like how I stop you." Without realizing it, his voice had taken on the edge he'd used when talking to the Seelie after Magnus had been kidnapped. Taking a deep breath, he reminded himself that it was a different Clary and a different Jace. "He is not your brother. He's from a different reality than yours. His Alec didn't get engaged and he didn't go with Valentine. Your Jace is probably back in your reality stuck with Valentine because he thinks it's the right thing to do."
no subject
"Good. I don't think any of us would be too happy with you if you did untarnish your family name," she says with a bit of a smile. "I think it was okay anyway since since she didn't really want it. Lydia wanted you to be happy."
Those eyes of hers narrow at him," You so much as even try, Alec, and I will put you on your ass. You don't know anything about me and Jace. Maybe you do from your timeline or reality or whatever it wants to be called." Clary can feel herself tense up a bit," What in the hell are you talking about, Alec? He is my brother. Though you're an idiot if you think that I would actually harm Jace."
no subject
"You mean the Alec from your reality. I've never met Lydia." The smile made him relax slightly even if he knew this wasn't his Clary. He could be polite. If he could be civil to Robert and the Clave he could be polite to Clary.
Or not. Rolling his eyes, he ignored her posturing. "I've been to Hell, Clary. I've fought armies of demons. You're not going to scare me. The Clary from Jace's reality is angry enough at him to want to hurt him." Was Jace's Clary like this? No wonder he was concerned about ever seeing her again. "In two realities, Valentine had two sons. One was biologically his, the other he adopted: Jonathan Herondale. Jace. He raised them both as his children, but only one is genetically your brother. In my world and the Jace that's here's world, you're not siblings."
no subject
"Lydia really isn't your type anyway," She tells him with a shrug. To be honest? Magnus and Alec seemed like they belonged with one another. Though she's not sure how well that was going to play out back home. Hopefully in both of their favors.
"Why is she angry with him? What exactly did he do?" Right now the only reason she had to be angry with Jace was because he ran off with their father. Except now Alec was saying that Jace wasn't her brother. Reaching up she rubs her temple slightly," Wait, I thought it was Jonathan Christopher. Maybe we shouldn't tell me about this, Alec." Even if telling her gave her a bit of hope. Especially with how drawn she was to Jace.

Despite his annoyance, he let out a snort of laughter that would have earned a glare from his mother. "Definitely not my type unless she's secretly male." That could be possible. The younger Shadowhunters were becoming more open to ideas like that.
"They broke up. She wasn't happy about it. He also did something reckless and heroic afterward." The thought of it made the phantom wound ache sharply enough that Alec absentmindedly rubbed the spot above his heart. "Jonathan Christopher Herondale. Valentine stole the Herondale's baby and named him Jonathan. My mother came up with 'Jace'."
At the idea of not telling her, Alec shrugged. "Jace knows that he's not biologically Valentine's son and Izzy knows the truth. I don't know why I can't tell you." Especially if they were going to be stuck here for awhile.
no subject
"Why did they break up?" Great, now she was curious. This wasn't anything that was going to happen to her, right? Not that she was dating anyone. Not Jace or Simon. Her father had stolen someone else's kid. "So wait... if he's Jonathan then why would my mother mourn a box of his things? Was it really his or this other guy that's my brother."
She rolls her eyes slightly," It's not that you can't tell me, Alec. However, we're outside and I'd really like to sit down. That way it makes it a bit easier to take everything in."
no subject
"The breakup was complicated and didn't happen in my reality. It still bothers him so please don't push. He's dealing with a lot right now." Which was a huge understatement but Alec wasn't going to tell his parabatai's secrets. "The things in the box were your brother's not Jace's. Jocelyn never knew about Jace."
Nodding thoughtfully, Alec looked around, gauging how Clary was reacting and if she'd try to run if he led her to Mugs. "There's a coffee shop nearby. We could go there if you want to know more about everything before you meet the others."
no subject
"I'll do my best not to push," Clary tells him honestly. That's all that she could honestly give him. That she'd try her best not to shove Jace over the edge. Especially with this being one she didn't know. "That's just really complicated. So, wait, does that mean my brother's name really was Jonathan?"
Luckily for Alec, she had no intentions of running. Even though she was on edge already as it was. "Coffee would be awesome right now." She's quiet for a moment," In your world, is Simon...?" She doesn't want to say the word out in the open. After all, if there were people around who didn't know about the Shadow World then nothing should be said about it. Right?
no subject
"Thank you. He's hurting right now. Valentine's his dad in the ways that mattered and his father betrayed him. He's learning how to deal with it." If she'd be honest, then Alec would be as well. Better that she know than accidentally do something that might freak Jace out or cause him to start fighting when he was finally starting to relax. "Your brother really is Jonathan. He was what Valentine wanted in a son." Yet it'd been Jace that Valentine had wept for.
"Simon's in training to be like us." Alec gave her a look of approval since she hadn't mentioned vampire in public even if Downworlders on the islands didn't hide. "I tell people that we're hunters or soldiers. Anything else I'm careful about."
no subject
"You don't need to thank me, Alec," she says softly. "This is Jace we're talking about and I don't want him hurting." As for the mention of her brother being Jonathan, it just hurt her head. "Have you actually met my brother?"
At the mention of Simon though she can't help but smile," He's actually training with you all? Is he getting better?" Though that smile gets a bit wider," Okay, so we're hunters then. That's better than the alternative and it coming out."
no subject
For a few seconds, he considered telling her about some of the things Valentine had done and about Jonathan/Sebastian, but that were 'need to sit down' topics. "I have met him."
"He is. He's already a better Shadowhunter than I am." Even before he'd agreed to be Nephilim, he'd been a better Shadowhunter than Alec. It would have bothered him a few months ago, but he was the one who could keep up with Jace and his parabatai never regretted the bond. That made Alec 'good enough'.
Mentally wincing at the idea of the truth being found out, he forced himself to smile. "We can talk at Mugs. The baristas know me and know that I'm not exactly a Mundane."
no subject
"So what changed that made the two of you start getting along?" That was something that Clary was more than curious about. Especially if they'd started out not getting along and now they treated each other like family. "Scared because of the way he feels?"
Wait, he'd just confirmed that he'd met her brother. There's a lot of questions that swam through her mind. What was he like? Was he more like their mother or more like their father? Though, in a way, she didn't want to bog Alec down with all of that either. Even if she wanted answers.
"Wait, no, you can't be talking about my best friend," Clary says with a bit of a laugh. "A better Shadowhunter than you? That's not even remotely possible, Alec." On top of that she's still reeling from the idea of Simon being a Shadowhunters. He was a vampire. He couldn't be both, could he?
She's quiet for a moment and just lets him lead them towards Mugs. That was an interesting name for a coffee place. Though simple and to the point too," They know you're not a Mundane? How?"
no subject
Alec would worry about it still if he hadn't been so obvious in coming out and had so many supportive people in his life. The fact that he'd become a hero had helped. It was difficult to explaining stripping a Shadowhunter's marks and exiling him when he helped win two wars.
"Simon Lewis? I'm assuming he's your best friend in your reality." Shrugging, he stuffed his hands in his pockets, not really liking the idea of talking about what Simon had done. Alec had been trying to deal with it but it hadn't been easy. "He saved my life. And Jace's. And Izzy's." In a softer voice, he added, "He saved Magnus when I couldn't."
Shaking off that thought, he realized he hadn't even told Jace about that. Not really. "I figured out that some people here are Downworlders. I dropped a few hints so they know I'm a Downworlder too."
