Welcome to Medietas! Have an interest in joining the game? Maybe you have an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, maybe you're just looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon, via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see!

3. Event: Teams are being put together to venture out deep into the islands of Eurus and Mulciber to track and destroy a vicious beast who has been the reason for the disappearances of several island locals. Please help stop the creature before anyone else goes missing!

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Yes, though we only wear the pointy hats on special occasions.

Well, yeah. I mean, you wouldn't want to wear them all the time or people might get nervous.

[He now thinks she's pulling his leg. Which is a nice change compared to being behind the times. like he usually is.]

They would just think us odd. Pointed hats are very low on the list if strange things they have seen us wear in public.

Do I want to know what else you wear in public that's strange?

Many in the wizarding community have trouble blending in with the non-magical, unless of course they were born into such a community to begin with. My friend's father still has problems at times, and I've been helping him for years.

[she blames it on over-enthusiasm]

I was more trying to ask how I would know. I'm from LA, there are a lot of people there who don't know how to blend-in.

I'm afraid I only have experience with European wizards. It's possible that American wizards have an easier time going unnoticed.

Maybe. I don't know that I've ever met any witches or wizards. Except on Halloween, but then I don't think they were real.

Now you have met at least one real witch. [take that, Statute of Secrecy. Though she's fairly sure it doesn't matter here. Rainbow bridges and everything]

Well, I guess I have. Though I hardly think talking through a machine counts as meeting.

I imagine it's the most efficient way of meeting people here. According to the map I was given, all the islands are fairly large.

Being from LA, this place is fairly small. It's like each island is a small part of a neighborhood.

The last place I was in was just a single castle and the neighboring town.

Was it on an island?

Erm, no. We had a duck pond on the castle grounds, though.

Water is nice. And versatile. So important to have around....

Is there water here? A pond or lake or pool?

I saw on the map that one of the islands borders an ocean. I also imagine there would be pools for recreation or sport.

Maps can be deceiving. Sometimes things change and the maps don't get updated.

Then I suppose you'll just have to go to that island and find out, eh?

Well, yes. That does tend to be how those things work.

What about you? What do you want to find here?

Find anyone I know first. Then learn all I can about this place and its native people.

The studious sort. I find it fascinating how everyone reacts so differently to this place. Some people want to get home. Some people want to just live here. Some people want to enjoy it... you... want to research.

[Not that there's anything wrong with that. He's just making an observation.]

I've already been away from home for three years. While I do want to go back, I understand the importance of learning all I can about the world I'm in as well.

Three years... But not for school. I mean, I know what it means to be away from home for a bit. The way you said it. Just sounds like you mean you've been away and not for education.

Actually I just got back to school back home before I was taken to another world the first time. That's where I was living the past three years. And somehow instead of returning home, I was brought here.
