Welcome to Medietas! Have an interest in joining the game? Maybe you have an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, maybe you're just looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon, via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see!
3. Event: Teams are being put together to venture out deep into the islands of Eurus and Mulciber to track and destroy a vicious beast who has been the reason for the disappearances of several island locals. Please help stop the creature before anyone else goes missing!
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

You speak as if you were there. [He says coldly with only a hint of intrigue in his tone.] I can tell you're not him from just your words alone.
The malice of the Fayth are known to me.
[He smiles somewhat but it's a humorless one.]
Tell me, did you dream of this? A world so vibrant and pure not yet beseiged by war.
no subject
He crosses his arms. The Fayth? Did this guy think he was one of them? He'd been killed before the Fayth had been created, before Zanarkand had died. He was sure he even saw a real point to them.]
I'm not one of the Fayth, I didn't dream. [Except to destroy Spira but that was more of a goal than a dream.] And I would dream of Zanarkand winning.

That and the untold violence that lurks within that cold gaze.]
Ah, such rancor. You're quite the selfish man. A nameless nightmare that would seek revenge over peace.
[He chuckles quietly.]
What a joke you are.
no subject
I suppose I always have been a bit selfish. [He gives a half-hearted shrug and shakes his head.] Revenge. It felt so important for so long. A bit beyond me here though. No Vegnagun and I know Lenne wouldn't want it. Destroying Spira doesn't hold the same appeal it did.

[Seymour pauses for a nonce.
All mentions of that colossal weapon had been lost to Spiral. There were none who knew of it nevertheless knew of its name. This why Seymour seems utterly lost now in this little conversation. He knows nothing of Vegnagun and in turn is utterly unaware of the evils that lurk beneath St. Bevelle.]
I suppose I should be grateful that your bloodlust has been quelled but you confuse me.

[A grin, almost wolfish. He really needs to let this go but a thousand years of habit and hatred takes awhile to break.] A giant machina weapon. They hid it away because they couldn't control it.
[Couldn't control their own weapon. It actually still makes him laugh a little.]
no subject
[He's literally having trouble wrapping his mind around this supposed truth. Seymour stares at the blonde as if hesitant to believe a word he says.]
A weapon that cannot be controlled lacks a purpose.
[He hums quietly to himself as he contemplates the reason why Vegnagun was crafted by the ancient Bevenites. Surely they meant to use it during the Machina War but what a pointless endeavor it ended up becoming.
A scoff escapes Seymour as he forces himself not to mentally admonish his ancestors.]
Spiral was doomed since the beginning.
no subject
[Even with Bevelle's improved machina, Zanarkand kept them at bay with summoners. Better than nothing, at least.]
Was it? [Strange to hear that coming from someone- oh, it hits him then why he has a similar sense that Lenne did.] Didn't think summoners thought like that.
no subject
Hm. I think not. Spira was doomed once humanity came about and no amount of prayer could save it nor...power.
[He takes a moment to ease out of his nihilistic rant for a moment so he could mull through his gloomy thoughts. Seymour does well to mask his emotions from others but sometimes, the feelings breach the surface.]
War, in itself, is such a selfish affair. It's always begins the same, you have something I don't have and therefore I mean to take it from you. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason behind the many wars fought. Certainly seems to be a common theme.
no subject
Isn't that what you people do? Go on your pilgrimages, save the world for a little while for all the little people.
[Shuyin gave a dismissive little shrug.] Don't know why they fought us. They had the better machina, Zanarkand didn't take up space for something else. Guess they were just bigots.
