Welcome to Medietas! Have an interest in joining the game? Maybe you have an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, maybe you're just looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon, via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see!

3. Event: Teams are being put together to venture out deep into the islands of Eurus and Mulciber to track and destroy a vicious beast who has been the reason for the disappearances of several island locals. Please help stop the creature before anyone else goes missing!

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Rue liked the city. Well, he liked the white marble pillars of Phaonica, the lovely view of his favorite tree from his terrace, the sights and sounds of Immanion. This place was nothing compared to it. But, at the moment, he wasn't at Phaonica. As much as he would have preferred it, he was not seated at his terrace with a glass of wine, gazing at the view below. He wondered how long it would take his consort to realize he was even gone.

Staring at the person in front of him, Rue raised an eyebrow. "Yes, thank you for stating the obvious. Although I'm not sure what kind of kidnapper dumps us at the docks, unrestrained. " A small pause. " I wonder how much I'm worth." He wondered if Pell would even pay, or if he'd do a little dance in his private quarters while crafting a perfect speech announcing to the public the Tigrina's apparent demise at unknown hands.

His expression darkened the more he thought about the situation. Why were they here and how had they been removed from home and family? The implications were staggering--the kind of power it would take...and who was to say that it wasn't raised in blood?

"The kind who does not fear our power." The kind who could keep them there regardless of whatever feeble flailings they tried to escape. But it was the next thing the man in front of him said that stopped him short.

Worth? "Is this to be about prices, then?" He himself was "worth" quite a bit to anyone who knew what they had their hands on. He didn't intend to make that easy.

The implications weren't that enormous to Rue. He had dinner dates with that kind of power, passed him in the hallway. And how many people can say they're consort to someone who was killed, their spirit trapped and replaced in another body, regrown, a perfect copy of their own. Thiede's power was staggering. He was more than they all were. And he had his paws in everything. Rue had once thought his life to be just a misfortune. A mistake made that forever trapped him. Now he thought he knew the truth. Thiede and his web.

Rue just sighed. "Price, perhaps. Or someone finally found a way to get rid of us. Or rather, me."

Rue gave a small smile. "Maybe they have a thing for blondes."

How exactly this person could be so nonchalant about this whole thing was staggering. There was no way under heaven he could truly be so dismissive of the situation. Something must be terribly, catastrophically wrong somewhere if that were the case. Aside from the obvious.

He stared for a moment, trying to figure something--anything--about the man, but he couldn't come up with anything. Not without illegally using Thoughtsensing.

"Perhaps they do. I cannot say."

Kidnapping under the disguise of what he thought was Thiede was one thing. Mess with the drapes in his rooms and he'd throw a tantrum like you'd never believe. Caeru's moods were legendary, and he took offense quiet often, although he knew how to disguise it. Politics.

Of course, Starwind's first mistake was assuming Rue was a man. And that was something he'd take offense at. In all honesty, Caeru couldn't decide if he wanted to spin and laugh at the sudden 'freedom' he was feeling, or scream angrily at the heavens for being removed from the palace. Knowing Rue, both would probably happen, at the same time.

"You don't want to favor a guess? I bet your fun at parties." Rue said mildly, scowling.

He only shrugged at that, turning to look again at the unfamiliar city surrounding them. He couldn't so much as name the place, let alone place it. He may not have left the Vale often, but at least he knew what lay outside it. At least, he'd thought so. If this was anywhere in the world, it was one he didn't know. Either way, the thought wasn't a happy one.

And what of the people behind him? What of Moondance and Brightstar? Surely they, if no one else, would notice his absence.

"When the Tayledras have them, I suppose. I am more usually called to other things."

"Well, to each their own I guess,"

Rue said, but make no mistake, he was judging you. But, at least where he was from, parties were political, each a move carefully judged, alliances made and broken. There were so many moving parts, especially with different tribes, different customs, each had to be catered too. Politics. His life was much easier when he was just performing on stage. As the vocalist of the Closets of Emily Child, his life had been better, happier. Unobstructed.

"And what other things are you usually called to?"

"The Tayledras are mages." That should have explained everything, but in a place like this, he wasn't even certain that the word would mean anything to anyone. But really, what else was he supposed to say? Too much gave away too many secrets.

"I have other duties beyond the Vale."
