Welcome to Medietas! Have an interest in joining the game? Maybe you have an old muse that you want to dust off? Or, maybe you're just looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting among friends? Well, whatever the reason, this is where you can do that!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You've just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon, via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, now that you've arrived and wandered around the starter home you've been given, it's time to check out the rest of the islands. There's a market on Aerilon that is full of treasures. Or, you can check out Chapter Six bookstore. Perhaps you wander over to the Mean Princess facility on Mulciber. There is so much to see!

3. Event: Teams are being put together to venture out deep into the islands of Eurus and Mulciber to track and destroy a vicious beast who has been the reason for the disappearances of several island locals. Please help stop the creature before anyone else goes missing!

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

     That sure stops him dead in his tracks. No one speaks Mando around here so far as he knows, although given Revan's familiarity with the, he suspects the former Jedi might know a little at the very least. But that voice that spoke just now...

     The commando spins around, scanning the crowds until both his eyes and his HUD pick out the familiar face. "General...?" She's a ways off, but not for long as he begins to move towards her. It's amazing how quickly a way is opened to him, given people usually clear out pretty fast when someone in armor moves towards you.

     Last he'd heard from here was on Kashyyyk. Now that he thinks about it, he has no idea what had happened to her after they'd all gone to take down the Separatist's ship. After they'd lost Sev...

     Swallowing, there's but a slight falter in his steps as he approaches the last few meters between them. He wants to compose himself before speaking up again, although belatedly he wonders that she'd probably pick up anything through the Force.

     "Fancy meeting you here, General. The long and short of things is that we're basically kidnapped and have no idea who, how or why."

Etain blinks at him for a moment, sorting through both the bits of his emotions she's catching and his words. "How the shab did someone manage to get the drop on you?"

Wait. Never mind that. "You're okay though, otherwise? Nothing happened?" she asks before her mouth tightens, remembering Kashyyyk. "Nothing more than what already did, I should say."

He doesn't need to be a Jedi to figure what she might have thought of just then. The telltale silence that follows makes it clear enough that it's still fresh in his mind, months as it's been for him here.

"...not just me, sir," Scorch finally replies, bluntly skimming over the latter questions. Is he okay? Would he ever be? "People from other worlds, other galaxies. There are even a couple of Jedi here that aren't from the same time as us."

Etain rubs at her face with one hand before it goes around to rub at the back of her neck instead. She could feel a headache coming on. "I'm beginning to think we should maybe find someplace else for this. I have the feeling this conversation is going to get complicated."

Oh yes, she's caught the lack of response about if Scorch was all right. She can press him on it later.

Scorch nods at her, looking around before he gestures away from the docks. "You have no idea. But there's only so much I can explain, and I've been here for about two months now."

He turns, expecting her to follow along as he leads the way through the crowds.

She nods as she follows him. Considering he's the one who isn't fresh off the boat, he's the one who knows where they're going. A brief interruption to have a map and some sort of technological device pressed on her by one of the greeters aside.

"Is this--is this paper?" Etain asks a little incredulously after pocketing the whatever and taking a closer look at the map, still following him. She was rapidly getting the feeling this place was far behind in technological development, considering they should have had at least flimiplast.

     There's a laugh at that, a genuine one. "Yeah, it is! Weird, huh? Really lo-tech around here. They don't even have speeders or holoscreens," he confirms.

     "Whoever snatched us was sure thoughtful at least. Everyone's assigned a room and a certain amount of the local currency to help you settle into things. There's also some kind of network, accessible by the devices we're provided. Kinda look like mini-datapads, but they're used as comm units."

     Scorch glances over his shoulder at her to see what she's doing. "We're on the central island- Aerilon. There's energy bridges between the others- probably the most technical thing I've seen out here. Although I haven't worked out how it gets you from one island to another in such a short time despite looking like you'd have to walk for miles."

"Just as well we're used to walking, isn't it?" Etain says with a shake of her head, folding the map and pocketing it for now. She can give it a more in-depth look when she's not walking. She would rather not walk into a streetlamp or Scorch's back if he came to a halt without her noticing. It would be embarrassing, to say the least.

Then Scorch keeps talking and her threatening headache starts to get worse. "Those bridges aren't going to mysteriously break down one day, are they?"

That's a completely reasonable concern that even Scorch has had. After all, the ones back home could be shut off and switched on, and as anything with power, it's always susceptible to possible interruption, whether technical or from physical damage.

"Who can say? If you're going to ask that you may as well ask what happens when these islands stop floating." Because he sure doesn't know the answer to that one either. Well, except for the obvious. He's fairly certain gravity otherwise functions the same here.

Etain contemplates the possibility of finding tihaar here. Depending on how things go, it might be worth trying it. "Is anything likely to make me think trying that drink Kal'buir uses to help him sleep is a good idea?"

It's not really something she thought she'd be asking. Of course, she hadn't thought she'd needed to worry about the ground quite literally falling out from under her.

Even though he hasn't been much one for offering encouragement these days, Scorch feels a little bad about Etain considering a trip to the bar so early on. Sure, he'd considered it too when he'd first arrived, but he'd spent a good bit of that day being overwhelmed.

"Not particularly, I think. I mean, outside of the obvious, there's nothing outright bad about the whole place. You'd probably have a better time at getting used to things here than I did."

It's not just this place, which he'll understand when they're able to talk in private. She's not about to announce she was dead for everyone to hear.

She gives him a somewhat brittle smile. "I'm sure I'll have plenty of time. So. Where are we going, exactly?"

     "There's a pub not too far from here. Not that I'm encouraging you to start drinking or anything, but we can sit and talk there."

     Her expression makes him flinch, and he's glad for the helmet he wears. While he figures if Etain wanted to, she could sense what he was feeling, Scorch still likes being able to keep his reactions to himself. There's a lot of things he wants to know, but at the same time he doesn't want to ask. Etain being here just makes that day come back to him in full. Everything had been going as planned, so why hadn't it been able to stay that way?

     He'd noted that the Jedi wasn't wearing her robes either. When had that happened?

     His hands wrap a little more tightly around his Deece as though it's a security blanket. And here he'd though the would feel better seeing a familiar face around. There's a lot he realizes he hadn't anticipated would come with it.

"I'm probably only going to pick at my food, at best. As a word of warning." A pub means other customers around. Not the best venue for the conversation they need to have, but at least it's not out on the street.

Scorch will get his answers soon enough. Not that he'll like them much.

"No one's forcing you to eat, General."

Giving his own growing anxiety, Scorch isn't sure he'd be able to stomach anything either. But being in a place full of people seems to be more preferable to being somewhere quiet and empty, at least to him.

"They'll probably want us to buy at least something instead of just taking up space," she points out.

They could just get something to share. Whatever the people here think were appropriate as appetizers. It'll get something in them and not be as much food as full meals.

"True," he conceded. Drinks, non-alcoholic, probably. And maybe something to snack on, he'd agree.

It was soon enough that the aforementioned pub came into view, and Scorch hauled the door open to let Etain in before he'd slip inside after. At least the place was cozier than a certain Hutt's.

Etain walks in, looking around the room to gauge the atmosphere. She rather agrees that it was better than it could have been.

After a quick glance to see if it was the sort of place where people had to wait to be seated or if they could just seat themselves, she beelines to a table in a corner that didn't have anyone sitting near it, leaving the outer seat for Scorch. Considering he was the one in full armor, he needed the space more than she did.

It's an arrangement Scorch doesn't object to. He settles right in, resting his DC-17m on the floor between his feet. His helmet comes off next, which he hooks over the Deece's stock.

Sighing, he sits back in his seat as he looks across at Etain. Well, now that they're here and all, he's not really sure what to do or ask next.

Etain was working out where to start with the waitress stops by to drop off menus and take their drink orders. Unsure what to ask for, Etain just asks for tea. She thinks it should be reasonably safe. If she doesn't like it, well, there's always adding sweetener to see if that helps.

She leafs through the menu to see what he has in order to give Scorch time to choose his own drink. When the waitress is gone, she speaks up again. "Is there anything here you recommend?"

The commando requests a glass of water for the time being, taking up the menu as it's something to distract himself with. He glances over the top at the Jedi, his lips quirking slightly.

"Most everything's identifiable, if that's what you're worried about," he says. "Well, save for the fact that the names are mostly foreign. The potato wedge things are pretty good. And they have a nice thick stew with actual meat and vegetables."

"Good to not need to navigate completely unidentifiable food," Etain says with a faint smile, looking at the menu some more before setting it aside and folding her hands on the surface of the table. "We can go with the potato wedges, if you want."

The stew probably isn't the best thing to have right now. At least the smell of meat stopped turning her stomach awhile back.

Those sound like a fair choice, so Scorch nods, and once their drinks are served, he'll make the request for the potato wedges. Setting the menu aside, he absently drums his fingers on the table before reaching for his glass of water.

"...so..." he finally says after an awkward pause.

Etain takes a sip of her tea, before taking another to decide if she likes it before setting it back down. "I suppose I should start off with that it's just Etain now, not General. I sent my resignation from the Order after leaving Kashyyyk."

It isn't the fact that Etain resigned from the Order that seems to have surprised him. "You left? I...guess I hadn't heard about that. Or you must have come some time after I last remember..." Scorch says carefully. Etain's position had been the least thing on his mind at that time. Delta Squad, or what had been left of it, was being flown off to pave the way for the arrival of the Republic's forces, by direct order of General Yoda. When and how Etain had gotten off world at that point was lost to him, but he couldn't help but feel a little betrayed.

She'd been the general they'd been working with at the time. Couldn't she have said something about going after Sev? As much as Scorch knows it isn't likely, another part of him insists there could have been. But there's always something, in his mind. If this, or what if that. Nothing that would do any good now, and it eats at him every time he lets those thoughts slip in.
