It was a funny thing knowing when you're about to die. Standing on the edge of the boat she now found herself on, Anna considered what she figured had been her final moments before Michael showed up to stop her from her task. She had thought she was right, justified even, in her decisions. The one she had made about killing Sam Winchester hadn't been an easy decision to make, especially not with knowing how it would affect Dean, but it was easy when compared to what it would accomplish. Killing Sam would have saved the world but now they were all damned. All because her brother wanted to follow his fate.
Closing her eyes, she replayed the last few seconds before Michael placed his hand on her. She wanted to believe that she had seen a hint of regret in his eyes before he had done so but she knew better. Michael would barely bat an eyelash when it came to killing her. It wasn't a particularly stunning realization but there was still an ache in the center of her chest as she thought about it.
Opening her eyes, she looked at the lands before her as the ship drew to a stop at the docks. She had no idea where she was but she suspected it wasn't Heaven. It certainly didn't look like Hell either. No, she was sure Lucifer would be there to taunt her if it was Hell. Or maybe torture her for being another Fallen but evading becoming a demon by regaining her Grace.
Moving forward, she walked down the steps onto the docks and paused again as she noticed people handing out maps as well as a phone like device. She frowned because it was unusual. Why would she need these things in whatever afterlife this was? Still, she retrieved the items and then moved on without asking what was going on. It wasn't like she would trust whatever they had to say. No, she was resourceful. She would figure this out on her own.
