There is not always something wrong with bluntness, and Roshanak takes no offence. It's the same sentiment no matter if she'd couched it in softer words.

"I am indeed capable," is what she chooses to answer. "I have studied spells and enchantments for a number of years. So, really, if I could not, then my mother would be terribly disappointed in me."

Parvin is not. She often does not know what to make of her wayward eldest daughter, but centaurs have always valued learning and Roshanak excels at it.

"Maybe I do need to get used to the idea that to others, people like me are only stories," Roshanak concedes. "But there are certainly many startling things in the wide collection of universes."
