Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"Yes, child, I am the son of Odin," Thor said, giving her a smile. It was difficult to be happy when he was as frustrated as he was in this place but he had to try. It wouldn't do to alienate everyone in this foreign place.

"You know of Asgard, then?"

"Of course," she replied. "It's where the Aesir live. And the rainbow bridge connects it to Midgard," Sinthia said--as if this was the most normal thing in the world, it being simply how things were for her.

"I have a necklace of Mjollnir, I know all the stories." She digs it out on the thin steel chain looped around her neck, and sure enough it's stylized but it does resemble a hammer covered in runes.

Thor smiled a bit to see the emblem of mjolnir as a talisman around her neck. Surely anyone who wore such a thing would be a friend of Asgard.

"Well, it seems that you know me but I do not know you. What is your name?"

"My name is Sinthia," she answered; she habitually left off her surname, or had learned to here, out of not wanting to upset everyone who knew what it meant.

"I only know about you. The stories that have survived don't tell a lot about what you think, only what you've done or said." Sinthia shrugged lightly. "You are big enough, though."

"It has been said that even a short Asgardian is a tall Midgardian," Thor said, chuckling a little. He had always been very tall for even a man of Asgard and he wasn't surprised the girl thought he was.

"Our bodies are somewhat different than yours. So, what have you heard about me other than my size?"

"You have the mastery of lightning, and I know about some of the things you've done. Like fishing for Jormundgandr."

She found that one funnier than the crossdressing wedding one.

"I can call the storm, yes," Thor said, laughing softly. "Would you like to see it? I could do it here and now."

It was one of the things he liked most about being from Asgard, truth be told, because it made him feel like he had power in a place where, truthfully, he had very little.

She smiled a little at that and nodded; her expression is gentle, not very extreme in any one emotion. "I would. I want to see that."

Then she can show him what she does.

Thor lifted Mjolnir to the sky and brought down lightning, though at a safe distance away from him and the girl; he hardly wanted to injure her.

"See? Right out of a clear sky."

Sinthia seemed entranced by the lightning, staring with her hand still clasped around her necklace. It was an amazing thing to watch, made all the better because this was really Thor, one of the beings she'd heard about for so long.

"Oh," she breathed, and though her smile dimmed the light hadn't left her face. "Do you want to see what I can do?" Sinthia asked, as if nothing out of the ordinary would happen: she didn't like to demonstrate the telepathy without cause, or at least in the absence of extreme curiosity. But the other three were much easier.

"I would love to see what you can do, child," Thor said gently. He had always loved the mortal races and especially children; they were full of wonder and hadn't been jaded by life just yet.

"What are you capable of?"

"Many things," she answered. "I can lift most things with telekinesis, and walk through solid walls. And I can teleport to anywhere."

She closed her eyes and took a breath, and vanished entirely from view, reappearing seven feet to her left. Sinthia wasn't hurt by it, and seemed happy that she had pulled it off, lifting herself into the air to come back closer, though it was shaky going and she wasn't nearly as good at lifting herself or others as she was at doing it to objects.

"I can read minds, but it's...strange. I don't like to. Normally."

"I can imagine sometimes you hear things you don't wish to hear," Thor said, watching as she blinked away for a moment and came back. It was an interesting talent, to be sure.

"I wouldn't want to hear the thoughts of others. My own are plenty."

"Sometimes," she says evenly, nodding. "If it's something strong, or if I don't think about it and I open up myself. Then I hear all kinds of things, or see them. Thoughts aren't always words, not for everybody. They can be pictures or senses." She's gotten sick, physically ill, from the dissonance in what's real and what's in someone else's head if she's slipped control and not paid attention to which part her body is telling her is corporeal.

"I'm better at it than I was at first." When she'd first gotten the abilities any contact had been the cause of extremely painful headaches, and she could easily lose herself in someone else's mind.

"It's difficult to learn how to wield your talents," Thor said. He had experienced that for himself, after all, and had only truly grown once they'd been stripped from him on Midgard long ago.

"You will get better at it as you grow. I know that from experience."
