Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

How To Play:

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"I'm pretty sure we're not in Midgard anymore." Not that she knows where Midgard is. But she does know that no one she's talked to here has ever heard of this place before, or has any idea where it is.

"Besides, power and authority are two different things."

Thor was aware of the difference between power and authority and had, in fact, learned that difference in a very hard way. Still, he didn't necessarily like to hear of it from someone he did not know in a place that he did not recognize so his only response was a snort of derision.

"And who is the authority in this place?"

"The king and queen." She doesn't know if they're the ones responsible for bringing them here, in fact she'd guess that they're not, from what happened at the ball. But they are the ones who are in charge, or at least so it seems.

"Any kids they have probably don't have to work, but the rest of us do."

"I should petition them, then, and try to secure my release from this place." Thor hadn't always been known for his skill in negotiation and likely still wasn't but he had become more...diplomatic with age. It was something that had proven useful even if his natural tendency was toward diplomacy with a hammer.

"Do they hear petitions?"

"I think so, but I don't think they could help you there. They didn't seem to know any more about how we all ended up here than any of us who were pulled here did." They'd probably be sympathetic to his request though, at least. "You're stuck here for awhile."

"It would not be the first time," Thor said. Still, unlike the time when he was grounded on Midgard, Thor had no context as to why he was stuck in this place and what the masters of it intended for him. This was no punishment from his father. This was something else.

"How long have you been here, then?"

"You're not the first that's happened to either." Obviously everyone is stuck here now, but others have been stuck in other places, from what she's heard.

"It's been about seven months now."

Seven months? Thor couldn't imagine being confined to one realm, especially one so small as this one, for seven entire months. And yet, he had no reason to believe this woman lied to him. Her countenance seemed to demonstrate that she was honest and plain-spoken; she had been nothing but helpful in his quest for knowledge.

"And in that time, not one person has been able to return to their home world?"

"Not intentionally. Every so often someone is sent home though." She has to believe that it wasn't intentional that Neal left her (again) to go back home, and that if he'd known of a way, he would have told her about it, and warned her that he was leaving. "No one is sure how that happens either."

Thor wanted to discover the secret of how that happened, of how one could go back home. He had things that needed to be attended to both in Asgard and on Midgard and was unable to do so if he was stuck here. It was something to reflect upon later.

"Are there scientists here, those that have studied it?"

"I don't know. Maybe." She hasn't heard about it if there is, but that doesn't mean anything. She thinks that she probably should know, given how hard she's fought to get home from other places. It didn't matter so much when Neal was here, and Henry, but now they're not here and she's alone again.

"You could ask around."

"I assume you are not one?" Thor had met many prominent female scientists on Midgard so perhaps it was a fallacious assumption to believe this woman was one too; he had just been hopeful that he'd found someone who was exploring the hows and whys of this place.

"I had hoped you might be."

"I'm not a scientist." She never even finished high school. No one would hire her as a scientist, even if she wanted to be one. "I'm a detective on the police force."

"So you have investigated this place? Have you found anything of note?"

If this woman had investigated these islands, it was a good possibility that she knew much more about the place than he could hope to glean in just a few weeks.

"I know that not everyone is from..." What had he called it? "Midgard. Also that no one seems to have found a way to leave yet. I know for a fact that the natives -- or at least those with some sort of official duties -- knew that we were coming, and that we started arriving earlier than expected."

That was more information than he had previously and now that he knew there were some who had been here and prepared for them, he would be talking to them to get more information.

"I will question them, then, until I get answers to my satisfaction."

"I don't think they'll be able to give you much more than that. There are a lot of us stuck in this same situation, and if anyone knew a way to leave, word would get out about it." There had seemed to be a lot of upset people when all of this started happening.

"I can imagine there are many who do not wish to remain here," Thor said, nodding once in agreement.

"I am among their number, I'm afraid. Perhaps I can find a way home that has not been explored yet?"
