Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Debbie might have occurred, had the nymph not been concentrating so very hard on climbing over the language barrier. Having a 'V' sound in her native tongue helps immensely, and the red-haired dryade looks delighted at both the confirmation of her pronunciation, and Devi's own attempt at Eurydice's name. She has it much closer on the second try.

"Yes!" she laughs. "We are now known to one another. You are Devi and I am Eurydice, and we are both lost in this place."

Greek is the language of the gods. It can't be anything but gorgeous, not that the nymph is at all comprehensive of Devi's words. The meaning is there in her tone, though, and she's pleased to have made a friend.

Another gesture at the purple-haired girl (a nymph is a poor judge of age, appearing mostly ageless once she has passed her adolescence; Eurydice had lived roughly eighteen summers) is followed by a sweeping motion of their surrounds and the dock, and a helpless expression is added to it.

"Do you know where we are or how we got here? I was not on the boat they say I was."

Eurydice's sheer brightness about it all was oddly infectious, especially without context, pulling Devi's smile broader and taking a few years off her already young face. She was only 22 but the serious, adult air she drew around herself with the apathy that protected her against the oddness of her world made her seem older to people who gauged it.

Devi glanced around at the gesture, taking in the helpless look and the lift in tone that indicated a question and shook her head.

"I have no idea what's going on. I think I might be going crazy, personally but.." That didn't solve things. Admitting it to someone who didn't understand was alright though. "Maybe.."

Maybe the map held some clues. A legend, a world name, something. It was pulled out of her backpack and Devi tucked her pen behind her ear so she could uncrumple it and look it over. She glanced up at Eurydice and lifted the map a little.

"You got one of these too, right?

A new friend, though one she can't understand, and already one she's managed to make smile. Eurydice considers this a success - more so when her usual method of making friends is far more personal in nature. But she's had a terrible day as far as her memory tells her. She's not at all certain of how much time has passed since she died in Orpheus's arms and when Charon's boat led her here, but she'll call it yesterday because the gods have not told her otherwise. That sense of loss and her own certainty that she either is or was dead has subdued the more primal part of her nature, and left her with only her sweet mannerisms to get by.

Devi is obviously accomplished at understanding things that are not spoken, because the nymph knows she's responding to her question even with their unmatched tongues.

Hazel eyes widen at the crumpled papyrus, and the question.

"I was given papyrus, too," she enthuses, holding hers up as she bends with a dancer's grace to collect the communication device and offer it for inspection. "But I do not know what this is. It is not heavy enough to be stone."

As a nature deity, she is utterly illiterate, but she is not unintelligent. Once she realises what the map is, things will be much better.
