Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!
3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Re: Devi D | I Feel Sick
And Harry? Well, he was grinning at this new arrival.
"It's annoying, interruptingly irritating, and quite exasperating, but here we are."
no subject
Sure, of course it was hovering, why not.
Devi frowned a little.
"I'm sorry. Did you say 'kidnapping'?" Was the the idea Sickness was going with? All the better to trap her in her coma nightmare?
no subject
"So far, no efforts to go home have been successful."
no subject
Pushing to her feet, she shoved the communicator into the backpack and stood up.
"Hover bike is a really cool effect, so A+ for effort on that." With all the animation she put in her tone, she could be talking about the dullest sport in the world. Golf.
no subject
He let the bike sink to the ground and stared at her. "So what do your delusions usually tell you?"
no subject
"Especially with that 'Powers that be' shit. The only 'Powers that be' turned out to be a bullshit doll." She glanced around, before looking back at him. "Is there a noodle shop?"
There was the possibility of this situation having it's perks.
no subject
"Sorry, but there are most definitely Powers that be, pretty much in every universe."
He grinned. "There is a shop that sells awesome noodles, and other things too. Care to go see?"
no subject
"Sure, if I can get something for four bucks and-" With a quick fishing in her pocket, Devi withdrew a few coins, a bottle cap and a crumpled receipt. "Thirty five cents. Unless they've got some 'crazy tab' offer."
no subject
"I'll spot you today until you get to your house. The island spots you a little cash, until you get a job here." He nodded as he waved a hand.
no subject
"But thanks." No, she didn't really want to argue the reality or delusion that was Faith or 'God' or whatever you wanted to call it. The hand wave seen and openly noticed, but she wasn't sure what it meant.
"Are you.. telling me to get on?" She eyed his bike like it was a Deception. Probably with pincers.
no subject
"Hmmm? No. Sorry. Was thinking out loud. I meant to say, shall we go? I can lead you to the place with the noodles. Or guide you to your house, if you like, depending on which one they assigned you." he chuckled. "Sometimes, my hands get ahead of my brains."
no subject
"What did you say your name was?"
no subject
He snerked.
"Maybe not a 401K. And no murder suicide pacts. That would be silly." He shook his head.
"I didn't. People call me Harry."
no subject
"Hard to find good help anywhere, isn't it... I'm Devi. I'd say it was nice to meet you but since I can't be sure you're really there.." She'll save that for another time. "So what kind of jobs then, if not retail and Corporate hell? Chasing faeries?"
This place looked like the kind of place that might have them.
no subject
He grinned again. "It takes time to learn things, but... yeah."
no subject
"I'm a fast learner." He could lead the way whenever he was ready, she'd fall into step beside him with her black, half tied, paint splattered boots. "Lemme guess, you've just got one of those 'delusion' type faces, right?" It was a joke. "Do people tend to be assholes to what they think their own heads have cooked up? Seems counter productive, to me."
no subject
He led the way down the road. "I'm not a subtle wizard, but I'm also not quick to anger, at least." And he nodded. "And yeah, sometimes people can be very much assholes."
no subject
It took her a second and a brief jog to catch up to him again, choosing to not even acknowledge the oddity - This was going to take some getting used to.
"Wizard," she echoed, rolling that over in her head. "I thought all you guys had wispy beards and shit.. Harry the Wizard.."
She wasn't sure how she felt about that - the name, specifically. It needed work.
no subject
"Yep. I'm in the phonebook, even." He had followed his alternate future self's idea in that, because it seemed like a good idea to him, in a way. For what he was doing, anyway.
"Just call me Harry, please. And sure, some do. I hate beards though. They're itchy."
He grinned over at her, then looked ahead again.
no subject
She only really noticed how tall he was once she was beside him, and he was given a sidelong, if slightly craning look. They must grow them big, wherever he's from.
"I'm Devi."
no subject
"Nice to meet you, Devi. I like that name. Sounds cool."
no subject
She wasn't sure if she should believe that or not and glanced behind them warily. If her world had taught her one thing, it was that no matter how outlandish something sounded, there was a 60% chance it could happen or be real.
"I wish I could say the same, except I still have no idea what I'm doing here. If this isn't some coma induced mental coping mechanism.... Where the fuck am I?"
no subject
"Well, as far as I can tell, you, and I, are in a realm on another planet, on floating islands. No one knows why we were brought here, or what is going on, but the natives agreed to allows us to live in houses and get jobs here. Apparently, whatever caused them to be like this and have no other natives here was fairly recent."
He sighed. "I've tried everything I can think of, so far, to get out of here, and nothing has worked. So far as I can tell, something or someone must need something, and they aren't talking, Yet."
no subject
Listening attentively, Devi frowned gently at the explanation, eyeing the passing natives with a blatant but wary curiosity.
"What do you mean, caused them to be floating? Anyone seen what is off the edge of the islands then? Who's in charge of this place?"
Answers, she was pretty sure she knew how to get them. Of course, she didn't, but there were humps to be overcome here and that started with understanding.
no subject
"No, the field surrounding the islands is opaque, and can't be approached without nausea, then loss of consciousness, and waking up, once more, in the house you were assigned." He chuckled.
"The King and Queen of Medietas seem to be in charge of the actual city, but they haven't let on who did this, if they even know." He nodded again.
