Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!
3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Nico di Angelo | Percy Jackson etc etc | op 3/4
He coughs and pushes the sign-up sheet to the edge of the table while eyeing the door. ]
HI NICO
Wow. It looks great in here.
HI ANNABETH
[ Nico's voice (and desperation for approval) was almost childlike there. He coughs again, gathers himself together, fiddles with a few spare Mythomagic figurines he's laid out on the signup desk. ]
I mean, thanks. Honestly, I'm a year or two behind on the rules -- I wish Frank were here -- but I looked it all up and I think I can still be a good judge.
HOW'S THINGS
NOT BAD YOU?
He shakes it off quickly. As if he would dare desecrate the integrity of a Mythomagic tournament.
(He probably will.) ]
Thanks, I think. Do you think I should have left it longer before organising a tournament? Spent longer on the regular league stuff, teaching people the rules?
[ Nico ... shhhhhhhhh.
He quietly grabs one of the snacks Annabeth brought. ]
NOT BAD, NOT BAD. EXCEPT FOR, YOU KNOW, THE WHOLE ABDUCTION THING
oh yeah that stuff
No one can learn this game in theory. You have to play it. Yeah, this is just a fun tourney anyway.
Dumb stuff

[ He nods. This is supposed to mean something. ]
I'm ... just here to teach.

[ You're a gods-damned temptress, Annabeth Chase. ]
A little, [ Nico admits. He knows he'll end up playing to make up the numbers, after all, and he won't go easy on his opponents. ]
I'm just trying to promote the game.
[ Too late, di Angelo. ]

I'm not saying it's a bad thing. You are the best.

Re: Nico di Angelo | Percy Jackson etc etc | op 3/4
From out of his pocket, a tiny-rat like head poked out. Rat-like because most rats aren't missing part of their face and have beady glowing red eyes. It scrambled out of the pocket and onto the table, revealing even more missing bits - though a bit lively despite all of that. Actually quite a bit lively despite... not being alive.
Theo himself, wearing a pair of sunglasses despite being inside, gave off the vague feeling of having walked on Nico's grave.

He glances up at the man, blinks, swallows, and manages, "Hi.
"Uh, hi. You want to take part in the Mythomagic tournament?"
no subject
"Hey. I'm just looking. A friend of mine would be really interested in this sort of thing."
Hey Boyfriend!
"Hey, don't worry, people have plenty of time to get here. It's going to be great." Because he knows you Nico. Will set down the sodas on a nearby table.
HELLO FELLOW BOYFRIEND
"Yeah. Yeah, probably. But-- what if no one comes?"
Re: HELLO FELLOW BOYFRIEND
"Then you're going to have to teach me how to play."
no subject
"I hope it doesn't come to that. I mean, it's kinda lame. By 'kinda' I mean 'totally'."
(He has all of his old cards and figurines in a duffle bag under the registration table, along with some from the newer sets.)

And of course Nico got the worst thing in the bag. Will grabbed a bottle of water, and unsealed it with a twist. He peaked under the table at the duffle, wondering if Nico had the Hades figurine too, or if he left that one at home. For...obvious reasons.

SOLEMN FACE.

"I'm sorry I didn't quite hear you. Can you say that first part again?"
no subject
Nico suddenly realises what Will means and stops.
Did he say...? He did.
Nico swallows, blinks and says, "I said, 'oh sure'."
Work for it, Will.
no subject
"Really?" He leaned in closer. " And after that? I could have sworn you said 'boyfriend'. My mistake."
no subject
"I might have ... used a certain word."
Is it too soon? He's not sure if it's too soon. He's guessing, by the leaning and grinning and lack of running away that it's probably not too soon, but Nico doesn't exactly have a lot of experience in the whole boyfriend arena.
He sighs, then half-smiles and leans into Will in return. "So you wanna learn Mythomagic?"
