Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

For a moment he looked shocked--a brilliant display of emotion, really, that he typically kept to himself. Technically... yes, he could talk that way. He didn't like to (the only one he'd done that with was Magnus), but he didn't have to. This definitely qualified as an emergency. It would be infinitely easier, at the least, so he dropped his hands.

He almost apologized, even, but didn't. He hadn't done anything he should have been sorry for, but old habits and all.

Yes. What's going on? Where is this?

She gave him a brilliant smile, relieved that they could communicate. *Oh, thank the darkness. I'm not sure what's going on either. I can't catch the winds, I can't reach my court...*

Oh.... maybe she shouldn't have mentioned that. No, this couldn't possibly be Terrielle. She had to be safe here. Right? Still, felt odd to be completely alone. She hadn't been in a strange place without at least Ranon or Grey for over a year now. No Vae. That was what was really odd. Vae was pretty much always underfoot since they moved out of Greyhaven...

"Thank the darkness?" That sounded ominous, but really what other choice did he have? She hadn't murdered him horribly yet, so at least there was that going for her. And she seemed just as terrified as he was. As much as he wanted to ask questions about catching winds and finding courts, there were other, more pressing issues he needed to take care of.

Like finding out where he was. And where his friends were.

He pulled the phone back out of his pocket and looked at it for a moment before he held it out to show her.

They gave me this but I don't know why. I couldn't understand them.

She shook her head. *They gave me one too. I have no clue what it is or what to do with it, though." She held out a hand like she was holding the phone, and it appeared. "I figured I would ask Shira to see if it was safe before I tried to figure it out.*

Black Widows had a stronger instinct, after all, and she and Ranon both had stronger shields than Cassidy. And if Cassie got herself killed, they'd find her, and kill her all over again for taking the risk. Which was nothing against what Lucivar or the High Lord would do to her, if she made her way to the Dark Realm while her people needed her.

That wasn't a name he knew, but he wasn't truly surprised by that. If "Shira" might know something, he might have to figure out who that was pretty quickly. He'd worry about how he was going to communicate with them when he got there.

He frowned as he continued to think about it, though. He only kept getting more and more questions, and no answers seemed to be coming.

I don't know why they gave it to us.

*I don't know either,* she sent with a sigh, vanishing it again, letting her empty hand fall. *I don't even know what realm this is.*

It doesn't look like Midgard. Or even Alfheim, but he hadn't been back there in so long that it could have looked exactly like this and he wouldn't know.

*I'm.... not sure what territory that is.*

[dealf]

That wasn't even surprising, really, but most people at least knew the name.

It's Earth. One of the Nine Realms.

Sorry for the mild swear, it is a common word as well as a place name, for her people.

*Nine...? There are three. Terrielle, Kaleer, and Hell.*

He just shrugged at that. They're all right. It depends who you ask. There are nine I know of. Midgard, Asgard, Hel, Nidavellir, Jotunheim, Muspellheim, Vanaheim, Svartalfheim, and Alfheim.

*I recognized one of those,* she said flatly. *Though I hear it is far emptier, and far warmer these days....*

I've never been there. With any luck he'd never end up there, but it was hard to say, what with Magnus' adventures going the way they were.

It's...not a good place to be.

*Well, I mean... I wouldn't want to be there because I died, but I'm sure if I wound up there by accident, Saetan would be willing to help me get back home.* And murder whoever was responsible for sending her there in the first place, but she preferred not to think about that, really.

I don't think Hel herself is that nice.

"Who?" she asked. confused.

Sorry, Hel is a goddess too. He really should have known to clarify that.

*What... is a Goddess?* asked the woman who just spoke of Saetan as if he was someone she knew well enough to count on his aid...

That trips him up. Gods and goddesses were a given where he was from and trying to explain them was...tricky. At best. Where was he even supposed to start?

They're...powerful beings. Usually in myths. They create the worlds or watch over people or...something similar. There are a lot of them.

She almost thought he meant Witch, until he said that they create the worlds.... she presumed he meant realms? Maybe? *Dragons....?* That was as far back as her knowledge went. Did the Dragons create the realms, or just the Blood?

No. Those are different. He's not even sure where she would have gotten dragons out of that, but maybe their worlds really were that different. They usually look like people. Mostly.

So wishing she knew about Draca... lol

Cassie took a deep breath and considered. *Would knowing help us get home sooner, potentially?*

I don't know. Probably not. Knowing what they were wasn't as important as knowing they existed. It depends.
