Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon!

3. Event: The Faire's in town! Feast, socialize, dance, play games! There's plenty to do and the grounds on Mundus are packed with festivities for all to enjoy.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Alric smiled to himself, eyebrows raised slightly.

"Insofar as anything can truly be explained. I mean to say that it's often comforting to be introduced calmly and gradually to our circumstances, here, rather than left to sink or swim, so to speak. But, yes, I understand; the last two years, I've been traveling a great deal, myself. I was on my way home, when I arrived here."

"I came on the boats just a few days ago," Thor confirmed. He hadn't seen anyone he recognized and had simply decided to do as he was bidden and try to adapt. It hadn't gone as well as he'd hoped it would.

"Now that you are here, though, I have something to look forward to."

Thor was aware of the difference between power and authority and had, in fact, learned that difference in a very hard way. Still, he didn't necessarily like to hear of it from someone he did not know in a place that he did not recognize so his only response was a snort of derision.

"And who is the authority in this place?"

Thor snorted a bit and tossed his head. While Bruce had a point and that point may have been a good one, he wasn't exactly in the mood for logic. He would prefer, instead, to complain for a little while before going to seek employment once more.

"It seems this world is not equipped to employ me in a manner which I find acceptable."

"I shouldn't have to have one. I am perfectly employed in Midgard." Being a member of the Avengers did come with a stipend, something that Thor appreciated. It meant he got to do what he wanted and be paid for it in the Midgard fashion.

Here, however, there seemed to be no need for the Avengers.

"It is not my role as the son of a king that makes it difficult to work here," Thor said, giving the man a wary look. His natural tendency was to be a bit annoyed since his temper was in a storm but he tried to take a step back and accept help as it was offered.

"It is my role as a warrior that makes the task so difficult."

"Is going into business for yourself an option? Its one I'm starting to consider." Violet offered. The idea had intrigued her since it meant not having to trust anyone but herself. "And pardon what will sound as the worst question but what is Midgard?" ever polite in spite of not trusting anyone.

"So gears over computer chips." She nodded her head. It was probably ironic that Freya could fix a car but not drive one. She'd always been interested in building machines and even now carried two textbooks in her backpack. She had the concepts inside of the books almost memorized and being a little bit of a loser has tried to build ridiculous things like a grappling hook from scratch.

"Yeah but I'd rather fix cars. I bet I could build a regular bike you could drive." She thought about it for a moment.

"Though I have no magic so it wouldn't top this and it'd be a torsion motor so you'd have to have magnets or wind it because you can set torque motors to wind themselves without magnets but as long as they are running they'll keep going. Those are also DC motors and marketing has mostly gone to AC." She paused realizing she'd been going on.

"Sorry, sometimes I don't stop talking."

"Actually, yes, and no. Even with this, it wouldn't work, save for the magic. Sometimes even dumb mechanical things break down around me. Not as much these days, but it still happens sometimes. MY world's magic is... not happy with science. Kind of a competing science, I think."

He nodded.

"I don't mind. Your talking is kind of cool."

"Mmmm, I was traveling. Still am." She rolled her shoulders in a shrug. "So this is just another place to be."

Freya didn't have attachments to people. Everyone she'd ever loved had died or been pushed into the recesses of her memory. It didn't matter where she was as long as she was far from home. Looking at things now, she couldn't be further away.

"Why were you traveling?"

"Kinda cool? I have the technical know how of someone from the 80's." She shook her head before pressing her cheek against Harry's back. He's too tall and it's hard to keep trying to look over his shoulder.

"So even gears wouldn't work? Or basic pullies?"

Sorry Harry but that sounded like it really sucked. Not that Freya spent a lot of time around technology, it was too expensive and she never held a full-time job, but she at least knew how to use the tech of the 20th century. Sometimes she wished she had a laptop, if only to use google. Then again, she would spend to much time on wiki. Wiki is dangerous.

Alric nodded courteously with another raise of his eyebrows, his smile just as polite despite that look, pointedly unruffled.

"Ah- I beg your pardon for my ignorance, then, Your Highness. I certainly meant no offense--only to reassure you that others have had such difficulties, as well."

He pauses a moment, giving Thor a contemplative look.

"Perhaps a more... active occupation would suit you better. For example: there are a number of guests, such as ourselves, beginning to settle down--there may therefore be demand for work in construction. Not the same as soldiering, certainly, but I can assuredly sympathize with the need to remain active."

I can carry those samples for you?

[She falls in step behind the other woman easily. There is nothing super human about Alice but she's spent a great deal of time traveling and has the form to prove it.]

My father. He'd been a field researcher and I knew when I was very young I wanted to study the earth. I selected mineralogy in my Junior year. It spoke to me in a way that other disciplines didn't.

[Violet was not going to trust anyone from the welcome wagon but accepted the device, making plans to find a second one just to take apart and unravel. But she saw the boy who reminded her so much of Klaus and decided to make a random observation.]

How much coffee has the so called "welcome wagon" had? [As Violet made air quotes she was scanning the islands for any signs this was a Count Olaf trap. Even now she was not taking any chances he would show up from beyond to simply ruin her and her family.]

Jane blushed and giggled a bit. She had a slight idea of what he would be looking forward to.

"Where did they put you? Housing I mean. Everyone who arrives here gets a house. It's a bit odd, to have neighborhoods of empty houses."

[Henry nodded, taking it all in.] What about the other islands?

[Though at her question, he chuckled slightly.] The same reason you hadn't seen me for a while. I was stuck elsewhere without any way of getting back to Storybrooke.

[Henry turned and noticed the woman a few years older than him. The question made him chuckle and he grinned.]

Too much by the look it. Never seen anyone so happy.

Way too perky indeed, they must have a 3 to 7 cup a day habit just from my observations. [Violet was making fast and furious mental notes as she spoke, wishing for her notebooks to be around more than usual. But she does risk mentioning her brother in case anyone knew her family.] And this will sound crazy but you remind me so much of my brother Klaus, can't explain it however.

[Henry laughed again.] Yeah. I'd be tempted to spy on them for perhaps see what they're like without it.

[Her observation was an interesting one.] Really? I hope that's a compliment. [Crazy for some people was normal for Henry so he didn't comment on that.]

You and me both! [Violet actually smiles.]

It is, you just remind me a lot of Klaus but in all the good senses of that word. [Violet is trying to explain but at the same time she does miss him more than usual, Klaus was more like a best friend and partner in arms as well as her younger brother.]

"Very cool?" Harry grinned, and hmmmed as she pressed close, doing his best to ignore that. "Sometimes, yeah. Most of the time, these days, my magic has foiled the hex field. But it still slips through sometimes."

Harry smiled as he sent them zooming a little faster over some buildings in the main area, and streaming across the top of the castle, annoyed that he could not see down into it. "Somewhere, in there, the King and Queen live, and possibly know what the heck is going on."

"Sorta cool." She'd agree on that compromise.

When they fly over the castle Freya shifts to try and look down. She wasn't able to see anything either though her curiosity was peeked. "You haven't seen them? Maybe they don't know anything either?"

She really couldn't say.

"They apparently had an open house once, before I got here, but not since then, and as far as anyone else has said, no, they seem not to."

He sighed as he pointed the bike more directly toward the n ext island over, crossing the space between islands once more and glancing down. He always did.

Then they were on the next island, and he was touching down, letting the bike ride along the path that ran around the houses.

When they were over nothing Freya's grip would tighten around Harry. Most falls to the ground, even a mile up in the air, she'd live through. Falling off a space between floating islands was something that she didn't want to talk about.

"Sounds like their lives suck right now." Having a lot of weird people show up and demand answers. It didn't sound like a fun time though they were nice enough to open the doors once.

"Probably. They're still being sports, helping us out, letting us live in vacant houses, even helping us with a stipend at first, so we have time to get jobs. Hell, even just letting us get work here is risky, really, so, yeah. The King and Queen probably are nice people. Just with a lot of secrets, or trying to hide they don't know the answers either."

He chuckled. "Which I can understand, really."

He slowed and pulled up short in front of a brownish house. "Welcome to the humble abode." He slid off, then offered her a hand.

"Shall we?"
