Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!
3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Kara Danvers | Supergirl
The first thing she notices is a throbbing in her temples that she doesn't understand, and that doesn't go away even when she rubs it with the heel of her hand. It's a strange, aching pressure, like someone put her head in a vise and is slowl – oh.
Oh.
It's a headache. She hasn't had a headache in forever. What do you do for a headache, anyway? She has faint memories of pill bottles in Mom's medicine cabinet, but it's not like she carries Advil around with her, and where...exactly is she, anyway?
On a boat. She was definitely not on a boat a few minutes ago. She was getting Ms. Grant's latte, and checking her email, and –
A quick intake of breath, and a distressed yelp. "Oh, no!"
Ms. Grant's latte is ice cold. Worse, it's not even in National City.
And neither is Kara.
Re: Kara Danvers | Supergirl
Why? Because these newbies are always interesting. Maybe this new blondie will have something interesting for him too.
So he leaps up on a shipping crate and sits, waiting for her to decide how she wants to approach the lion kid looking over her.
Re: Kara Danvers | Supergirl
Still. "Ohmigosh!"
A few steps closer, and her surprise has skewed closer to delight. It has also made her glasses come loose, and she nudges them back up her nose without noticing. "You've got clothes!"
Obvious, maybe, but it's a step in the right direction.

"Sometimes feel like runnin' around in nothin but my fur coat but pretty sure someone'll yell at me." Because that's fun. An animal being yelled at for being naked. Funny.
"So what else is new, sides bein' kidnapped?"
no subject
Kara's eyes get wider, but she pushes her lips together before she bursts out with something that might embarrass him. Them? It? "I guess people can get pretty unhappy about that sort of thing," she says, instead, nodding emphatically. "Running around naked. Not that I've ever – I mean, no one's ever yelled at me for – um –"
Outstanding.
He offers a ledge for her to climb back up on (verbally speaking), and she jumps on it (metaphorically speaking) with a wide, uncertain smile that seems wholly at odds with the situation in which she currently finds herself. "Well, talking to a lion – a talking lion, I mean – that's new. My job is still pretty new, this place is pretty new...to me, I mean, it actually looks sort of..."
She trails off, looking around for the first time, at the strange buildings, the bustling port with its docks and walkways. Not a skyscraper to be seen, no steel, no mirrored glass walls, no cars. "...not?"
It's really her best guess.
no subject
"A talking half lion, half human." He corrects, just chilling out up here. Please don't actually join him, he might just push you off. His ledge.
"Before you make any guesses, I don't know anything about this place other than it's magic. I ain't a local and I got here same as you."

If she's stumbled into one of those alternate universes Barry was talking about, it's perhaps not only possible, but outright plausible.
It is, also, deeply cool.
Not being in an alternate universe: she's got no Barry to help her get back, no Winn to make her smile, no James to steady her, no Alex, no Cat. It's not the first time she's arrived somewhere by herself, confused and disoriented, but she'd pretty much hoped to not repeat the experience. "Have you met any locals?"
no subject
"Yeah. I mean they're everywhere." He turns his head to see the welcoming party approach, one of the men regard Shadow with wariness. They've met, Shadow beating the guy up out of fear of this new place.
He's over it.

She closes her eyes tight, opens them again, stares despairingly at the building in front of her that is demonstrably not CatCo.
"I am totally gonna get fired."
