Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!
3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"Yessir. I thought you might be. Both of those things. All of them."
He shook his head.
"Slowly sir. I feel like I have two left feet I've also gained a few more inches since I arrived, so I keep having to get new clothing." And if he was babbling, well, he was very, very happy to see this man, the one he respected most of all he had ever known.
Ahead, he saw the tavern, the Roadhouse sign clear, and the blue door in their sights. "There!"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
He quirks a smile at Pod at his last comment, "Let us just say that I see much opportunity here, if I can dance fast enough for the Dragon's fiddles."
He walks along as best he can, nodding his head. As this was once his squire - well - he's glad to hear he's coming along so well. "You'll be tall as a tree soon, my lad. But all the better to become a great - and intelligent - warrior."
He looked up at the sign, his gaze brightening, "Is there wine?"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
He sat back then, and rubbed his face. "A lot has happened since I saw you last."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
He stroked his beard thoughtfully, "Start at the beginning."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"After leaving your cell, milord, Ser Jamie led me outside, and along the way, Bronn joined us. They both escorted me to where Lady Ser Brienne of Tarth was preparing a journey. She was being sent out by Ser Jamie to find the Stark girls and protect them, something he had promised their mother he would do. He presented me to Lady Ser Brienne and I became her squire. She was not... happy about that, but she treated me well, and instructed me, as we traveled." His words were quiet, but spoken without hesitation. He had seen the corruption and darkness in King's Landing, and while he had hated failing Tyrion, and leaving him behind, he had nonetheless been glad to be out of that city..
"Eventually, we did find Lady Sansa, but she was in the escort of Ser Littlefinger, and would not come away with us. When we followed them, for Ser Lady Brienne was not too trusting of his intentions, we found that he had somehow schemed to hand her over to the Boltons, and we were unable to stop her from being taken to Winterfell, which they now held." He paused and rubbed his face again, thinking. Then he went on.
"We... had second hand words from stuff who served there, who were in favor of her, and who would spy for us. And we waited, for a chance to get her out, for some hope. And then Lord Stannis arrived, and started to set siege to the place, and Ser Lady Brienne had... she had history and a grudge against Lord Baratheon, and she went, and killed him."
He swallowed. "And then i woke up here, and Lady Sansa was here, as well, and she swore me to be her sworn sword, which mostly, here, is me being her friend."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Or is that what you are trying to recapture, Kingslayer? If he wanted that, he should have closed his legs to Cersei long ago...
The wine arrived, and he asked for another glass, eying it for a moment before liberally mixing in water with wine. Sipping, as Podrick finished his tale.
"And you two have seen no sign of Ser Lady Brienne since then?"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"Hopefully she is safe." He worried about her. He worried about all of them. Then he grinned as he looked at Tyrion. "I am very glad you are here, milord." Very, very glad.
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"What else have you learned here?"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"I have learned of ice cream, and of fashions of dress and customs I again do not know of, not before here, anyway. I have learned some of fighting from different teachers, and how to make a drink called a bloody mary. And of efforts to escape, not successful, of strange monsters called bunny monsters, and of giant monsters who can be heroes called werewolves. And..." He paused here, and went pink to his ears.
"And I have fallen in love, Lord Tyrion."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Ice cream, clothes, different kinds of fighting, drinks, you could not escape, and there were ... rabbit monsters? And werewolves.
Yes, he was definitely going to put in a trip to their library - wait, what?
A smile unexpectedly burst across his face, "No, you, Podrick? Who is the fortunate lady?"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Podrick didn't feel her was exaggerating at all. He had known, and now knew, many beautiful women, but Allison put them all to shame.
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Seven knows he couldn't have been happy serving a runt like him all his life. "You shall have to introduce us."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"We all get houses, each to ourselves, through, as sworn sword, I moved in with Lady Sansa, to a spare room there. It seemed the right thing to do." He had no idea, really, because, well, this place was way outside his experience. "And I find I like being a tailor as much as a sword. Much fewer people trying to kill us here.' He might have said that before, but... well, it seemed it was something on his mind.
The chicken fingers came, and he grinned. "Breaded chicken, milord, with a different sauce, something like country sauces I have tasted." It was ranch, but Podrick had never asked.
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"Yes, I've heard that in the brochure ... they must be rather small houses? Like well placed cottages, and the like." Nothing like Casterly Rock, or King's Landing. "And what other position might there be here? I cannot see myself as a tailor, unfortunately. Even if there are fewer people here trying to kill us."
He eyed the chicken, with it's breaded covering, but -- when in Medietas. He took one, and broke off a piece on his plate, chewing on it thoughtfully. "...Rather good, this. I like the way it crunches."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
As to a position for Tyrion, Podrick swallowed. "I... do not know. There are many jobs available, but... frankly milord, I do not know what your skills are, outside of smarts and inspiration. It is possible that someone smarter than i and more conversant with the way jobs like those here work could help you, but I will do my best to assist you."
Podrick nodded. "There are many goods here that are like and yet unlike our own, and not all bad, but not all good, either."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"Well, I suppose I shall simply have to go searching on my own. No worries, Podrick. I do not want to disrupt your life anymore than I already have."
He broke off another piece of chicken. "What is worse?"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Then he ducked his head and nodded.
"It is possible the Lady Sansa or one of her friends might have an answer I lack." He smiled at that.
And then grimaced "Fake blood pudding. With food coloring, milord."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
He smiled slowly, before he nodded his head.
"I am sure she will. She's quite adapt at ... adapting." Not to mention surviving.
Watch as Tyrion's expression curls into disgust. "... why would they ever...?"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"She seems so, yes. She seems, I think to also be an actress or growing talent."
Then he chuckled. "I know not, and I was too busy choking to ask, in all due honesty." Dead bodies he could handle, this mess he could not.
"But there is also something very good called a hamburger, which is a flame cooked meat from a herbivore, which tastes... very good, Lord Tyrion."
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"Sansa? She is ... very good at knowing what to tell people with her expression, her eyes a mystery." He pressed a finger to his mouth, before he shook his head.
He made a face at that, before he tipped his head, "Indeed? Can I get one of those ...hamburgers here?"
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
Podrick nodded, again. "I think so." He rose and held up a hand, and a waitress came by. After a brief request, he sent her on her way. "It will be a few minutes. After this, we can find your house, or... whatever you like." He was bouncy, almost in his happiness.
Re: Tyrion Lannister | ASOIAF | Option 3
"I am glad she is weil -- and I will be pleased to see her once more, if she wishes to see me."
He flashed a brief smile at the waitress, was surprised to see her smile back, then arched an eyebrow. "...well clearly my reputation has not preceded itself."
He shook that off mentally, "First, my home. Then, the library." Information, he needed more information ...

"All of us, well, with the exception oft hose from home... it's a whole new start." He nodded. There were so many new people, new things to learn. "There are more books here than I have ever seen."
no subject
His gaze brightened then. "Is that so? Well you have just given me an impetus to stay."
no subject
"Not to jinx us, but it is often boring. Except when giant bunny monsters attack and try to kill us all."
At Tyrion's words, he grinned. "I believe you will like it, milord. I felt like my head might fall off from turning it around to look every direction at once."
